What a disappointment. I really love these two actors, but this show is so boring. There wasn't even a passionate kiss. I really have nothing against these actors, but the story didn't grab me at all—and the ending, of all things. Just awful. My favorite series are *The Maid's Revenge* and *Forever Love*—they're just brilliant in those. I don't know why things went so wrong in this series.
I watched this drama in two days. I had to go to sleep; otherwise, I would have finished it in a single day. It’s a very interesting concept. I haven’t seen anything like this before, though it reminds me a lot of the movie *Countdown*. The actors did a wonderful job.
So far this year, I haven’t seen a drama that I’ve liked as much as this one. What a wonderful couple. And what an amazing first kiss. I have to say, I wasn’t planning on watching this drama. I thought it would be just another silly, naive show. I don’t like cheesy dramas. But when I saw them kiss, I changed my mind. It was so passionate. The guy can’t take his eyes off the girl. The story isn’t the most original, but I still liked it. What I didn’t like was why they stretched it out over so many episodes. They could have shortened the last few episodes. But despite that, I really enjoyed the drama. And I’ve rewatched the kissing scenes more than once.
But I liked the drama. The couple looked really good together. They gazed at each other so tenderly. And that scene in the elevator made me scream—and it was also funny how that other guy was running. I laughed so hard. Of course, the ending is one of those “fill in the blanks” kinds of things. I don’t like that. I want things to be clear. I don’t like open endings.
I kept seeing this drama everywhere, but I couldn't bring myself to watch it. Now I understand why I waited so long. The difference between dramas from the 2000s and today is really striking.
To be honest, I didn't like the drama at all. There isn't a single likable character. The female lead acts like a sacrificial lamb. And the male lead is a real weakling and a nobody. If you love her, then do everything you can to be with her. His wife doesn't know what she wants either. The series is boring, drawn out, and uninteresting. The ending is the only thing that surprised me. I think I even saw the meaning in it. Only a true egoist would do what he did at the end.
Hate watched to the the finish after dropping at EP3 awhile back. Had to FF 90% towards the end, the ML/FL dynamic…
I agree. I stopped watching this series three times. Then I decided to force myself to watch it. I watched it on fast forward. Every time the main character smiled, I wanted to punch him and say, “What are you smiling at?” like an idiot. I didn't like him at all. The worst part is the ending. Our main female character is just stupid. She already got out of this relationship, so why get back into it again is unclear. The series is boring, and so is the love story. I don't understand why people love this series at all.
From your comment, I can see how people can persevere and take in a lot of nonsense from their partner until they…
Looking back at the person I was 4 years ago, I can see why I thought it was romantic. You're absolutely right. I was in a very abusive relationship myself. My ex-husband was an alcoholic who beat me. When I saw that movie, I always hoped for a happy ending. That she would cure him and that they would somehow be happy. But my reality hit me in the face. I left my husband because I realized that I was much stronger. And that it wasn't love. So when I watch this movie, I see both sides. I know that there are those who stay and can't run because they're broken. And then there's the other side, my side. The one where you fight for your life and only get stronger. Thank you for your honest comment.
I can understand each of the characters. The girl who killed her own father, what her mother herself could not do. She wanted love and understanding. It really is possible to fall in love at first sight. The husband actually loved his wife (mother). And what he felt for the daughter was not love, but attraction (lust). He just wanted her. Many people confuse desire with love. He loved his wife. It was that sincere love. And I feel sorry for the mother (wife) more than anyone. I thought about what I would do in her place. I’m also raising my daughter alone, and this situation is worse than anything in the world. I would have left too. But I wouldn't kill myself. I don’t know whether I would have broken all ties with my daughter or not. But I wouldn’t be able to look at her anymore. How can you do this to your own mother? This is the cruelest thing. The husband understood that this was only lust. That's why he cried after the first time. He regretted, but could not restrain his desire.
The ending shows us that passion passes and nothing remains if there is no true love. The husband still loves his dead wife. He suffers for her. And the daughter suffers from remorse, but lives on. Everyone is unhappy. 3 lives broken.
When I was just a girl, I liked this story. I watched the anime and the Korean version. But now that I’m 33 years old, I was incredibly angry. What stupidity it is to run after a guy who doesn't love you. And what is this nonsense at the end? He ignored her for so many years and then suddenly he tells her to marry him. I would punch him in the face. I would say. Are you high? He ignored me for so many years and then fell in love. Idiocy. How do films like this spoil girls' healthy brains? We begin to believe that if we run after a guy for a long time, he will fall in love with you. But that's not true. This doesn't happen in real life. Please watch movies with healthy relationship.
I just watched the movie and I liked it. How much I felt sorry for the main character. He suffered all these years without saying a word. He watched as the one he loved was with his brother. It's very difficult. When they had a night of love, after watching the film, I returned to this moment again and now I could better understand his feelings. How he tenderly kissed her, touched her, kissed her eyes, for him it was heavenly joy, he wanted nothing else, just to be with her, to love her and for her to love him. So now they will lie to each other for the rest of their lives. Perhaps they will be happy in their own little world. I think they will.
OMG what an incredibly sad movie, the abuse and bleakness will wreck your brain. It doesn't try to sugar coat…
I should have listened to you, and dont watch this movie. It's so horrible. I will not be able to forget this scenes with the stepfather. Such a bastard.
