Stupid Eng Subs!

The darn English Subs on Viki for this episode has so many damn gaps! They talk and talk and the only thing we see is “okay” and other responses to something someone else said. Seriously! It’s such an important episode and this has been out long enough for them to fix this nonsense. So damn frustrating!Thank goodness for Dramacool. Their subs are perfect so far.

??

I’m sorry but a “witness” gives a statement (which contradicts every other statement given by the way) and the police just take it as fact, with no corroboration?! Yeah right. They even go so far as to offer witness protection before even hearing his statement and clearly have no intention of investigating further. If he was present he was an alternate suspect. Period. Until he was properly investigated he should have been treated that way. Any halfway decent attorney would be able to prove reasonable doubt with this shoddy as hell investigation. Ugh!

Daebak!

I just started rewatching this episode and it just hit me that In Ha is a combination of everything Jae Myeong hates - she’s a Pinocchio who works as a reporter for MSC (of all places) and who happens to be the daughter of the reporter he hates most of all. Damn.

Lord Help Me!

Lordddd! I cannot stand 2nd leads who overstep their boundaries. Even though this is my 2nd time watching this drama, the 2nd ML’s behavior is still grating on my nerves. He’s not horrible otherwise, don’t get me wrong, and he’s fine as hell, but he seems to have forgotten that the only reason he “knows” In Ha is because of the way he seriously invaded her privacy - for years (!) - that he’s getting close to her know after knowing how pissed she was with the person who’d had her mother’s phone all this time. He’s so spoiled I don’t think he even realizes what he’s doing is wrong. He’s just used to things going his way.EDIT: Oh! And for people who are happy about Dal Po eating crow you all need to remember that when he said those things it was minutes after learning about his father’s body being found and realizing just how badly that Pinocchio and those reporters did his family 13 years ago. He reacted out of pain, misery and grief and he held onto those emotions for those very reasons. This case with the gym lady was the shake up he needed to get himself back on track to his original intent and beliefs.

Speak Up

I hate when drama writers use the method of people not speaking up for themselves to create more drama. You’re a police officer and you’re being questioned for assault yet you can’t explain what went down?! That’s just dumb.

WOW! Daebak!

NOW I’m impressed! I mean, I’ve been loving the show - don’t get me wrong - but this episode was sweet! It was a throwing down of the gauntlet, LOL! My absolute favorite part was when the were ‘questioning’ that super-shady ass prosecutor. Loved it!

Frustrating

This episode took me forever to finish. Kept having to stop to distract myself because it was so darn frustrating to watch. Arresting someone because you think you’ve disproven his alibi (which wasn’t fully recovered investigated with. This is Korea - CCTV and blackbox heaven. You knew he was at the restaurant at 9. You mean to tell me no cameras were searched to see if they could catch him leaving?) with ZERO evidence he even remotely committed any kind of crime is ludicrous. It’s also frustrating how gullible the Korean general public is also portrayed - believing everything they hear in the news when it’s constantly revealed how corrupt the press is there as well. What the heck does that whole shpiel about the military being dirty even matter in regards to the actual case? Are they seriously that daft to fall for that obvious distraction? I like the show but the constant sloppiness of the police and prosecution investigations (excluding the lead character, of course) combined with yet another drama making the general South Korean public look stupid as hell is grating on my nerves. I know it’s just the writer’s method to add dramatic effect but they need to start doing better research into real investigative procedures in Korea to stop making them look so ridiculously sloppy (hopefully, that’s not REALLY what the Korean police and prosecution systems are like, fingers crossed) and they all -drama writers - need to stop making the general Korean public look so dumb, uneducated and gullible. It’s making Koreans look bad to the rest of the world and, honestly, they should be trying to promote better general thinking in dramas to improve their society as a whole. Show what it SHOULD be so people learn to be better and smarter. With that said, I’m still enjoying the show. Just kept getting frustrated watching this particular episode.

Uhhhhh

I like the show, don’t get me wrong, but 26 episodes and they STILL haven’t ever really gotten together??? The show is nearing the end and this push and pull between the leads has played out. This better not be one where they only get together at the very end. 32 episodes is way too long to make someone wait for that and it’s not like there wouldn’t still be a lot of pretty damn good story left to tell. Two people with so many issues would definitely have some things to work through, not to mention the surrounding social issues.

Why not blow the horn…

This episode annoyed me quite a bit. Not the entire thing, just when they were out looking for the client at the fishing grounds. Why didn’t the FL toot the car horn to get either guys’ attention, or even simply call out to the client as he was walking by the car??? That was the dumbest piece of writing. Seriously.

Seriously

Okay so I get that this episode is supposed to be funny and all with the way Iun Lan is behaving but instead it’s really annoying and kinda pissing me off! Who the hell just shows up at someone’s house and just barges in, under the guise of being there to work? Also, does he not understand working hours? And the fact that this chick didn’t put him in check for his behavior is seriously ticking me off. I would have called the cops on his ass for trespassing. UPDATE: Okay now I’m REALLY pissed. Instead of calling her BOYFRIEND to the hospital she calls her clingy af friend?! Ugh! I want to see what happens but this show is starting to get on my nerves since the beginning of this episode. This one episode is killing it for me after how sweet and loving the last episode was. Dude even told her his biggest family secrets!

Why Not?

Why didn’t Mi Ka properly explain the reason for needing to take the leave? They weren’t monsters. Of course they’d have let her go. The writer should have been a bit more creative.

Why not just say?

I’m at the beginning of this episode, my second time watching this drama, and I still find myself very annoyed with the female lead for not simply calling out her ex-boyfriend for being the low-life, lying, cheating scum that he was in front of everyone. She had so much to say to the ML her first time meeting him on the train but couldn’t find a backbone with her ex? That’s just dumb. One of the few things I still don’t like about this drama. Luckily, there’s a lot more to like than not - Ji Chang Wook, for example? He’s totally my bias.

Harassment

What that prosecutor is doing is harassment. He should be sued. He completely abuses and misuses the legal system and should have long since been disbarred.

Fingernail

Halfway through this episode and...is it me, or is Dr. Cha’s fingernail getting blacker and blacker? On another topic - in most cases horses are put down (euthanized) when they break a leg, this is because it’s a threat to the horse life anyway. They are put out of their misery. So why is it so completely unacceptable to put someone out of their misery when they are being tortured and have absolutely no hope of recovery? Because we are human beings isn’t the suffering even worse? My mom died of cancer and for me, my biggest comfort is that she was no longer in unbearable pain. No drugs can help the pain they feel and in many cases their bodies slowly die and atrophy while they’re still conscious. That’s torture, feeling death slowly overcoming you. I’m not saying I’d be okay with euthanasia in most cases but there are some where I believe it’s the more humane and selfless thing to do.
