Didn't you drop this drama at Ep 4? You made a point of responding to a couple of comments with that information.…
No real spoiler here, it's evasive. I put spoilers in a message with "spoiler" tag. Yeah I've drop ep4, but tried two more episodes thanks to a positive message from someone here.
It was a good move from the director. So Ra starts to run at normal speed, then it goes on Slow Motion and I don't know how, the actress perform some convincing expressions in full run.
I like how the director enhance the emotions. 57:30. For example, when So Ra looks at the two others women (rivals) and becomes dizzy. Fast blurs, sound effect and shot on the ear, fast zoom, etc. Just before (rewatch the whole scene), many close up on eyes.
I don't see how La El can hide the truth now. It was too much to give informations about the (scary) female bodyguard and car. How So Ra wouldn't suspect her?

"Story of yanxi palace": I don't understand why they didn't shoot this with real sets and real actors, instead of making it an animated film for childs with 3d models.

I just analyse the fact with the c-drama I watched, or the other ones I partly watched. It's not that yet. Too soft and clean directing with standard shots, linear writing, no sens of sophisticated screenplay. More production, less artwork.
But else, I like a lot Hong Kong cinema from the 80's.

First if I was sinophobic, I wouldn't have watched a few c-drama.
Your sensitivity about art is very low. Almost no knowledge about cinematography and storytelling. So you look like a hysteric with dumb comments since two days here.
Korea drama industry have far more experience than China one. It's obvious for people watching dramas since more than ten years, at a time when there were almost no C-dramas here. Educate yourself.
After reading all the butthurt comments on this page, I’m still not sure what exactly this drama is supposed…

Law is specific about plagiarism. As long we don't have the verdict of a trial, consider it's none. What is the content come from the execution, the writing. So, let's say, a C-drama use an idea. Anyone can use the same idea. But if there are whole parts of the writing identical (same lines and scenes), there is a chance to win a trial.
Here, it's just Hong sisters are better writers. They can use the same idea but will do something better with that. Same about directing. Korea is ahead of China about dramas, storytelling, screenplay, directing, art. Maybe it will change one day, because C-dramas improved a lot, and are maybe the best in asia after korean and Japanese ones. But it's not the time yet, even with more money.
It's a fair review. Amazing quality about CGI, directing, fight on the ice. But that's don't make a story and it was rather empty, long and illustrative... with awful BGM. The story catch up later in the slow paced episode. Even, the drama starts to hook for good at episode 2.
