Yes, in terms of screenplay, HP is terrible. But the producer rightly thought that it was valuable and produced it. And he was right, it was still successful. The writer was already known, and he probably felt that the friendship and good feeling side would take over. He expected a certain audience. So a totally out of bounds screenplay that was normally destined to fail did succeed. A genius producer! In a way, this is a remarkable move, because it allows to show something really unexpected. This would never have been produced in the West. And if the screenwriter had given her project without being known before, absolutely no chance.

It is indeed boring to death, but also very confusing. The list of flaws is very long, of which we can say mainly: very few conflicts, mainly resolved by "tell" (even when the scene could have been shown sometimes), characters talking about strangers who are not in the room and about whom we know nothing (or that we have forgotten), redundancy of scenes (at least 5 scenes where the characters are talking while eating per episode), scenes with weak objectives (or diluted in such a mess that we can't find the objective or that we miss it), accumulation of too many characters from the beginning, weak dramatic stakes, absence of plot, scenes too long with uninteresting dialogues all the time.
The fans try to contradict this by claiming "but it's a slice of life, you don't like it because you don't like slice of life". Except that a good slice of life doesn't have those kind of flaws. The screenplay is objectively bad. But I have no problem if people liked it. I'm happy for them, because it's always nice to see someone enjoying a content.

You don't need to know anything about screenwriting to see all this and understand how each of the points I mentioned will destroy your interest in the drama. But by any chance, you can find advice from the greatest screenwriters, and they all give advice that this list of mistakes are the worst things to do. And the interesting thing is that Hospital Playlist proves it! If you watch this, expect to experience all the feelings I described, and you'll quickly know where the problems come from. For me this drama was a gold mine!!

Example, with a well-known screenwriter whose language is much harsh than mine:
https://creativewriting.fandom.com/wiki/David_Mamet_on_Drama
"ANY TIME TWO CHARACTERS ARE TALKING ABOUT A THIRD, THE SCENE IS A CROCK OF SHIT."

In his speech, I could see that several of my scenes (for the first three episodes of exposition) had problems that he mentions. Except that I couldn't fix that without adding at least two or three more episodes, when I had to condense exposition points. So instead I rewrote the scenes to be visual because I had no choice. It's a matter of screen time and length. If I have to take too much time to expose otherwise, it will be boring for the audience anyway. These are problems that should have been detected before building the story structure. But I have such an accumulation of foreshadowing at the beginning that I honestly don't see how it could have been possible otherwise. At a certain point, we can only accept that things are the way they are, and make the best of it if we can't change everything.

Her father who is also a badminton coach is her adopted father... Right ?
Really? What episode/scenes we learn that? I missed the thing.

I was more excited for shooting stars but love all play is now becoming my favourite
The other one is a rom-com, right?
Here there is no comedy, so of course, it's deeper about emotions.

The gold olympic medal trainer... add to that, an unknow relationship with FL father. Something goes wrong too on that. ahaha. It's full of secrets everywhere. As you said previously, it's supposed to be a sport romantic drama, but build like a mystery crime one.
EDIT: someone just learned to me about FL father, she was adopted! No idea where to find that in the drama. Just, if it's true, it add some more possibilities. ^^

It will be an excellent twist. Lot of tears, buckets of tears, white tanker truck of tears. Do you remember in what episode/scene we know the ML is the brother? Also, I know the ML have some problems too (when he says "I tried, everyone said me to try") but I have no idea why (the situation with his sister?). At first he was like a champion, but not anymore? It's crazy, I watched that yesterday, but I feel my mind is already empty.

The almost protagonist girlfriend in Mouse. I wanted to see her again with a more compeling romance, looks like…
My bad! Someone just said me she's ML sister, but I don't remember in what scene we know that. She was a sport partner and friend (unnie) of the FL for sure. And lover of Yook Jung Hwan.

Damn, it's true it's more complicated than what it looks like.
I think we don't know the whole situation about Jun Young, because last flashback show her at the hospital recovering. It's like something worst will happen after.
Park Tae Joon is Park Jun Young brother??? Really? How I could missed that...

"Jung Hwan she said she is back and she is having alot of fun". It's subtext, it's mostly a lie. Quite easy to detect as she's almost crying when saying that. Very common thing. People who refuse to admit something and say the opposite. She desesperatly want that and say it like it's done, but in her deeper truth, she can't achieve that yet.

End of the "line" scene, she says "let's not get angry though".

Last scene, he goes to her. She just asks "why are you here?". He answers "To win", and then she cries.
It doesn't make sense to cry here, unless there is a deep inner conflict. The point is that this is what she really needs, "to win". So pretty consistent with my previous interpretation. She doesn't need to feel comfortable with him or have a love story, she needs to win. And obviously he understands her need (at least instinctively).

She asks "is it okay for me to win? Do I have the right?". Here, same explanation as before. She has a psychological block that prevents her from moving forward in her life, and from winning. At the same time it is what she needs to have the proof that she is free of her suffering. It is for this reason (consciously or unconsciously) that she decided to come back to badminton 3 years later, a situation at the source of her problem.

If we start from the point of view of Tae Joon who has a crush on her. According to his level of understanding of the situation or at least his instinct, theoretically he must feel too that he can't have a love story with her, before she solves her problem. So he will wait and help her. Be less pushy than before (flirting) and focus more on the sports partnership. And he probably has some things to solve on his side too.

On Tae Yang's side, as we can expect with an inner conflict, she hesitates, says one thing and does another, changes her mind, doesn't know what to do, the kind of irrationality common in these cases. Logically, she should accept Tae Joon's offer to train with him, focusing on the sport first. And try to avoid being too comfortable.

Of course, this will give strength to the underlying love story that is in restraint. A love story that progresses as the badminton wins come and go. Every failure could reflect on the love story as well because of this mechanic (especially for Tae Joon ). For Tae Yang, it's a complication that prevents her from solving her problem. Shit, I feel like I have the story line now. I hope there will be some surprises! ^^

Yeah I rewatched the "line" scene, it's that. She says she feel confortable with him, then she says it makes her inconfortable to be confortable. Just before she says "there is something I can't forget. But I can forget it when I am with you. I can laugh and depending on you".

Just now we get explanations:

- It's because there is a culpability inside her. She don't want to forget until she solves that. Everytime she say she forgot to Jung Hwan, but it's false. Now she fight for a real healing and recovery, using badminton.

- She don't want make him a tool that mainly help her to forget something she didn't solve about her life.

- Probably too, she envision a love story, but not with dependency (so the line about to be dependant of him). She needs to be her true self before, not someone dependent. It's something anyone falling in love can feel.

- Finaly, I wonder about that: being confortable won't be what will help her to succed her badminton carrer. She need the energy of her previous failure to make her hard enough on work.

The others senior girls know the truth? I don't remember. If they know only she's implicated in a bride, it's probably ok for Tae Yang, and she keep a low profile. But Jung Hwan is really a problem for her because he know everything.
I would need to check that, but aahhh I don't wan't to rewatch the episodes now.

Why she say she's uncomfortable... It look like a love-plot twist. Maybe there will be more explanations later. I suppose an inner conflict. She made a dream where she kiss him. But after she feel shameful, embarassed, as she know her dream is probably the truth. Look like she's isn't ready to accept that.

So this scene start like a romantic one (ready for a kiss) and end differently in the same way. She's not ready for a love story now. Have to heal before. Recover from the accident 3 years before and find again her self-confidence. It can't be done until she has the proof of this, so it means she have to win big matches. In itself (if we put away the difficulty to get the meaning), it was a good scene. I was surprised so of course I like that.

Here too, it would need a rewatch and focus a lot on many reactions and interactions to better know. But I have no time or motivation, and I'm just watching the story and get the meaning as we go along.

It was brutal. A quite good and unexpected scene. But we need to have an explanation for that, later. Obviously, they don't like each other but it's hard to know why so much at this point. About that, Tae Yang isn't a very responsable person. So it fit what she's. Get angry during the match, or desobey 3 years before and implicated in another accident. Of course it's dangerous, but a drama stand with this kind of strong scenes.

Like you I wonder a lot about the motivations, it was unclear at this point. I rewatched the scene to be sure, but it look like she's really pissed off by what he does (takes her earphone) then trying to makes her remember what she don't wan't. He threaten her to reveal the truth to everyone... then... it's like it explode in her head and suddenly angry, she kick him. We know now this character is simple minded, quite irresponsible, so not so surprizing after we know that.

This scene, I had no idea when it is, present or another flashback? Why they are here? It's a problem. And I couldn't detect the winter station was a flashback before (I was thinking about a Time jump). Quite confusing.

So about the dialog you speak about, I couldn't understand the begginning. As there is another flashback just before, thank to that we understand they talk about Jun Young (and we recognize her easely to be the girl in winter sports).
I don't know if the translation is bad but there is a weird line from her "Why are you suffering more when you're the victim?". This makes no sens. The scene, dramatization and the goal of the dialog are good (she recover of the accident but not him), but some lines put us off the boat at the start.

About the two characters differences, one think more about Jun Young and the other more about the accident. It's quite normal from the characters perspective. They speak about what is important for them and are a bit blind about the other needs. What is quite good.

I ended Episode 3 and I get that now.
At 41:00 begin a flashback (winter station). The transition was unclear. I didn't understood it was a flashback, and I was thinking it was a time jump. Then she meet Jung Hwan 55:15. I was a bit lost here. We get another flashback then. But I couldn't understand the beginning of the dialog because of that... confusion.

People say it's common, but I can't remember a drama with that.Only one I know is "boys over flowers" and it's…
It's what you said in your question. A ML with 3 or more girls in love with him. Boys over flowers (A remake, I only watched the japanese original Hanari jango), it's a FL with 4 flowers boys and each one end to fall in love with her.
