And even, true or false, I don't care. She would be just a too lovely girl. :-DDD I don't make a big deal of people real life or tabloids, my interest is IN the dramas.
I put the drama on hold at episode 5. It was unbalanced. Then I resume my watch episode 6 to 10. I was plaisantly surprised, it was better. But I put on hold again because Penthouse and Sisyphus. And now, I'm struggle so hard to watch the end. My interest is again zero. I feel like I have to force myself to watch next episode. Worse, I'm not sure I watched episode 11 a few, half or full. Then I may rewatch for nothing and it look like a boring episode. I've lost track with so many points of the story, since then. What a hell. T__T

Woo! It's like a story from a drama! Even best. A drama could be make with a plot like this. It is so nonsensical, everyone would say that the story is illogical. A man can't be a drama actor, if his wife forbids him to act as an actor when he need to. Everyone in the audience would say that the story is dumb. And yet!!!
True! Bad guy want to be president trope. I was pushed into it more because of "Cheat On Me, If You Can", which I just watched. But these are bad guys who don't have a legal problem. The main problem in Penthouse is how to use Joo Dan Tae in the future? Everyone loves the actor Uhm Ki Joon. It's impossible to get him out of prison and give him a new face by plastic surgery. And his sentence is heavy, Murder, attempted murder, and the rest. It would take a huge lie: he makes everyone believe that he has a twin brother. He has to pretend to commit suicide in prison, or organizes a fake murder of himself, everyone thinks he is dead. Then his twin brother enters the scene. It's a funny idea, but the writer has already used the "twin" card with Na Ae Gyo. I would see something horribly unfair instead. His trial is postponed on appeal, but the new judge is totally corrupt, or threatened, or blackmailed, and he is acquitted of his murder sentence.

I understand you so well. This drama is so fast paced and unhooking the jaw. Only other dramas that can make you feel that : W two worlds, Empress Ki, Liar Game (original Japanese, not korean remake), Memories of the Alhambra, and maybe Sisyphus. If you are Ok with makjang parody, try also The Last Empress or The Penthouse.

Much more finest comedy. Dark comedy. But not forced, it's subtle. The all genre of the drama is kind of makjang self-parody. If you like Vincenzo, there is only small chance you like Penthouse. I don't like Vincenzo because it's slapstick and forced comedy. But with the same plot of Vincenzo, I like Lawless Layer, because here too, it's dark comedy, more subtle.
It's one of the more fast paced drama. lol! Except rare dramas like 365 repeat the year, Penthouse or Empress…
I'm not saying this to annoy you, I apologize if I'm annoying. The reviews that say the drama has plot-holes make more sense. I can understand that. The explanations are quick, you can easily miss something, the writing is not so easy to follow, and spectators have to connect themselves some dots. Whether I agree or not, this is a criticism that I find logical.
