It's not useless, in itself it's a good exercice of drama analyze. For someone with the goal to write reviews, it's like training about to spot foreshadowing or details that matter.
I've done that with Hospital Playlist and thanks to that, my writing abilities improved, so badly written is the screenplay. I couldn't find a full list of tips about what to avoid, and more, I could see how bad it is once on screen. I did the same with King Eternal Monarch. Most of it is on my review (a review too harsh I think now, I didn't take the time to speak about positive points and I was a bit angry by the disapointement).
After that, I did a lot of corrections on my scenes. It jumped to me. When I see a 5 minutes car scene with a dialog in HP, with almost no goal (or small one), and I have myself a long car scene. What can I do? First the content of my dialog isn't useless (higher goals). But that's not enough and it's still a long 5 minutes. Then I can find a way to intercut that and cross meaning of the dialogs with others scenes. About exposition and characters introduction, same. I watch HP and see long and terrible dialogs scenes. No show, only tell. And boring scenes with characters speaking about others people we know nothing about it. Very confusing. I find I have a long dialogue scene too (exposition), better one because there is comedy. But still, it's too long, with telling only about some other people (a real screenplay mistake), we don't get the situation. Then I change that into a Montage with many flashback or others shorts scenes to make it visual.
It apply on Grid too. I don't have energy to spend more time on that, but I still took notes. It's quite interesting, because each time a point don't work on the screen, there is a way to think "how could it be done better". So it improve screenwriting ability.
What is a bit sad, it's always more easy to spot something that don't work, that something that work. About what lessons we can get from a content.
I suppose it's probably useless for audience with others hobbies than writing. It's a pain to rewatch a drama we didn't liked at first watching.
About actress Park Ju Hyun, she portrays her character well from the start. We had that feeling she was simple minded. And episode 3 confirm that with her father advice.
There is a bit of welcomed extra conflicts with others characters and trainers. These ones don't always do a good job. They accept to cancel their rules because one guy (promoted by the president) and the trainer wasn't able to understand Tae Joon strategy at the beginning of episode 3.
With Jung Hwan, we get a good additionnal arrogant and annoying guy. I'm not sure about what happened in the past, look like he was Tae Yang boyfriend?
I am used to watching back to back Chinese sports drama.....Happy there are kdrama starting off with sports too!…
I hope there is enough sport in this, because in Stove League there was really none. I still liked the drama, but understand me... I would like to watch a real sport drama now. :-D
I just watched 2 episodes. Yeah give this a try. It's interesting from the start. I liked some smart comedy lines (after the car accident). The characters are a bit too obvious. I think we get very soon what they want and how their values will interact. Or maybe it's just me because I notice that without really wanting to think about it, but I can feel the strings of the story.
Hahaha. For a Nation and culture obsessed with beauty and with technologies to remove it, they don't. But in nations…
I have the impression that it is a criterion of beauty. Lee Jong Suk for example, he has a mole very close to the eye. And that makes him even more attractive.
Argh!!! So I'm first to respond to the first!! :-D
Mmmmh, hard to say. When I saw the first episode, I was "wooow!!". Then after many more episodes, it was a bit too western feel. Difficulties to find emotions. Although the directing is amazing, I couldn't get a real epic feeling like with "Flower of evil" or even more "Mouse". So Taxi driver is for me a good drama, a bit procedural on some parts, with some "over-the-top" things but hopefully not as much as "Devil Judge". It's now more an average drama in my memory. But nothing so bad. It's watchable. I enjoyed the ride.

Ahah there is no reason. I know it's a weird name. I chose that because I wrote a season 2 in korean screenplay format. So anyone interested can look my profile and read it on my blog. ;-)
Only one I know is "boys over flowers" and it's a reverse harem.

I wanted to see her again with a more compeling romance, looks like it's done here.

I would be curious to see new actors now, and not only the previous cast.
I liked very much her role in School 2015, she was so perfectly annoying.
Your comment sounds weird to me, it's not like Hot Stove League!
