You are right, but then again, not all songs are bad. It depends also on who listens them. Tastes are different…
Yo! Same anniversary, I started in 2011 too. But... Just < 200 dramas. Some of them I rewatched. I don't skip episodes or scenes. I dislike that, as every scene should be important in the story. So, when too much scenes are boring or fillers, I just drop the drama. ^^ But I have to be cautious with older kdramas, because they have some repetitive nerve wrecking scenes (people chasing each other, or missing them because they go out of the elevator when the other enters the other elevator). I should use fast forward about that.

Sorry, I'm a bit painful each time I speak about music. 😅 A bit of frustration, I need to hear 100 songs before to find one I like.
I hope you enjoyed the version of the Ailee song I posted previously. They are very talentuous in "Fantastic Duo" and most of the time, the songs are better than the original version.
I looked at your list of dramas, it's crazy, over 1000 dramas? Do you have access to a hidden dimension where time passes more slowly to watch them?
I wanted to see if you had watched this very classic drama "Stairway to Heaven". And you haven't! Here is the main song "I miss you". A quality on the different parts, intro-verse-bridge-chorus. You can try the experience, there are chances that you like the song, even if you didn't watch the drama. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLm19MP26D4
I wanted to give this example because of the version of "Fantastic Duo" (the original singer Kim Bum Soo and a guest amateur Kim Da Mi): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uk7176wJFk I prefer the more intimate intro and verse on the original version, but in the version of "Fantastic Duo", they reach heights in the second half.
I thought it was a drama song and so I looked up which one. Actually no, it's just a normal song.
But also a drama!!! A six minute drama, just the time of the song. No need for dialogue, we understand the story, there is even foreshadowing and a good plot-twist at the end!
I guess there are other song-dramas like this, but I don't know anything about kpop. If you know of mini-dramas just for the time of a song, it could make a good article.

Of course, there are some good songs in the bunch. However, many drama songs have another problem, it's copied and pasted from other songs. The song from Reset "My Only" proposed in the article has common harmonic grid, and if I had time, I could find every moment of the song copied from another previous song.
Whereas in this drama, there is this song that has a musical interest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Axq2LoL7bsg Mainly on the intro and the verse, because the chorus is plain and noisy.
I think this sums up the reason why people like drama songs, because it reminds them of the drama. But unfortunately, many of these songs are not of good quality. It comes rather by the repetition and the fact that the drama is moving. The repetition ("harping") is also used by the media to sell lots of pop-music songs, which are bad on the whole.
The good songs jump to the ears from the first time! For example on the recent drama "Alchemy of Souls", many people reacted positively to the song at the end of episode 1, even for a short sample. That's a sign that it's a good song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYv7HsBr9aM Once whole, the song is not that good, especially the intro and the chorus (at 1:50) produce the "wow" effect, the extract heard in the drama.
This and WHY HER both have the same problem as many drama these days have, lack of chemistry, boring dynamic and…
Ok, I will watch "secret" because it's on my watchlist and look like a good old school makjang as I like them. But I can't compare Eve to "why her". Eve is quite well written (but a bit too slow) while "why her" accumulate a lot of writing flaws. I have dropped that, while I'm still happy to see the new "eve" episode each week.
Goblin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niLWh6G49-A I don't understand how such a good song can be into this boring drama, where other songs are terrible. This duo version is better than the original one, until the end, wow effect! I like Ailee, very beautiful woman by the way. She looks more natural than many actress.
I'm a bit too tired now to make long comment. In short: - Some subplots, support characters, not bad but I can feel it spreads too much/too long time. - Amazing two leads actors, and all the situations about them are great. - So, I enjoy the drama. ^^
Yaa, it's like the original series. So if you don't like the Korean version, you might not like the original either
It means the korean remake is better! Because anything else than what I mentioned is alright. Directing, sets, colors, action, etc. And of course the idea of North-South.
I'm watching episode 2 and now it starts to be good, without too much problems. Of course I see weird things. The guys doesn't watch the prisonner, the director run away. Else I focus on scenes or scenes cut, some are excellent, when Tokyo finishes the sentence seen in a flashback for example.
I understand better why there are so many comments from disappointed people now that I've seen episode 1.
They wanted to put a lot of action from the beginning, but it doesn't really work. - Too quick introduction of the team, we don't get a sense of why and how they work together. - An "A-Team" type feeling with perfect operation, everything works without much surprise. - A very risky plan and yet they spend their time joking, laughing, making tons. I dislike that. I prefer heist movies with tension, suspense, people who take things seriously. - Here, no matter what happens, we don't care...

I have a proposal for an article for you, based on the songs.
Here is a version of the song Grace (Lee Soo Young) that I like:

The official video looks like an MV like any drama. There is the popular actor Lee Jong Gi.

This guy definitely knows how to make the girl angry!!! 🤬
When Dever take the "pregnant" woman hand... and we expect he sees her watch.
And why would this guy want to have sex with her, when she just said she has her period!?? 😂
Or else........ Does he have some practices in mind?!!! 😅🤤................ 👄💩
