Such a lovely drama, kept me engaged throughout. I love everything about Jung Ryeo won ever since i watched wok of love i am completely fallen for her. Her acting and expressions are top notch, Wish to see her in a full fledged romance drama again. Only gripe is that they could have romance track its a shame as the leads had such chemistry. Other than that thoroughly enjoyed.
This would have been excellent if it made into a 16 episode Kdrama rather than a movie, There is so much story to flush and character development potential that it has for a series.
There was no clarity whether she actually fell for him and no strong reason given and at what instance made me question it all the way until the church scene. Its not the best story but i am happy with the ending . I am a fan of the FL and she swept me since shining inheritance.
This is fantastic watch. Absolutely loved it. Anyone craving for the priates of the Caribbean theme this is exactly it. The quirkiness , the comical aspect and action stunt all are brilliantly done. The Leads chemistry was so good. I love Han Hyo Joo for a long time ever since i saw shining inheritance. She looks damn beautiful in this . Only gripe is that i like the Hwon Sang woo from cruel love and queen of mystery and best of all stairway to heaven , seeing him in a negative role i couldn't take it. However he carried the role really really well as formidable antagonist. Both movies 1 and 2 are 10/10.
Humour is pretty strong on this one. Really enjoyed the clever jokes. The writing is simple and easy to follow . wish they had more romance scenes as their chemistry is damn good just like in the Shark drama and ironically this is a whale drama. Gonna watch the sequel now.
I Can't believe it has this high rating, Apart from the first episode his dad dying situation and around episode 7 or so where his uncle realises that his brother didnt abandon him but was stuck in a situation where he couldnt return , there wasnt any other emotion moments that made me tear up. This is in most part flat out boring i had to keep skipping scenes to finish this. This could be 8 overall not 9.2.
@1:02:03 The kid says to her mom : "APPA BOSICHI " and the mom gave him a knock on the head saying ANIKOTHUNG was so adorable to watch. The movie was kinda too convoluted hard time following whats going on. But they nailed the humour part and they could have made the wife a less miserable character. Although it has it downsides , its good to watch as reading a translated crime novel experience.
Episode 20 was a sobfest. Him at the end playing the piano by the empty shore was really hard hitting. Although the FL did a great job , i felt she could have been replaced by someone else. However in the end when she spoke to her sister saying that her sister was more prettier and intellectual than her and she has the chance to start over made quite and impact on my perception . Loved that dialogue. ML looks exactly like the same even after 20 years from this drama to the current one even his neat hairstyle remains the same . Overall its a good trope , price saving the damsel in distress, evil stepmother/stepsister , amnesia, and wrap it up a melodrama finally the Can**. I have been putting off for more than 3 years from watching it since i thought it would be too much traumatizing . Glad i watched it finally. Cried a lot in the end.
Damn this is extremely boring after around episode 9, Even after skipping forward every second i couldn't go beyond episode 14. Dropping it. I am not sure what others were so impressed with that its gotten this high rating.
I dropped at 8. Not saying it's bad but it's a bit tedious with some cliche. But maybe give it a try for a few…
I am in episode 7 as suspected this is just a stretched out version of 17 again. I feel that its lacking the impact that 'Zac efron done for that role and also the friend character who is rich isnt all that good compare to the movie. Against all the downsides, i still decided to keep watching till i can.
