My Engineer did that with Bohn and Duen.
It's a fun and cute series who doesn't take itself seriously. It's simple but good because it made fun of and subverted some BL tropes. Many people didn't like the main couple childish relationship, they prefered the second couple. To each his own.

Still looking for the romance in XS&YJ relationship... Anyone seen it ? Still looking for the characters development... Close To You had 20 episodes but this show is weaker than the other HiStory series. What a shame.

I almost stopped watching. A few are fine and can be funny, but this was to the point of laziness or lack of faith…
I had to mute because I was going crazy. I really hope it'll be tone down in the next episodes.

After Ingredients the series I can totally see Gameplay as the chef and Jeff as the delivery guy :-)

Why the f is this rating just 8.3? I mean it deserves like at least 9.5... P.S. The other .5 is taken out cause…
Yeah it definitely deserves 9. Minus 1 point because the directing is amateurish.

Someone said in the novel Earth's character is gay. Hope they'll not change that.

I'm underwhelmed by this. Most of the actors lack charisma and come across like they are just there for the paycheck.…
I could have wrote this! But english isn't my first language so I was lazy :-)
Tul is quite a disappointment here. I thought after TWM he would have improved his acting. Max is doing better although he doesn't have much to do. I'm waiting for more challenging scenes to see how he'll fare.
I was really excited for MOD but after episode 4 I lost interest. I wasn't expecting kdrama level of intensity but the pacing just isn't right for this kind of drama.

I don't really care about the BL. I wanted Kim to wake up so we could have his pov, either in Pan's body or in his own body halfway into the series. I wanted him to fix his relationship with Khet, I wanted him to learn some life lessons thanks to this experience. And a confession to Way would have been the icing on the cake. Well, I wanted him to be a real character and not some plot device used to propel Pan's story and bring BL fans in...

What a disaster. They dragged the bodyswap too long. Even if Kim's not dead, There's only one episode, how are they going to wake him up and have him confess to Way? Kim needed to have his episodes, we wanted his pov, either in Pan's body or in his own. I smelled bs from the beginning.

Facts! This is absolutely not a BL. And after watching episode 11 I'll even say we were baited since the beginning... People loving it aren't into it for the BL aspect. They mainly like the actors and the comedy.

On The Fiery Priest Jul 22, 2020
With SK ratings and the great reviews on MDL I thought this drama would be wonderful but I'm disappointed. I'm at episode 12 and nothing much happened. For about 8 episodes the priest kept going circle with his attempt to prove the Father's death wasn't suicide. He quickly understood who are the bad guys (prosecutor office, police chief etc) but he kept going to them expecting what? He kept going on tantrum because things didn't go as he thought. Like, he's a ex-military but doesn't think clearly and keeps failing.
Characters development is so slow it's frustrating. The cop finally grew a pair at episode 10 but the prosecutor is as bas as the vilains. I don't get why she's portrayed in a funny way, like we're supposed to like her.
Finally, the comedy isn't funny any more especially when it's bad timed. I mean, they talk about very serious matters and right after that they had a bickering scene with the priest and the prosecutor. It doesn't flow well. I'd rather have less comedy and more smart action.
I'm gonna drop it, I'm not interested anymore.

Much ado about nothing. This was nice but not great. Overrated drama. Apart from being a SK production, what's so special about this BL?
- The acting? Yes the actors were good especially KG (he emoted better than his co-star) but many BL have good actors (Gun, Singto, Fandy...)
- The filming and direction? Yes, it was good. Nothing to complain about. Other BL also have good cinematography (Crossing The Lines, The Untamed...).
- The plot? Nope, it was not exciting nor mysterious. All the boxes were ticked: bestfriends to lovers + rich male lead (seems mandatory in Kdrama) + homophobic dad + girl used as a prop + impossible love... Nothing new.
We barely delved into the characters: we know nothing about them except they've been together for a while and they secretly like each other. What else? What is KG's background? Since when is he HTJ bodyguard? What is HTJ family life? And KG's for that matter? What are their desires and ambitions? Hobbies? Flaws?
Don't tell me they couldn't explore all this because of the episodes duration. Who told them to make this format? Wouldn't it have been better to have less episodes with a longer duration in order to set the backstory and show more about their personalities ?
Imo the format isn't really the issue since other short dramas like Long Time No See and The Boy Next Door have a better narrative than WYEL.

I admit WYEL has qualities but I needed more to love it. I wasn't invested in it. So I'm wondering: once removing the fact it's a SK BL, what's so great about it people critize other countries BL and declare WYEL the best bl of all time?! Come on, let's be rational. You can love a series without bashing other ones.

Title Why R U?
I'm not someone who takes break from a show while watching....but it took me some time to finish this one. Why…
I couldn't agree more! I could have written this. Sad to see many BL fans are easily swayed by sex scenes, to the point of overlooking bad writing and directing. I love sex scenes and skinship but above all I need good writing and characters development. They even use covid as an excuse even though we could see the choppy writing from the start, way before covid impacted the filming.
Everything about FigherTutor was forced. It felt like the writers wanted to compete with daring BLs such as TharnType and Together With Me for the "Most Sexy BL" award. IMO, they only win the trashy award.
Thankfully SaifahZon kept me interested. Their dynamic was great: an unproblematic and supportive seme, a cute friendship developing into a beautiful relationship. Rarely did I see such a healthy couple in BL. I've heard TommyJimmy will have a mini series in 2021. I can't wait.

Nice drama even though I don't find it that great. It was lenghty and repetitive. Fresh on some aspects (Yong Shik's personality, characters subrverting tropes in hilarious ways...) but still lot of overused tropes (Dong Beak's mother return, Dong Beak's mother illness, Yonh Shik and Dong Beak mothers meeting in the past...).
Unfortunately my enjoyment was decreased by the perpetual "a mother isn't a woman anymore" narrative that plagues every drama about a single mother. I've been watching kdrama for almost 20 years and I'm sad to see nothing much has changed on this subject. In korean drama, once you're a single mother you shouldn't love again and want to marry again. Your life should only be dedicated to raising your child, because aparently korean men can't love and raise another man child... And if you're daring enough to want some romance in your life, your kid and your future in-laws must approve it beforehand because of course you aren't adult enough and responsible enough to manage your life as you please...
We're in 2020, I can't deal with this old-fashioned view anymore.
