So disappointing. First episode was good and interesting, so I went to wattpad and read the novel. I loved it. It's basic but Nuea and Praram couple is so cute it's cringy. Unfortunately their story can't be told in 3 episodes! The whole point of it is Nuea courting Praram for months and the building UST. From the start this project was doomed.
This series is already giving me a headache: how are we supposed to ship OhmFirst if they're brothers?! Even if Ohm quickly discovers that First is in fact PrigKhing and starts falling for her, it would still be awkward since she's in his brother's body!! That's being said, I'm falling for Ohm. The guy is getting more handsome everyday and he's so good at acting. He really improved since MIR where I didn't like him (he was trying to hard, it wasn't natural).
I'm one of those people who don't find The Untamed exceptional. Is it because I read the novel before watching the drama? Imo, MDZS is a masterpiece. I can't stop thinking about it months after reading it. I love everything about it. So I think I had too much expectation, especially after seeing all the hype the series get. Don't get me wrong, the drama is good (and the acting is on point). But I'm not loving it as much as I wanted to.
The series absolutely deserves what they have now and more, if you don’t like it just don’t like, but the…
How giving my opinion on a series is disrespecting fans? Don't make me laugh. Fans aren't producers nor actors involved in the series making so I don't care about their feelings.
What a mess. Don't even know how this series can have such a high ranking when one main lead couple arc story couldn't be completed, and secondary characters were useless at the end. We all know it supposedly due to Covid but shouldn't we judge the final product? If we remove FighterTutor hot scenes, does the series deserve 8.4?
The first main role is Tutor, but why does Zon leading the story and get more scenes at the same time?! I fail…
Tutor isn't the main lead. They had the great idea (*sarcasm) to mash up 2 stories in one: SaifahZon has their own novel, and so does FighterTutor. They kept the plot in which Zon is narrating his weird story (he discovers he's in his sister's novel) but they had FighterTutor arc story. So SaifahZon and FighterTutor are the main lead couples.
Lol well Duen has been like this since the beginning. I think it's because he's innocent when it comes to romance…
Exactly. I couldn't have said it better. They're too used to romance with quick development and skinship such as TTTS and TWM (which I love, no shade) and forgot about more realistic depiction of a relationship. I love when writers stay true to the characters' personalities to further the storyline instead of following the usual path taken by too many BL series. Duen has been depicted as a shy, innocent and conventional guy. Imagine if just at episode 5 he was kissing and sleeping with Bohn because fans were expecting it! Nah, I'll continue to prefer consistent writing and good character development.
Lol well Duen has been like this since the beginning. I think it's because he's innocent when it comes to romance…
Don't think in terms of episodes. We're in episode 11 but in the series timeline BohnDuen have been together not even a month. Do you expect someone to change in such a short time? Someone with Duen personality? Not everyone can kiss and do skinship at this early stage in a relationship. Not when it's their first relationship.
First time I see so much dislike for the main couple. As for me, I'm loving BohnDuen and I'm tired of people complaining about them. Yes, Bohn is hot-headed and too jealous, yes Duen is acting like a shy virgin but so what? These kind of people do exist in real life. Who wants to watch a series with flawless characters? What's wrong with them taking it slow to know each other? They've been together for 1 month. With this in mind, Duen being shy and not wanting to kiss Bohn isn't weird or unrealistic. Also, isn't it double standard to expect Duen to quickly accept Bohn's advances? If Duen were a woman, would people complain this much? While BohnDuen act childish and cute, I love their story because: - Bohn has finally met someone that stand up to him. He's a brat who usual gets what he wants but this time he has to learn to be patient and understanding of Duen. - Duen is super cute and likes to please people but he's no pushover. He's assertive and pragmatic. His "let's wait a year before talking about moving together" was great! *looking pointedly at Tine* - despite having opposite personalities, we're seeing them getting to know each other and trying to find a middle ground in their relationship - they wisely discussed the infamous top/bottom topic that unfortunately rarely comes up in other BL (and when it does come up, it's for laughs) - the fact I'm not even bother by the lack of skinship really proves how well these characters are written. They're cute together, I can see they've feelings for each other and they make me laugh. It's enough for me.
I can uderstand fans preferring a pairing over another one but I don't get the BohnDuen bashing that's been going on lately. It's like it's in fashion to overly criticize them and overly praise KingRam. To the point some people even wonder why BohnDuen are the main couple! Come on. While I like KingRam, their storyline isn't better than BohnDuen's imho. Each pairing has a good story with interesting characters, and that's the strenght of My Engineer.
Not only that but Tharn never acknowledges that what he did to Type was wrong (and he and the shiw conventiently…
You might have missed it but Tharn acknowledged what he did was wrong when he talked to others characters (when trying to apologize for Type's behavior). Though he didn't say it to Type, which is a shame, I was waiting for it.
What are you talking about?! There is no rape: Tharn kissed Type while he was sleeping and left him hickeys as a prank (there's no ill intent though he obviously shouldn't have done it). That's sexual assault, but definitely not rape.
Honestly I'm kind of scared to watch this. From what I saw there seems to be some kind of sexual assault or almost…
There is no rape: one lead kisses the other while he's sleeping and leaves hickeys as a prank (there's no ill intent though he obviously shouldn't have done it). It is not glamorized and the character acknowledges his bad action later on. Also, the other lead as anger managment and sometimes lash out. To be honest, the relationship is toxic at first but it's interesting to see the characters development and how their love progresses. This series is unique and interesting because the characters are flawed (it's not your typical BL story). Give it a try, you might love it.
2gether being a PG13 series isn't an acceptable excuse. Holding hands, hugging or cuddling your lover isn't PG18 stuff. You can see it in many series, gay or straight. Even high school characters do it timidly in series like Love Sick, Make It Right, Thanks God It's Friday etc. The production should have worked around the rating to narrate a believable LOVE story. While we can do without kiss and sex scenes, we need to see affection and some amount of desire between lovers. There are many ways to convey that easily: sitting next to each other and touching shoulder or tight, kissing on the forehead etc. If GMMtv can't handle showing affection and intimacy, they should have drawn out the "will they won't they" stage and have them confess at the end, like Sotus for example. The narrative presents two adults guys entering a love relationship but the guys don't convey romantic feelings: they say they like each other, they publicly confess, they now live together, sleep in the same bed but don't touch except for some pats on the head. Seriously? Also, it's quite inconsistent with Sarawat wanting to touch Tine's breast a couple episodes before. Anyway, my point is: good for you if you're content with what we got so far (to each their own) but don't use the PG13 rating to excuse the unsatisfying depiction of WatTine's romance.
Whew... Just finished it... I had to fast-forward the TutorxFighter scenes.... They became annoying and cringey…
Same, I can't with Saint. Unlike everyone else I don't think he improved since LBC. His acting is forced, you can hear him thinking, "for this part I need to be angry, I'll just frown my eyebrows and pout"... TutorFighter chemistry/intensity was so forced it was embarrassing. Plus, their romance was cliché and developed too quickly.
