Kang Dae Man is a popular blogger who writes about cold cases, and head of a profiling online forum. But in real life, he runs a comic book shop, is always scolded by his wife and assumes the role of a glorified babysitter. His Sherlock Holmes-level deduction skills are of no use in his daily life. His only joy is hanging around at a local police station and interfering with ongoing police investigations. Nicknamed ‘the White Shark’, homicide veteran detective Noh Tae Su was a legend in his heyday but he was demoted many years ago and now he’s forced to work under his junior. Then one day, a horrific murder takes place and Dae Man’s friend and detective Noh’s partner Joon Su is framed for the murder! Time of death is clearly given away by the broken wristwatch of the victim, and the murder weapon was discovered wrapped in Joon Su’s clothing. Not wanting to see Joon Su rot in prison for 30 years, Dae Man and detective Noh have no choice but to partner up and uncover the plot behind the murder. As more bodies surface without any solid connection between them, the two men know that they are running out of time… (Source: CJ Entertainment) Edit Translation

This movie was so much fun! The right amount of comedic elements mixed with mystery and crime solving! For those like me who enjoy a good laugh but who aren't overly fond of Comedy genre's in general - this was the perfect mix!

I loved our two leads! They were more alike than they realized :P One a "veteran" detective who has experience in the field and one a "wannabe" detective. We see them clash time and time again, the novice is constantly getting shooed away, but that doesn't make him give up - especially when his friend is no in danger! He gets even more involved and the reluctant detective seems to have no choice but to team up with him in order to save his partner. *I feel like I've seen a similar movie before *especially with the baby involved* but I can't recall the name of that one...* Anyways it was lots of fun seeing these two together and see them actually grow on one another :P and I liked the ending too! ^^ These poor guys though XD Having to "beg" their wives so often lol ah, that was funny to see :P

"Women are creatures to be respected." <*snickers* it was so funny why they said that - I actually pitied these dudes a little :P

Music: well suited for a mystery detective solving movie :)

I would definitely re-watch this movie at some point - it's lots of fun!

Oh my god! I picked this movie without any expectations, I just looked at the poster, saw Sung Dong Il ahjussi and decided to give it a try. Little did I know that The Accidental Detective will become my favourite movie and I can't believe it managed to dethrone Juror 8.

I loved aboslutely everything about this movie. It's a mixture of comedy & thriller and some movies fail to combine these two genres. But The Accidental Detective does it flawlessly. The comedy felt so natural and you can't help but laugh. I don't think I've ever laughed at a movie that much. There were so many hillarious scenes, I feel like laughing just remembering them!

The first half of the movie was a bit slower than the second one. Most of the comedy elements are in the first one, while in the second, there are a few very intense, nerve-racking secenes. I definitely felt like watching a very good thriller. I don't get scared easily when I watch movies, but that scene when they went to the shop where Yu No was... Man, I started trembling! Very well-made scene!

The plot twists were very nicely done. I couldn't predict that at all, I was very far from the thuth.

Kang Dae Man and Detective Noh are one of the best teams I've ever seen! Both Sung Dong Il and Kwon Sang Woo did a brilliant job portraying their characters and it was obvious that they were having fun filming the movie! Thing is my first time watching Sang Woo and I must say I'm very impressed.

The reason why I'm giving the music 6/10 is not because of the music itself, but these lound sounds... My ears couldn't handle them.

So overall, The Accidental Detective is a brilliant movie which will surely make you laugh. It's a very enjoyable ride, there was no boring second so it's a very easy watch!
