I get it now. It's just bad luck, or bad circumstances, or for some unknown reason you're not receptive to the author's style. It's a pity and you couldn't love the drama as much as you could. It's sad because nobody likes to be disappointed.

I know the writer well and her style has evolved from drama to drama. Since her drama Start-up, she's been writing more thematically. That's what's most difficult. And I think almost impossible to do well. And that kind of writing often disappoints me.
So I liked her earlier dramas better than Start-up. And in Castaway Diva, she got even better. But maybe here too, you had the same feeling as I did for Start-up. And you're missing something more visceral, something that strikes more directly.

For example, in your list, you liked the drama "While You Were Sleeping", written by the same scriptwriter. So you certainly prefer this type of energy, which is less about finesse and more about impact. I often tend to react the same way. But objectively, I'm forced to admit that the writing quality of Castaway Diva is awfully good.

I rewatched so many time the scene I put in link. Gosh, it hits hard and deep.

The scene use the instrumental version of the song first.
Then it use the song version. WooOOooOoOooOwwww!!!!

Sorry, but a SML or SFL spying the hug or kiss scene is a must.
I can't trust a kdrama is a kdrama without that.

I think it's really more than average for various reasons:
- Just how the emotions hit hard and deep.
- The density of the writing. Quite awesome how everything is linked and nothing is lost.
- It was a long time I didn't meet something so consistent.
Then, I can't say too it's the best.
As a whole, I've meet some dramas that striked me more.

To be said it's true for all sets of all dramas.

I was interpreting that because he becomes human.

Maybe my sentence was badly turned. I mean the drama is way better than the manhwa. I made already a list of points about differences. And also, once the first setup is done, incarnations are differents and better linked with each other. The director work is awesome, and he did also the script. Maybe it's why there is so much visual power.

I made comparison with the manhwa, it's waaaaay better.

Like someone else said to me: it's not the same style.
My Demon is a classic rom-com, with a light tone (and some dramatic moments). The other drama is heavy. The only comedy doesn't sounds like comedy scenes but black humor from situations.
About writing, My Demon is more complicated. Lot of foreshadowing, correlations, etc. While the other is more hit-power, straight to the point.

He doesn't even close his secret room with the soul-clocks. LOL!

Maybe it lacks a soul? It's the kind of drama we already watched tons of time. But I still prefer that than Goblin. More funny, more plot, and ofc less boring.
