I watched this before The Untamed and absolutely loved it. Now I've watched Untamed aswell, I definitely prefer…
I want to read the novel but I'm afraid of being disappointed since I love the series so much. Some people said the novel characters are quite different from the series, and not in a good way. Don't know what to do :-)
I read Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation before watching The Untamed. I adore the novel but I couldn't finish the series. I was constantly comparing.

Thank you! I haven't watched yet and now I know not to make that a priority. I hate how evil people get away with…
To My Star is such a delight! It is not without flaws but I feel they put effort into it. That's why despite the short length they managed to give us characters with depth and a simple but well executed plot. TMS is one of my favorite comfort series (Skam OG season 3 being my n°1).

The purpose of the scheme was that Laura wanted Jung Woo to learn the recipes before she fired Do Gun, which makes…
Hum, yeah it make sense but it's still a stupid plot : she should have hired JW as DG's assistant so he could learn the recipes and then fired DG. There was no need to bully DG and create competition between the MCs.

Tasty Florida was bad but still better than My Sweet Dear imho.

I couldn't stand them! One of the worst secondary couple I've ever seen. Can't believe they couldn't find other guys who could ACT...

Title Bite Me
I'm sad for Mark and Zung because they sure can act (I love Zung's acting!) but the screenwriter and the director failed them. Such a waste of potential is criminal. I don't understand how some people are defending the director's choices. Slow pacing is good, long staring contests are ok if the actors have chemistry, introvert character isn't a problem and shy and tentative romance is cute. All that wasn't the issue with Bite Me. If done reasonably nobody would complain. Unfortunately, the director didn't know how to balance all the ingredients : the characters were so introvert they took hours to speak, the cinematography was pretty but gave the feeling of watching food documentaries and commercials, and there were too many scenes that didn't move the plot forward.
But the worst was the lack of a good plot! Bite Me is a great exemple of "style over substance" drama...

5/10 is generous. I gave 3 for the acting lol.

What a fail! This series doesn't make sense.
- No characters development. Apart from working in a restaurant we know nothing about Do Gun and Jung Woo.
- No logic or motivation for their actions : what's the point of Laura's scheme ? She could just fire Do Gun anytime and nobody would say anything. There's really no need for this. Why is Jung Woo helping her and lying about his background ? Why is Do Gun taking part in Laura's dumb scheme even after knowing the competition is rigged ? He's a 1 michelin star chef, he could find work anywhere or he could open his own restaurant.
- I'm puzzled by the message they were trying to convey (if there's any...). Laura's plot goes through without DG or JW exposing her. DG forgives JW way too easily. At the end I was like " so...all that for what ?". What I get from My Sweet Dear is that if you're a boss you can bully and disrespect your employee for no reason. Also don't worry you can lie and scheme against your lover without consequence, they will forgive you within 2 days.
- Still looking for the chemistry... I didn't feel the love. We didn't get to know them, we didn't see them together long enough for me to be upset when the truth was revealed. I just didn't care.

Tbh I feel like korean bls are put on a pedestal because of Kdramas renown but in terms of BL this isn't it. I understand they're new to it but I don't feel they put heart into it. They favor style (pretty faces, cinematography and cool background music) over substance (characterization and good plot). Light On Me and To My Star are the only series that stand out for me.

While it's good for us BL addicts SK is churning out BLs I really hope they'll upgrade the writing and consider changing drama length (something like 8 x 30 min would be enough).

I gave up after 3 attempts to finish the first 2 episodes. The drama doesn't know what it wants to be and the directing is all over the place trying to be deep, poetic and mysterious.

The plot doesn't make sense, the chemistry isn't there and the whole thing feels like watching summer music videos.

Disappointed with the ending. The separation trope is so useless and overdone in Kdrama. We didn't get any satisfaction once they're a couple.

UWMA is his work
I know and I didn't like it. Didn't care for My Gear And Your Gown, LBC2 and his other works. I don't feel them and I believe he doesn't improve with time. But hey, it's just my opinion.

I'm stuck at episode 1. The directing is so 90's majang drama with over the top situations, my eyes were alreay rolling around. I like fiction but I need characters to act smart and situations to be realistic. In what world does a guy ask a girl he just met to marry him ?! And she accepts ?! I'll pass.

Tue & Ake : meh. Not awful but nothing interesting.
Sun & Nua : average story but good acting and great chemistry. I really want Max & Nat to have their own series.
Mon & Team : awful story, bad acting, cringe fest. The story is a bad mix of taiwanese movie Formula 17 and every 80s-90s romantic comedies.
Not sure I'll watch the other couples. I can't deal with mediocrity.
When will producers get that we like handsome guys but we need good storylines and good directing ?!
