The excitement that NEVER STOPS!!

For someone who have never read the webtoon, I just gonna say: this drama is more than just amazing! It took me less than 3 days to finish the whole series simply because I just couldn't stop watching!!!!

From casting, to plots, to action scenes, and production, this drama is a perfection! There isn't any dull moment throughout the series and it's like a thrilling ride! So if you haven't watch it, you should go ahead and enjoy the ride, it will end before you even noticed! As there are a lot of shows with a pretty good start and went down the trail in the second half, but for this one, nope! It gets higher and higher that gives you a lot of anticipation till the end!

You could say it is a comedy, a thriller, a mystery, a fantasy, or an action drama, because it has all the genres in it!

If you are skeptical and worried of horror scenes, I can assure you it's not that scary, I don't fancy horror dramas too but this is perfectly fine for me! But do expect some tense up whenever you see the evil ghosts in action, but trust me, that excitement is just the thing that keeps you going! XD

I really adore the counter squad SO MUCH! Although they weren't related to each other and share different personality, when they come together, they became a bunch of sweethearts that make you smile :) Plus, their acting are really ON POINT that gets you into it! Action scenes or crying scenes, you name it! Never underestimate those young actor and actress; Byung Gyu and Se Jeong totally slayed it!

I would say they had a pretty good production too, literally nothing to pick on! Besides the action scenes, I really love how the male lead was summoning out the Territory, those colour effects!!! Gosh so heroic and I love it!!!!

Well since I couldn't name anything that I don't like about the show, it gives an absolute 10/10! Or maybe one bad thing of this drama is that "It ends"!!! I heard they are having a Season 2 and I can't wait for it! Definitely one of the best dramas I have seen in the past year!!! Highly recommend :)

Big Applaud to Female Lead and the Fascinating Plots!

Haven't been watching Korean historical drama for quite a while, or maybe I would say even if I watch, there isn't any that keeps me fascinated throughout the series; but this one, YES YES! One of the best historical drama I've watched over the past few years!

In the past, K-dramas are pretty successful in pushing out long series drama such as Queen SeonDeok, Jumong, Dae Jang Geum etc., however I realised these days, some people (Not All) tend to lose interest when the historical drama became intense and dark; short comedy historical drama on the other hand attracts people more, like 100 Days My Prince, The Tale of Nokdu etc. Not complaining because I love it!

I enjoyed how this drama has an equivalent amount on the intense and hilarious scenes. Just when things gotten serious, they insert plots that make you giggle, have the main story going on while keeping you entertained from time to time! But what's special about this drama was probably the interesting characteristic of two main leads; the King looks like a baddie from the outside but inside being allured by the bold Queen despite her wild and inappropriate actions, how he always thought the Queen was playing "hard to get" when she is actually dealing with her "hormone dilemma" XD!!! The plots were always so random but their chemistry had made the series even greater! So fun to watch!

I was also impressed by how Shin Hye Sun pulled off this role again and again in every episode, how she tweaked between acting as a male and female. Just when I thought her acting has achieved to a certain level, she then exceeded my expectation again, just no limit to how good she could be. TBH, among all the actresses who I've seen trying to act as guy, she got the best portrayal! The way she sits, she walks, even the detailed expression on how she reacts, just so natural that I never had a second to not believe it's really a male trapped in a woman's body! (Plus point on her height too)

Mr Queen has a pretty solid story for a 20-episode drama, and I really enjoy drama that has a good plot arrangement, not just good in the start and boring in the second half. For the ending, I would say the team did a pretty good job in creating a perfect ending for it, you know for time travel genre, you can never expect a perfect ending as there were always two voices; which one would prefer the main leads to stay together in the same era and the other voice will be siding towards having them to go back to their own world. It might be pretty sensitive for this drama too, especially the female lead is actually a male, if they were to touch based on the excessive bromance, it might be an issue for them too. So more like treating this as an interesting journey where both of them grown from the experience and wishing the best for each other in their own world. Shouldn't be complaining.

Overall, worth being given a high rating and great production with well-chosen casts!

Honestly It's NOT THAT BAD

People tend to read a lot of reviews and had a lot of judgement even before watching a show. But honestly this show is pretty good. Not to 10/10 kind of good but definitely deserve at least an 8/10.

To be honest, I got affected a little by knowing they had a lot of controversies after airing the first two episodes which I think it's pretty sad for them to have such an unlucky start because honestly it deserves a better rating.

For those who were saying that JCW doesn't shine in this show, it's pretty wrong. I personally think he doesn't have the need to receive cool hero roles like Healer, Baek Dong Soo or K2 in order to shine; which he really shows his good acting here as well, alongside with Kim Yoo Jung. I'm always very impressed how she captures a lot of details while acting, every expression of hers are telling a story, honestly one of the actress who presented very natural and good acting skills despite being young.

Let's talk about story, simple yet entertaining. It gives you a great laugh time to time. It might not have a big WOW storyline but it was better than a normal story too. For those who think it is super boring, trust me, there are much more worse ones out there. But standing in an objective perspective, if you hardly know any of them or don't like the casts, you might not be able to watch to the end. Because I love the two main casts and I was waiting for the couple to get together so as long as there's a reason to watch then it's worth watching! The two main leads are pretty cute, and when both of them smiled together, the visuals just exploded hahaha! I believe the kiss scenes were being cut because of the controvery, that's a shame. That's why I think this drama is basically just unlucky but it's not bad!

Side note: I really enjoyed The Fiery Priest characters coming out here and there, so for those who haven't watch it you must be wondering who are those people, you have to watch that too as it is the same director!
No wonder I've been sensing a strong "fiery priest comedy" from the very first episode😂

Wasted Potential

A good story and captivating start but developed to be an "excessive" tearjerker, TBH it could have been a big hit (Facepalm).

But it didn't.

Why it could have been a big hit?
It got a generally-likeable fantasy genre, a mysterious yet charming immortal male lead, an A-class casting lineup, a great couple chemistry and mostly, a fascinating storyline (in the start).

But why it didn't became one?
Poor arrangement on plots, less impressive production, a let-down on the mysterious characters development, dull climax and mostly, too much unnecessary parting and whining (from the girl who is facing death).

I really enjoyed the start where the female lead signed a contract with "Myeol Mang" (sort of like a destroyer) and thereafter started their ill-fated relationship. I was actually pretty excited when the female lead swore that she was going to make "Myeol Mang" her love of life so he can die for her, so "Korean drama cliche" but I just love it. Of course we all know they will eventually fall in love but "How?" is something we anticipate. Well, it turned out they fell in love before I even noticed, and oddly started with all the emotional parting (again and again) and accepted their fate (again and again). The flow was a bit off for me as I didn't feel their deep-down love and suddenly they are willing to give up their lives for each other, like huh? I don't deny they look pretty good together, but the story development was quite lacking though.

At first, I felt the story was a little complicated, especially the conversation between "Myeol Mang" and the "Deity girl", so I thought they were somehow building up for the climax, hmmm it turns out to be.... nothing. When you are always waiting for something unexpected, it failed your expectation. It's like you are eating a candy floss, the first bite was so great but before you can savour it, it's gone. Yes, the second half of the drama was an empty-shell. There was so much potential in the "Deity girl" character, but she didn't really contribute anything significant to the show and it turns out like destiny has controlled her instead, she gave up and become a Samaritan for the couple LOL

Honestly, it could have been better if they have more plots on how they developed feelings (maybe on how their hate turns into love) instead of just using almost 10 episodes to cry, to escape and to get back together. As for second couple, a so-so to me too, as their love-triangle was pretty draggy too, however I find Cha Joo Ik's role pretty interesting, especially how he uses his poker face for love confession, sarcasm, even when cracking a joke LOL.

Basically, I stayed on to the end mainly for the casts, simply enjoying Seo In Guk's alluring smirk, Park Bo Young's adorable expression and Lee Soo Hyuk's attractive deep voice. That's about it. Wasn't that excited for the storyline as you will be able to figure out the ending on your own by looking at the pace of the story and how it develops, it's like even if you missed out a few episodes you will be able to catch up haha.

These are just my point of view, and I believe people might have different thoughts on the drama, saw the comment area is just flooded with criticism. I don't regretted watching it though, that's why it deserves at least 7.0 for me, a "slightly above-average" piece? Just that we have so much dramas out there to compare with and it just loses out, but not so bad actually, or maybe because I have seen worse.

Most underrated drama series! If you love deity kind of fantasy drama you must watch!

Similar to the two Three Lives Three World series (Ten Miles of Peach Blossom & Love of Dream), this show has a fantasy background (talking about deity). The story probably similar to Eternal Love of Dream (an older god with a young god) but the production is very similar to Eternal Love! Which if you simply enjoy these two you will enjoy this too!

Due to its similarity, people will tend to compare these few, but I personally think it is almost as good as both of them. People tend to pinpoint on the male lead's appearance but honestly he is the perfect fit for the role, his acting skills has proven himself being the best actor for this character. Also with the female lead, regardless of being so much younger (as compared to male lead), her crying scenes were so on point that makes the viewers heart broken. I LOVE the main actor and actress, they were sooooooo good!

Some things I love about the show: The couple's chemistry and the love story :) An old guy who never feel love before and a girl who was always expressing her puppy love to win his heart. The two main leads was protecting each other from the start to the end (even when they hardly know each other), then they fall in love, grow stronger and fighting their ways to be together. You will laugh with them, cry with them and cringe so much (in a good way) whenever they were saying their devoted lines! But the two of them were just so cute that you don't mind watching them being lovey dovey at all times. Side couples were very pretty hilarious too that even though the show was sad, you will have a great laugh from time to time.

If I were to pick on something for this show, it might be some parts where the logic wasn't that clear, and the ending is a bit rush, without proper explanation. Oh and I personally don't quite like having too much of the "mortal life", it became a bit draggy, because I personally enjoy watching them as deity instead of a mortal; or maybe I just don't like watching the female lead with the second guy, that's all haha!

But other than that, this show was REALLY GOOD, one of the best Chinese drama I've ever watched, very worth watching! I'm glad that I watched it and I will miss it a lot!!! :)

Surprisingly ADDICTIVE!

I wouldn't say everyone will like this kind of drama, but I LOVE IT.

It's not the usual korean drama that comes with a cheerful starting, couple fall in love and followed with the story climax. Some people might not like the "psycho" theme drama because of the dark and depressing content, but I find it pretty addictive of its UNUSUAL setting of characters, story presentation and the chemistry between the main leads! As the female lead is a fairytale story writer, the show uses a "fairytale story telling" method to bring out some principles of life that touches the bottom of your heart, which I find it very special!

You will FALL IN LOVE with the two main leads, because they are not the usual main leads you will find in other dramas. The girl is cold on the outside but warm in the inside whilst the male lead is other way round. They both had some bad memories that shaped their behaviours; they hurt each other, but they protect each other as well :) So I would say their interaction and chemistry are the highlight of the show!!!! Not to mention, the three main leads (including the brother) acting is SUPERB! The brotherhood among the two male leads is very touching too and it will make you cry T^T

For those who are a scaredy-cat, be aware that there are some horror scenes too. Well, it doesn't really have physical ghost in the show (in case you are wondering), but because the main female lead had some dark memories, so she will have bad dreams and having sleep paralysis.

Although there were some parts not being well explained, I think you shouldn't be too serious about it and enjoy the scenes and stories this drama has brought to us. It brings joy, intense, sadness and also heart-warming relationships that makes you smile :) I love all the main and side roles and also their sweet and nice characters, the entire casting was pretty pleasing and I enjoyed watching it a lot!

Another good piece from Author Kim!

Reviews gotten me skeptical but it surpasses my expectation.

Author Kim is very well-known in writing different kinds of genre and this drama is like a combination of Goblin + Mr Sunshine where it has a little of the fantasy element with some foreign affairs politics. However, as this is the first drama over the past few years that wasn't produced Director Lee Eung Bok, the production wasn't that fantastic, but still okay.

For those who enjoyed fantasy, this will most likely be your cup of tea. However, do note that this is slightly more complicated than the other fantasy as it involves time travel, universe travel and space-time gap but I personally think that these have made the drama even more special! As someone who enjoy fairytale, I love how they created the monarch world and also where the king was riding on his white horse! Pure imagination!

A big applaud for the cast as well for portraying more than one role in the drama and slayed it! My favourite goes to Eun-seob and Jo Yeong!!!!!! He is so charming and cute at the same time in his totally different-character roles and really deserve much love omgggg!

Overall, I love it! Giving it a 9.0/10.0 as 1 mark goes to the excessive product placement that is out of nowhere. I don't really enjoy product placement in the drama, especially when they even designed their lines to promote the product, it gives me a C-drama vibes which I don't really fancy it. And this drama has really too much of it, it sort of ruin the whole atmosphere build up for this drama. Other than that, all good! :)

Low Budget Xianxia Drama

To be honest, it didn't start off pretty badly, the front part was pretty similar to Eternal Love, where the mortal FL mistaken ML as an injured snake (instead of Dragon) and brought him back to take care of him. I was quite captivated at first and enjoyed watching how the Dragon is falling for the FL. Although their interaction was a bit childish and the lines are somehow cringey, it's still considered pretty entertaining to watch.

UNTIL they entered the second life, third then the fourth; the drama basically being split into four parts and repeat again and again with different settings (as the main girl reborn as different characters) where the ML protected her over and over. I felt the story was so repetitive and disconnected (especially FL needs to forget about the ML whenever she starts a new life) so I started losing interest on the main couple and can't help to move my focus to the second couple instead. They were both immortal with a master-servant relationship but their bickering was quite interesting and the protective second ML was surprisingly quite cool and charming that draws me in!

Acting wise, besides the second male lead being natural in his role, the rest were kinda ... (face palm). ML's role was supposed to very sorrowful as he needed to watch FL living lives without him whilst guarding her with his life but I don't think he portrays the "devastation" and "devoted" very well. FL's acting was okay but she doesn't really look innocent to act the innocent roles, not sure if it's because I watched her wicked-role acting in Eternal Love and has somehow shaped my impression on her, well... but I don't deny that she's pretty though! As for the second FL - Qing Qing, although I prefer the second couple, I couldn't really stand her acting as she exaggerated almost every expression, overturning the definition of "naive and mischievous" and acted like an immature 10-year-old kid that makes me cringe a little. Maybe some might find her pretty cute, yes she is - if she is not acting as an adult, otherwise it just looks a bit off for me, that's why in some ways I find this drama is more suited for younger age group.

Considered it a low-budget production, it still deserve a 7.5/10.0 as I didn't end up dropping it and was actually okay to watch, as long as you don't take the plots too seriously. I personally enjoyed Xianxia Drama A LOT so I didn't regret watching this and I don't think we should compare this with other big production and raise our standards. As a standalone, I would say it was not so good but not too bad either, basically "so-so": A decent storyline with good looking casts, the magical effects were not bad too, just a bit lacking in acting and detailed plots. Sad scenes weren't that on point and not so much on the couple's chemistry but you can simply watch it for some light-hearted moments and a simple fantasy drama, each episode is quite short too so technically it's not so difficult to finish it haha!

Story was not bad, but lack of couple chemistry I guess?

The whole vibe of the story is a bit like vampire/dracula as the main character travels fast, strong and have some sort of power. But I really fancy this kind of story so it is definitely a go-go for me no matter what the rating was.

To summarise what I like and dislike about the show for people who are contemplating whether you should go ahead watching!

Things I liked about the drama:
- Handsome male leads with charming characteristics, I meant both Lee Dong Wook and Kim Beom! (Extremely hopeless 2nd lead syndrome here, Kim Beom SO COOL AND CUTE HERE!!!!)
- Unusual warm-hearted brotherhood
- Exciting fighting scenes with effects (More in the first half of the drama)
- Genre (if you enjoyed fantasy you will like this drama)
- Cute second fox couple too (I prefer them than the main ones)

Things I disliked about the drama:
- Female lead (Honestly she had a pretty good acting but I don't know why I felt she is not so suitable for this role)
- Chemistry between the couple (LDW had a pretty good chemistry with Yoo Inna in previous show but not this one), I don't feel the love between the two hence unable to feel the sadness when they broke apart, which it is actually a huge part in this show.
- Although it is a HE, but some parts of the ending are quite speechless and not well explained. Personally I think they should have just cut short the lovey dovey scenes for the couple and do more explanations on the ending (Please don't read below if you do not want spoiler)
***SPOILER***
I don't understand why they made it so deliberately to kill the 2nd male lead just to save the male lead (when all the bad things have already settled down and back to a peaceful life, yet adding in such scene just because 2nd lead is alive). I understand how they wanted to bring out the brotherhood between the two but it was so unfair that they can sacrifice 2nd male lead life but not the male lead ones, duh. So who is the hero here anyway? Also, no explanation on how male lead return, what happened to him and why he became a fox etc.

Lastly, one word to conclude my review: Overall a nice piece and good story that is worth watching but I don't enjoy the couple that much!

The Couple is Everything!

For those who will watch this, you are probably one of the big fans of this long-running screen couple, like me!!! YES, I can never get enough with this couple and even if they continue to show until Season 4,5,6,7 I will still watch it as long as it's the two of them starring!

Unbeatable amount of kiss scenes, from sweet kiss, sad kiss, passionate kiss or even a small peck, they had the best chemistry! I even think they probably kiss more than kissing their real-life partners (?) Giving that they have worked together for 4 dramas. Well, not complaining because I LOVE IT! Unlike some other Chinese dramas that blurred out kiss scenes or even fake kissing, this couple went all out, salute the couple for their professionalism!!! It surprises me when they even included kiss scenes not for romance, there was a scene where they kiss just to test the spell (like wow!), but the way they showing it, it was so natural and pleasing, not cringey at all!

Story wise, at first I thought it was a standalone story, but apparently in the second half, it somehow relates back to some plots from the previous seasons. As for me, I kinda forget about the story so I went to do some read-up and managed to recall on it before continue watching (But do take note while doing your read-ups as you might accidentally caught some spoilers haha). I would say this is almost about the same standard as the 1st and 2nd season, entertaining but not special... especially when Romance of Tiger and Rose has first started with "Women ranking higher than men" kind of setting already, also some repetitive cliche plots like the previous season (amnesia, doppelganger, time travel, diplomatic marriage). But as I mentioned earlier, because I enjoyed watching the couple so I don't mind watching it too. But I personally prefer Season 2 the most, mainly because it has the modern era of the couple and I enjoyed that version of Mo Lian Cheng the most.

Acting, I find the casts' acting have improved. Not the best but is getting better, I personally find Xing Zhao Lin being one of the best among the team. Although he is one of the youngest casts but he captured a lot of detailed expression with his "small eyes" (HAHAHA) and played a matured role real well, didn't notice the age gap at all! Same goes to the new cast - Allen Fang that joined the team, although his role wasn't that favourable (kinda pathetic) but I'm impressed how he can be so serious and sorrowful in such a comedy drama, have to acknowledge his well acting though!

I hope I can see Xing Zhao Lin and Liang Jie on-screen again, again and again! No matter in this series or others, as long as they are acting as a couple in a drama, I'll take it!!!

Only watch it for Leo Luo

I was quite skeptical whether to start watching as the reviews weren't that good. But from the trailer it looks like Leo Luo was pretty charming so I decided to go ahead.

The overall series was just normal, sufficient amount of fighting scenes and romantic scenes, but nothing big to entice people to love the series. Shang Guan Tou was a pretty charming character from the start to the end, he was beautiful, smart, protective and gentle which gives you no reason to not love him. HOWEVER, on the other hand, the female lead was a totally opposite character. Not one of but the WORST female lead character I've ever met in all C-dramas. She supposed to be skillful as she learnt the powerful Kungfu, supposed to be brave and smart as she was the clan leader, but instead she was dumb, weak, useless, immature, dependent, cry baby and acts rashly. I understand that male lead are always the heroic ones to save the female lead, was this female lead is just TOO WEAK. The male lead was always injured because of the girl but instead he is always the one to save the female lead from baddies when she is actually more skillful in terms of Kungfu, like WHAT? It is so not realistic. Also, when the male lead saves her for so many times, she chose to left him with some absurd misunderstanding, so I personally felt the love story is just so frustrating and I disliked it a lot.

In conclusion, story was okay but female lead character was extremely unfavourable. Not recommended but you can consider if you enjoy watching Leo Luo.

Pure satisfaction!!

It took me a while to savor the gist of this drama as the first few episodes were a bit complicated and boring for me, but as I continue watching, the plot just got better and better, and it reaches the climax in the last few episodes, that was EPIC! Although the episodes are longer than normal Kdramas and one episode is 80+ mins, but the story was pretty comprehensive! Not draggy and fast paced, especially in the second half!

Similar to Fiery Priest and Chief Kim (as they are from the same writer), it all presented in a dark comedy kind of series, with a righteous leader, great amount of fighting scenes, a storyline of corruption and some witty yet hilarious plot throughout. I really enjoyed all of these because it just had all the humour, emotional and thrill in a show, really exciting and fun to watch! This drama in some ways, blows my mind with the integration of mafia and allows all the killing and gun shooting. Well honestly it's kinda weird if you were to think how the male lead can "lawfully" kill and torture so many people, but in other way of thinking, these were the best parts of the show!! I don't know about the others, but I just find all the parts where the king of evil are dealing with the demons were so satisfying to watch! So, I just chose to savor it, don't care if it makes any sense, as long as it entertains!

Applaud to all the casts, they were all equivalently goooood! Song Joong Ki literally slayed the role and was really cool in all his fighting scenes! Not to say, it really gave me a great laugh whenever he was being "harassed" by numerous guys hahaha! Literally everyone in the show is treating him like a meat on the plate! XD Taecyeon was pretty good too, although I personally find him not so suitable for the role, his face just looks too kind for the role, doesn't look bad and scary at all, the starting part of him being a dumb innocent rookie suits him much better! But it was a great spinoff in his acting career, good for him! :) Dongyeon, as good as always, he always pulls off all kinds of characters, a cool one, a psycho or even a coward but kind-hearted little brother. Gosh, and why do his roles always make people wanna protect him so much?

I like the Geum-Ga squad too! I always enjoyed how they make random people come together to fight crimes, it's sooo satisfying, and when you thought they were just some gossiping neighbors, it turns out to have so many hidden experts within, just look at the pigeon and you’ll know HAHAHA!

Well, I would say maybe not all might enjoy this, but generally, YES! This doesn't have much love story (almost none?), it's more about a deep end conspiracy with a group of people led by a mafia lawyer to fight crime and save the day!!! So if you are looking for a good story, this is it!

The Title is What the Story is About

Like the title, this show is pretty much a record of a youth story.
Why would I say that? Because it is really like a video clip that records some ordinary life story that tells a person who had hardships while pursuing his dream, how he overcome it, how he fall in love, maintain friendships, deal with family conflicts. Even the love story between two main leads are very very realistic. It isn't the normal "love drama" where two people have to go through a lot of misunderstanding, realising they fall in love and go through tragic fates. NO, this show doesn't have any of these, they meet, feel great towards each other and just eventually get together. The way they are dating is so realistic like what a normal dating couple will do. Even to the end, the story between the couple is quite realistic too.

Hence, to be objective, this story is quite boring. The whole series has no climax and I was actually going to drop it but I wasn't watching much show so I decided to go on. So you shouldn't be having high expectation on this, but if you just enjoy watching Park Bo Gum or Park So Dam, then go ahead and watch it. Basically it is like a documentary of someone's life, but a very ordinary one.

Well, not to mention, Park Bo Gum's acting is as good as always:) Even a small detailed expression or action, he portrays it real good, I'm impressed! Good luck for PBG's enlistment and hope he stay safe and get good drama when he's out! :)

Best C-drama of 2021! Never get enough with the brotherhood scenes!

Haven't seen a good Chinese ancient drama for quite some time, at least not for 2021. I would say, this is the best of 2021 so far :)

I was surprised coming to know that it was a low production drama as the scenes to me, besides the post-editing of CGI that weren't that perfect, others were pretty well filmed (especially fighting scenes). Unlike the usual big production that went on to 50 episodes, they only had 36 episodes (you will feel it is too short because you love them so much and wanted to see more!!) Well, TBH I felt it can actually be filmed into a 50-episode drama too as the last 6 or 7 episodes are pretty rushed when so many climax going on, but as they are budgeted, totally understandable for them to do it that way, they really made the best out of it!

I never read the novel before, but by watching it as a brand-new series, I really got hooked on with the bromance of the two male leads, so genuine and warm. You shouldn't be comparing it with the famous 'Untamed' drama. Yes, it does share some similarities off and on, where the two were always standing together to fight villains whilst being hunt down by different tribes, but the story is different and their characters too. Untamed brothers started off with stories when they were teenage but WOH brothers were already grownups with much tragedies in life, so they are not as innocent but they were matured too. If you enjoyed watching bromance like Untamed, you should give this a try, it is a very good piece as a standalone:)

I love both Simon and Zhang Zhe Han, great acting skills with on-screen chemistry; although I prefer Wen Ke Xing's character more :) He really shines with the half-villain and half-hero charisma, soft-hearted whenever he is with someone that cares of him but ruthless when people let him down, not too say he's a bit flirty with Zi Shu that makes you chuckle, especially when he teases him, you smell some romance in there! Also bittersweet among the brotherhood have made the relationship grows stronger. I love how they never give up on each other no matter who they were in the past and what they had come through; they accepted each other's awful past and strive towards creating a bright future together! By all means, even if that means killing someone for revenge or die together, they also stand by each other while risking their lives to protect from the back, always being the support for one another.

I mean, how can you not fall for this relationship? I love it, A LOT! It has been a great BL piece after so long! Now I know I can never get enough with the charm of bromance! I hope this trend goes on and look forward to future BL masterpieces!
Side note, not spoiling the ending but remember to look out for Easter Egg after the last episode! :)

Different from Webtoon, Good or Bad(?)

If you would not like to know who the female lead will end up with before you watch it, I think you shouldn't be reading reviews, honestly it is a bit hard to not spoil it.

I started watching without reading the webtoon, but I went to read the webtoon after I started the drama. I would say I personally prefer a remake that doesn't follow exactly from the webtoon, if not why watching + reading both of it? Also I enjoyed watching shows with unexpected plots, so I don't mind if it changes the story, as long as the remake is also a good story! Which I think this is! The drama started off similarly and became quite different in the second half, also it doesn't have some characters that appeared in the webtoon and created some new characters too, which makes sense for the story to develop differently. Plus! This is still an ongoing webtoon and drama only have 16 eps.

If you are a fan of the webtoon and are persistent in the storyline or loveline, hoping to just watch the actual scenes being reenacted, you may reconsider watching this; however, if you are opened to a refreshing remake, then you should watch it! Although it shares a different story, but both are fairly good! Although TBH the last few eps of this drama was a bit draggy, but still okay for me!

Besides the main roles, their side roles are pretty interesting and funny too (especially female lead's teacher and family), definitely gave me a good laugh from time to time. All casts' interactions are quite hilarious and natural too (except for Eun Woo haha, I love him a lot but couldn't deny the fact that his acting was not that natural, as compared to In-Yeop, but has improvement from his previous drama)

Anyway, I'm #TeamSeoJoon, but I prefer female lead with Suho :) At least for the drama.
Reason being that since the very start, the writer has been very consistent in setting up a lot of encounters between female lead and Suho (even from the young age), so it doesn't really make sense for female lead to end up with Seo Joon, although this means breaking lots of second-lead syndrome girls' heart. I'm also pretty glad that the girl wasn't swaying between two guys and was pretty loyal to only Suho, so it ended quite well and I'm overall satisfied. Although I would appreciate if they gave Seo Joon a girl too, honestly he is so precious and deserves so much love. It breaks my heart A LOT when he was always there for the one he cares for but ended up being so sad :'( Gosh, I wish I can have him for myself, such a sweetie pie!!! Definitely one of the best second male leads I've ever seen! With In-Yeop's fantastic portrayal, his on-point smirks and puppy look, he's real good at it!

Overall, a light-hearted teen drama with lovable characters that is worth watching!
