I should have been clearer. My guess is that he’s a family friend, but for all we know, he could be a relative, since BL likes that thing. I was just speculating on the step brother thing.

Childhood friend, or because its BL, he could be a step brother (Aey accuses him of always wanting to be a part of the family). Because step brother lovers and BL go together like icing on cake. Exactly what happened isn't 100% clear, but from what Aey implied, Mork betrayed Aey's secret relationship to his sister, probably because he wanted them to break up so he could have Aey for himself. (I think his kiss was sincere).

It’s a nice change from the standard BL, where we know from ep 1 who is paired. Yeah, it probably wasn’t intentional, but it makes Cupid Coach a little unique with this twist.

It's also possible that they spent the night playing patty cake. Although I'm assuming that they had sex because Kai was trying to avoid being seen by his mom. She's never forbidden him to get friendly with Andre before, so its not like he's breaking any rules by being in his room. But he's sure acting like rules were broken.

He probably is aware and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s why hes aware that he likes men in the first place.

Not sure that combing one comedy storyline with one dramatic storyline is going to work for me. It’s going to take some effort to make Songjae likeable enough after this episode to care if he’s paired. I guess pair him with Muren, have the CEO end up with the middle aged fujoshi, and the young fujoshi remain single and thwarted in her desires to ship anyone. The office oaf can be, idk, transferred to America at the last minute. Or hit by a car as he goes to get salt. Where’s my screenwriting fee?

“So the photographer is going around the world photographing boys swim teams?” I thought. “Pretty suspicious to focus on that one aspect of student life.” (Watches ep 8 teaser). “Egads, are there any men in this show who aren’t hitting on the students at this school!”

That said, Prab and Chen’s smiles when the AC broke again were adorable.

Woke up this morning and realized that Gene might still say "No" to Sib and have him move out. Darnit, why can't it be Wednesday already.

Yeah. They made several trips to the loo in ep. 1. Was hoping they got it out of their system. Hopefully we’re done with it. Thais just find pooping funny. Don’t know why, wish it weren’t so, but into each comedy, poop will eventually come.

The broadcast version is apparently 40 minutes, so you’re most likely watching the full version. To be fair, they did open this ep. 4 with Gene cleansing his mouth. Yeah, it was toothpaste and not soap, but as a bit of symbolic punishment for using harsh words, he had to swallow toothpaste,

Agree with her to a point, but I think she may be a little ahead of the story on Gene. I’m not sure that we know enough about Gene to say that Sib is his first love. But he’s got enough going on in his character that he might be. Or might not be. Gene is definitely a virgin, but can’t say for sure if he’s never been in love before. We’ll find out soon enough. He’s not a closed book, but if he doesn’t squeal by ep 7, I’ll go rip him from my TV set and interrogate him myself.

I didn't notice that Gene woke up with Sib's hand. And then later, his own hand is burnt and requires care. Yeah, the hand cream is pretty much about sex, but its also about their relationship as a whole and Gene's hang ups about sex and his feelings of inadequacy when he compares himself to Sib. Or something like that. For a light comedy, this show is actually quite thoughtful and rich. I hope they keep it up.

Agreed. They were meant to look like product placements. But if they were, those sponsors are on the phone demanding their money back. Having Gene clean his mouth out twice is not a coincidence of having two oral hygiene products. Something is up with that.

As disgusting as it was for me, it probably was important that Gene was having that discussion with his mom and aunt while speaking through that minty-fresh toothpaste and later Sib gave him that butterfly flower breath freshener. Don't think those were just "product placements", but an intentional bracket. Though maybe they were just referencing Up's tagline from that lip balm commercial, in which Up had a rough mouth. But there might be a reason for those acts as I don't think I've seen either in a BL before. Also possible that Gene felt his mouth was dirty after having cussed sib out at the end of the last episode. Who knows....

There is an almost identical dragon in Sib's car. I'm going to guess that when its referenced again, it will be in some breakup episode and will remind Gene of Sib. It's their first "couple" token item. We'll see. I don't think its a camera. Its just distinctive enough that we'll remember it in 5 or 6 weeks. Also, its probably important that the dragon is being hidden in Gene's closet (which is a silly place for a camera, except that Gene is figuratively "in the closet" at this stage of the series.)

In the last episode where Gene tells Tum to "find him someone" when they were talking about being the last of their friends who were single, I'm like "Dude, he already did and put him in your condo and locked you in with him. Thank him later."

That was Tam, who is Tum’s sister and boss. I’m not sure, but I get the feeling that Tum is supposed to do something that Sib won’t like. She doesn’t mention Gene, but is angry about him not handling Sib. My guess is that she’s going to want Sib to move in with Aey to create a more shippable couple.
