Lord Help Me!

Lordddd! I cannot stand 2nd leads who overstep their boundaries. Even though this is my 2nd time watching this drama, the 2nd ML’s behavior is still grating on my nerves. He’s not horrible otherwise, don’t get me wrong, and he’s fine as hell, but he seems to have forgotten that the only reason he “knows” In Ha is because of the way he seriously invaded her privacy - for years (!) - that he’s getting close to her know after knowing how pissed she was with the person who’d had her mother’s phone all this time. He’s so spoiled I don’t think he even realizes what he’s doing is wrong. He’s just used to things going his way.

EDIT: Oh! And for people who are happy about Dal Po eating crow you all need to remember that when he said those things it was minutes after learning about his father’s body being found and realizing just how badly that Pinocchio and those reporters did his family 13 years ago. He reacted out of pain, misery and grief and he held onto those emotions for those very reasons. This case with the gym lady was the shake up he needed to get himself back on track to his original intent and beliefs.

I still gloated. Dal Po was a butt, and needed a reality check.

Yeah, I still gloated. Even after that beautiful scene where Dal Po has to come face to face with his own words. I like that realized that his rudeness to In Ha was what have been directed to him.

For someone who has grown up with In Ha he should have known her integrity to the truth is powerful. As a youth dealing with peer pressure she never bowed down.

Then of course In Ha has to ruin it. Giving him a clue about the mistake on the scoop.

I loved that the YGN head news guy said not to focus on ratings and competition. That's what led to their mistake. They need to do better on reporting the truth. The commentary on how competing for viewers affects the news is awesome. I've noticed it on our network news. The same stories, but all with different variations. The truth seems like a second thought.

Dal Po learning his lesson was nice. Despite what happened to him he treated the news like a joke. Guess he was just to full of himself to realize that he could easily become like the people he despises.

But then this episode took my righteous gloating away. In Ha stands up for herself about Dal Po's cruel words. It was nice. He learned his lesson.

This episode was filled with the obligatory cold and romance moment. Lots of cute romance moments between In Ha and Dal Po. Honestly I really want to know more about the second lead Bum Jo. I know he'll probably never be a real contender. But I'm fascinated by him and his mother.

This episode was teasing us about Jae Myung. I felt so worried. The boy is good. And in his rage he may have acted too rashly. Vengeance can be all consuming. The whole time it's teased that the officer investigating the case thinks something is up. That ending packed quite the punch. Not only that but I'm worried about what Jae Myung might do to In Ha now that he's gone down the rabbit hole.

Overall I like how this epsidoe reflects on peoples' nature and how important it is to get the truth before spreading lies. That no one should be callouse, epsecially those already tossing stones. Well done.

my heart

This episode was too much for me to bear and it made me feel so so bad for Dal Po. He already had to go through so much in his childhood/youth and now as a grown-up he still can't find peace. Because he can't shake off the past that easily and it repeatedly catches up with him, causing him to be hurt again and again. And everytime I see the pain in Dal Po's eyes, my heart breaks a little bit more (wow, I am being a bit emotional right here).
And seeing his brother I can't help but cry out loud because all of this is so frustrating and I am just so angry and it's just so unfair that those brothers couldn't live their lifes like any child would. I honestly really hoped that hyung wouldn't choose this way to obtain justice but I guess we can't help it. I probably should get used to the idea of him ending up in jail or him being dead. Whatever the outcome will be, it won't be nice. And I am sure there will be many tears to flow. Brace yourselves.

Pinocchio Episode 7 Review

The uncanny resemblance the story has with reality is quite unsettling. I've always felt that this show grasps the human tendencies precisely, but it is still unnerving to see it again and again. The way Choi Dal Po struggles with the consequences of his mistake was brilliantly shown. Him sitting in the dark side of the room and his old self berating him with the same words he'd used for In Ha. Maybe now he truly understands what's it like being a reporter. Earlier he was just a victim, after this incident he's bound to feel more responsible as he's got the first hand experience of doing a similar mistake too. Love how the writers gave Dal Po a little shake. I'm glad he's got the Captain to look out for him when he's in a fix of emotions.

One of the best things about this show is that there are probably going to be minimal complications in the romance aspect. In Ha's incapability to lie renders all the misunderstandings moot. The main issues when love stories are at stake are the misunderstandings and the things that the lovers don't say to each other, it's highly refreshing to see people who're upfront with their feelings. Granted, Choi Dal Po is hesitant to admit his feelings for her but the reason behind hiding those feelings is on an entirely different level.

Dal Po meeting his brother in this manner was expected, him recognizing him first was also expected. What surprised me was the interest his brother showed in In Ha. I really really really hope that this is not going to turn ugly. It's understandable that Jae Myung might want to hurt In Ha's mother for doing what she did to their family but.. this is too cruel. Hurting an innocent is not justified in any regard. I hope he comes to his senses before any chance of his salvation is lost.

I'm in awe with the way every episode is so well-made and executed. You've got the serious moments, the mystery, the romance, the comedy, everything mixed so well in the perfection combination you never realize how the time goes by. You just want to continue watching their story because it's so gripping! Truly amazing!
