It was in book since quite a while. By small touchs. For example, in the island hotel, he protects her and fights another guy who want to abuse her. (sorry I don't remember who it was, but the guy got beaten hard).

People kill their watching experience with that. The drama provides first emotions and story. About the plot-mechanics, we can just see after how it was made. And any great drama can be rewatched tons of time, so there is a quality that depends on each scene. Of course I also like unpredictable dramas. W is my favorite one, and quite hard to guess, or even understand. But I can rewatch it with pleasure, even I know everything about the plot and explanations.
Writer Park Hye Ryun is one of the best. Quite sincere, as she often use the same themes. I mean, she's involved in emotions, so it's why she provides emotions. - Plot related: She masterizes the exact information she gives to the audience. As an example, episode 1, she makes us guess Ki Ho have a problem with his father, increasing the tension until the beating scene. But about Mok Ha, it's a hard plot-twist. Coming in answer of a previous scene with Ki Ho. We had almost no chance to guess that. She chooses what she want to be unpredictable, predictable, or half. Why worry about that? - Story related: more difficult, this writer masterizes also the moments when she creates emotional peaks, so everyone is moved when watching the scene.

The writers had a big saga in mind, but had to close it with 12 episodes. I was worried they had to delete too much content or pack it so tightly it doesn't make sens anymore. BUT NO, it didn't happened like that, even if it's quite fast paced. Just in the last episode, there is a hint of the future (what the writers had to give up), but the story has a clear and acceptable closure.
When in season1, I couldn't remember many background musics, BGM in sword of Aramun stand out. How to put it? Both have good music, but S2 ones jump at my ears.

Because it's a mystery, we are more attentive to the drama. This make people curious to check all reactions of the brothers. As a writer trick, it's brillant. It's not important if the mystery is easy to guess like a teaser, it works as long the writer doesn't give a clear revelation.
