the girl was actually 13 years old and the boy was just about entering college. so 5 years age gap actually makes sense. the only thing that makes it weird is they should cast the boy with younger version not the actual cast. I think that would be better.
BUT, you should keep watching it tho. the plot is getting more interesting when the girl finally getting into univ and meeting back with the boy. the plot is indeed tricky but they actually make it good so this drama is not actually that you think about :)
