You are welcome! I could have missed it too. But I binge-watched recently Hot Stove League. Good drama too, but…
I can't recommend many, I don't have in my watchlist. Except the c-drama "The King’s Avatar". With an actor everybody like very much. It's e-sport. But not as a thing they forget like in some other dramas. It's really focalised on that, with many e-sport scenes. Full scenes of only what happens in the game and how the players try to win.
Hello!!! How's the drama so far? I'm not that much into sports-themed dramas but I liked Run On! Do they have…
There is a good intensity hidden behind the characters. They could have a relationship, and want it, but they can't. Inside them, there is a lot to heal. It's how I understand the drama for now. It lead to some nervous breakdown, and probably later more heartbreaking scenes. When the two leads meet, there is this kind of lovely feeling but it can't go further for now. I feel it well, so I enjoy the drama until now. Add to that many other characters, some are more or less assholes, and we get good conflicts and potential for every character.
Can someone explain the conversation between the parks on the track/training field in episode 3? They went on…
We did that earlier in the comments. Check mines (in some Spoiler tag after Pearl Harbor user). The fact is the drama look simple, but is not so. There is a lot of subtext underlining the characters decisions and reactions.
Am i stupid or are some of the flashbacks really not clear?? i get confused and then I realize oh this is not…
I wrote two times already about this scene. I was confusing the flashback with a time jump. The previous scene ends with the FL walking out screen. Maybe it was better to make her stop and have a "I will have a flashback" gaze. Or just use a technique like Slide-Cut or a Flash-Cut. Add to that, a classic SUPERIMPOSE : "3 years before".
If you want to see how good some flashback transitions can be, watch my favorite drama "W two worlds". The story is complex and the audience could be easely lost, with so many flashbacks, montages, people in different worlds, even hypothetical scenes (dream or daydream). So the director did his max to make that the clearest as possible.
He uses many differents techniques, some innovative ones, like for example episode 1, there is a slide cut with fade in the flashback (in the same room) and a bit grey colors. Else, he use classic flashs, for short flashback. Change saturation and contrast for the other world. Add blurry effect on the edge of the screen for hypothetical scenes.
But of course, this director has a better experience than the one of Love All Play. He's also a fan of cinema, so each of his drama have a reference to a scene from a great movie. For example in King2Heart, the episode 2 "give me a glass of water" scene, looking like a scene from a Kubrick movie.
This drama managed to stay completely off my radar until now for some reason. Diving in!
You are welcome! I could have missed it too. But I binge-watched recently Hot Stove League. Good drama too, but ended frustrated because of the "no-sport" into it. So I jumped on "Love All Play". A sport drama with Sport! ^^
I randomly watched this drama last night. I watched all 4 episode in one sit. When first episode released, i came…
It can't be romcom. There is no comedy. It's about sport, road for victory and accomplishment, surpass yourself for healing, then love. Each character in the drama have its own road to become a better version of themselves.
Ep 4 pissed me off even more. I wanna insert myself into this show and slap everyone seriously. The coaches are…
It's not the best team. Anyone have room for improvement, the coaches too. Changes for a better good. Probably the drama will develop that. What will be interesting. Starting from a situation with a lot of conflicts, what is quite good for drama. Then inner conflicts after confrontation between each others or with reality. If it make you want to slap them, the screenwriter was successful, it was what intented. ;-)

But I was quick enough to stop reading in time. Safe now. ;-D
The director needs to cheat a bit.

Just at random: Stranger, My Fair Lady.
I loved this line and this episode 2 cliffhanger. Powerful!!
