Episodes 17 and 18? Wow. That's all I can say. In episode 17, the highlight was Xiao Wenjing's conversation with Zhang Mo's father. In episode 18, the rescue of Gu Yu and Huaian's conversation with the general. Ten more episodes, I'll miss this drama when it's over.
It's almost 100% that Huaian will die. Cheng Yi said during the fan meeting that Huaian should rest. Still, I will be sad. I liked his sister's wish for him - with the cat, in peace.
Huai'an is saying he wants to die and everything is going into that direction, but subconsciously? Bai Wan/Luo Li tells him to live when he sees her in the temple. All his friends/subordinates are telling him to live as well. Maybe his subconsciousness is listening.
Episode 13th was fire - this is what I was talking about, the story is completely unpredictable and doesn't favor Huai'an. If I wasn't already spoiled, I would be completely caught off guard. It was sad episode, but also the most impactful. I can't wait to see what happens next because, once again, Ep. 14 ends on a cliffhanger. *headdesk*
I wanted the general to kill that mother effer Wang Pu, but he missed too. Who will eventually destroy the bastard? Huaian? My heart breaks for Han Ziling.
So far I like this one a lot. For all his planning, Xie Huaian isn't all powerful, he is constantly suffering losses (original Zhang Mo, getting stabbed by his uncle...), but he is steadily chipping away at Huben army, no wonder Yan Fengshan was pissed. This one is destined for heartbreak, but here I can accept it because it makes sense.
I liked how they ended Ms Lin. A menacing presence throughout the series she was taken out but what she created - hunter in a fiend's skin. The fact that the killer was A-Luo's mother - poetic cinema. :D
They didn't have to kill all the hunters. The scene with little tablets was really sad. And I colud live without amnesia mini-arc, it felt wrong in this drama.
Although we all suspected her, Lu Jie turned out to be simply an excellent housekeeper and wing-man. :)
I'll write more when I digest everything, but overall I enjoyed the drama - flaws and all. I particularly enjoyed all the actors even in the smaller roles. A-Luo going crazy on the fiends was like taken from some revenge porn film. Stab-stab-stab, lol.
Same I have that eerie feeling about that caretaker lady I feel SMTH is wrong
I don't think she is a villain, but there is something definitely off about her. A fiend that escaped LXR influence and completely assimilated? I'm sure they'll leave us on a cliffhanger one episode in the future, lol.
I finally finished the season! I savored the last few episodes and loved it overall. I can't wait to see unused cases in January. I hope they start filming next season soon - the Princess is going to stir some s... I already feel sorry for all our heroes, especially Liu Lingfeng.

I absolutely feel you.

But, we got some very sweet moments and some revelations. I guess we'll have to wait for more.
I noticed that broken heart for episode 29 on the schedule. I am mentally preparing. ;)
