I think one of my hypothesis was true: Do Guk was in the other car ep1, because his tatoo is same date 2023-07-20.…
While I'm into it, I was expecting this: The FL fail in her revenge, at the 2023-07-20 date. But now, the ML is going back in time, and go to the same date when the FL woke up. So, he knows everything she has done. And what he have done too. He starts by reproducing the same things, the mariage proposal, and so on, like he did the first time. Except, in this new timeline, he will try to change what caused the revenge to fail.
I think one of my hypothesis was true: Do Guk was in the other car ep1, because his tatoo is same date 2023-07-20.…
No idea. If he wasn't in the art gallery, it's already a good thing. It means he can be on the road. From this writer, I expected some twist about the high-concept, because his previous drama was that. But not as much as SJJ dramas.
I wonder if it could be another twist. The car accident looks like fate, but the white truck on top is mysterious. It's a bit like a set-up. As if someone having information about the past (or future) could organize that. I don't know what way.
Let's see new timeline: if they get revenge, why should they die at this date? The time have been rewritten. Nothing say they should absolutly die. And what if someone is going back in time in this new timeline. What if there was a previous timeline with another travel in time.
Ep6, Do Guk tells how happened the accident with his brother. I understood almost nothing. And there is no flashback of the scene. I can't blame that much the writer: probably he wrote that this way because budget limitation. By the way, there are other dialogues like that, doing expo by telling rather showing. It's something I saw a lot in older daily makjang with limited number of sets.
Spoiler spoiler spoilerThese comments may be spoilers if you have not yet watched five and six..I am still here…
I think one of my hypothesis was true: Do Guk was in the other car ep1, because his tatoo is same date 2023-07-20. So he should be from the future too. The situation was tragic for the FL until now, because she's supposed to die at this date. It's why she doesn't want enter a love relation. But as soon as she does, we get the revelation of the ML tatoo. So, they should die together at the same time. As well live love before.
Episodes 5 and 6 - Hi W and Shinhwafan, I have seen Episodes 5 and 6 and won't write in detail until you have…
Hi, don't bother. Use spoiler tag, or indicate episode number at the start. I've watched 5 and starting 6. Disapointed about the wedding dress. The one she tried in the shop was better.
I don't think she is RanJoo? like...Are they telling the story from the Future or? I honestly think Maybe she's…
Could be future Ran Joo, or how Ran Joo speak to herself. In a previous episode, a producer says divas should think about they have twice their age, for their career.
Excellent main actress and intriguing situation about premonition ability. Main characters and story are ok, but not much plot. Yeah, FL drinks a lot, but it fits the storyline. ML is unpleasant, but ditto, it's logic. On episode 3, I think it lacks dramatic intensity and it's draggy.
Alas, the drama is wasted by no-funny comedy: Slapstick, people yelling (what funny in that?), cringe support characters overacting. It's so noisy and painful, making the story loose credibility. Only a few comedy situations are good. And of course main actress is always funny .
There are some villains. - The big boss Do Yoon Wan, greedy and hateful, manipulating. - The coward and crawling one Song Hyun Cheol. I like a lot the last one. He's disgusting and have a nerve to behave so annoyingly. Each time he talk, you dream another character punch him.
This is a medical drama but how much blood or surgery scenes are in this? Asking because someone recommended this…
A lot. of course, live operation, it's fake blood or meat, cut with scalpel. But when they do it by cam, I wonder if it's stock videos from real operations. 😨 You see inside the body everything, flesh operated in organs. 🤢 🤮
Dont read through the general comments here if you want to be unspoiled. People are posting what happenned in…
It's ok I don't read. And here we can use the spoiler tag. Some details come back in my mind and I think now you are right, there are some elements of parody. And the shows don't take itself too seriously. Can be the line "are we in a soap opera" or this: Ep1, when the FL have a car accident and hits another car. It's enough for the story. BUT, like a gag, a big white truck comes and double the accident. Then leave, as if it was a murder.
I wonder if the other car could have something to do with the story. Maybe someone else going back in time? And is the white truck here to commit a murder, or is it just an accident?
Hi Monmor. Yeah, we are vampirizing this zone of MDL. lol!I didn't notice the parody aspect yet. Or it's not so…
It's difficult because I watched only 2 episodes. By the way, don't give me any spoiler. ;-)
We can feel the lower production budget about cinematography. Really not a drama with, let's say, castaway Diva visual flamboyance. And about actors, they are mostly unknow for weekly dramas. Veterans in this are used to play support roles (everywhere, weekly or daily drama). So I guess it's not a big budget. BUT, they have a good writer. (except the weird beginning, but even AAA dramas have sometimes a bad expo).
This sounds like a makjang with a "what if". What if instead to be a victim, the heroin anticipate villain steps? What if she punish them for something they didn't commit yet (so they understand nothing about what's going on and why she does that). It's also a way to shows they aren't bad only because what they do, but just because what they are. By the way, I remember a strong dialog line from the mother to the FL. She litteraly says somethine like that: I hate you for what you are, just because you exist. So, mother hope to pervert her over time.
More weird, mother can't stand candor and goodness without motive. Then I wouldn't surprised if mother ends to love the FL more than her own daughter. But see also the other part, the FL considers all her life was a lie, and she was just selfish by being so good. Because this goodness was just a weapon to be adopted, or getting something from others. It's really twisted. There are surprising reaction. I remember vaguely when they are on a dinner in a park at night (maybe ep3 I started). The ML is agree about FL decision when it's something selfish.
I have posted over on BOD before I read this. Monmor here. I was asking myself if it is possible to parody a 2000s…
Hi Monmor. Yeah, we are vampirizing this zone of MDL. lol! I didn't notice the parody aspect yet. Or it's not so clear than Kim Soon Ok's dramas. Or maybe it's more a subversion? The heroine is the classic victim of makjang, taking revenge later. But the high-concept make she takes revenge before!! Before to be hurt! What create a real mess for the antagonists and anticipate/change the classic storylines. Just the mariage proposal is something, on a episode 2 !!
Jung ji oh is a man of pride and actually very insecure inside. While he loved jun young to death, once they back…
Yes, it helps a lot, thanks!! I guessed it was some inner motive, irrational. Even without explanation, I could feel it was reliable and accepted the situation. I think it was a great twist in the middle of the drama.
I was sometimes lost in the drama, slow or without seeing a plot. It was more a slice of life. Now I remember, there was a lot of others good characters. An assistant was so annoying, and I couldn't understand why this dude wasn't fired, but the situation was funny. Also the other couple, the man tries to reconcile after many years, a frustrating situation. And this other director too was annoying. Lot of conflicts. I used photos of these people for extras characters in my own drama screenplay.
I like dramas showing how are made dramas. And this one took real situations of this era, like: the episode is airing and the producer is waiting someone bring the record of the end of the episode. It's probably a drama I could rewatch and enjoy better now. It was one of the first drama I watched, and I couldn't get the best of it at this time.
I feel like the 'castaway' part is a bit wasted , like it's just there to move the plot along you can hang just…
About script structure: until now (to confirm further episodes), the Island part is used as a thematic each episode. We get a flashback from a specific moment on the island. And the meaning or metaphor will make sens with what happen in the episode. We got: Ep3 - the cooler with the ramen (don't eat alone, loneliness in big city same as in island) Ep4 - horse chestnuts that make you sick (toxic person)
