I made it to episode 12 then skipped to the last 3. Too bad, the story had so much potential from PA. They didn't get into our heroine's special identity at all. I didn't read the novel so don't know how it was supposed to go. Kinda disappointed in this version. The acting wasn't too bad but the script was all over the place. The ending was ridiculous with the different scenarios. Of course they couldn't have a sad ending cause everyone hates those. Calling this watched with prejudice, meaning I won't attempt the watch again. Peace everyone. ♥

If you want context on this sequel you can watch Princess Agents (PA). It's one of my favorite dramas. It's jarring to see different actors in the roles but so far so good. ♥

The Chinese historical romance drama "Sea of No Return" has just begun production on March 6, 2026, in Hengdian. Given the typical timelines for Chinese costume dramas, which often require extended post-production due to visual effects and editing, the drama is expected to premiere in late 2026 to early 2027.
