I was just watching modern family season 10, and i can't believe haley ended up with "THAT" guy, instead of Andy.
This reminded me so much of SDM. How Haley's character regressed and gave up all her character growth in the end. How come writers do this? It's so disappointing.
HJP had plenty of flaws on his own, but because he showed a lot of remorse, had a genuine relationship with Grandma,…
Yeah, i have heard that during the show's run, the people over at twitter and instagram were pretty savage.
But yeah, we at mdl never escalated that way. And if we disliked a character like nds, we normally back it up with justifiable rhetoric and logic driven analysis.
Haha I'm confused at what they actually trying to say lolAre they justifying it or are they giving us useless…
Maybe because of the work industry I am in, I tend to be quite logical, and I am an avid student of human psychology, which I sometimes even test out on friends of mine to see their reactions (although I should probably stop doing this).
So although not an expect in human psyche, I use the experience I have garnered to form full on statements on my beliefs.
Part of my love for the MDL website is the ability to be completely unfiltered when discussing the things I passionately believe with other educated individuals.
My apologies if my comments lack the clarity of a briefer blurb.

I'm not defending it, so much as I am saying it's a unfortunate and detrimental aspect of human Pscyhe, regardless if the message is positive or negative.
But it's unavoidable, and deeply ingrained in societal norms, and in our everyday life.
Well, I am not the most cleanest writer, so sometimes my thoughts get buried, I lack the gift of writing succinct posts.

I actually admitted it to Hurixia at least once, if not twice. and i've said the same thing to you in the comment above. You said you read the thread, but missed the two times I admitted stereotyping is wrong?
Kimsamsoom Said: "Stereotypes are a part of life unfortunately, and it's unavoidable with the way the world is constructed."
I use the word unfortunately here, to denote that it's unfortunate such a negative thing such as stereotype exist, but it's a normal part of life.
Kimsamsoom Said: " For me, although I do admit, stereotyping is something people should do less of, I know this is an impossibility, as every human beings in some shape or form, makes judgement on things they don't know, and subconsciously subscribe to stereotypes that may or may not be accurate."
I once again say it here that stereotyping is something people should do less of, meaning I understand it's wrong, but I also point out it's almost nigh impossible to do so.
I feel I have a point, so i'm going to defend my poisiton, but in doing so I am not going to shame or lambaste you for not accepting my POV.
It's human nature to stereotype in general. It's also human nature to form opinions on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th hand…
First of all, I've never been afraid to speak my opinion. I don't believe anyone, except God, is above criticism.
And for me, I feel I have the right to make judgements or opinions on whatever topic I feel like, as long as I don't attack another commenter personally.
Just because someone is shaming me to censor myself, and worship the ground that Jisoo walks on, doesn't mean I should fold in the face of such an attack on my right to comment.
I have an opinion, and I choose to share it. If my opinion bothers you greatly, feel free to report my comment to the Mods, or block me so you don't have to read my comments.
Earlier today, I had already blocked one person, who had no pretense to argue logically, and just went straight to attacking me. I have no time for that, because the conversation would be exceedingly one sided.
At least with you and Hurixa, I feel we are having a conversation, where our best hope is that we can accept and respect each other's opinion, and admit, even grudgingly that we each have our own opinions, and won't feel the need to convert the other person.

Just to clarify, my point is that, although stereotyping/generalization is wrong, and should not be done, it's an ingrained part of human beings psyche that is almost impossible to completely remove.
Even on a subconscious level, even if you want to claim you are not a judgmental person, you are doing it unknowingly, because of how deep the concept has been ingrained into our psyche.
Stereotype, Snap Judgements, Generalizations, and etc.. are all given bad raps, and are condemned by multiple people, but those same people condemning those who practice generalizations, are they themselves passing judgement. So it's a vicious cycle of where there is no real end, unfortunately.
If we make a claim that generalizing/stereotypes are inherently negative or even evil, then you can make the case almost everyone is negative/evil to a certain extent.
There's not much information yet regarding the show, but the addition of Yoo In Na is interesting as she's a fairly…
Yeah, they announced it so early, and made so many fans excited, and waiting. And I just feel it's detrimental to the drama that way if it doesn't hit it out of the park, as Kdrama fans are way more critical these days than of years past.
I understood TKEM, I just felt there were too many plot holes, the leads had little chemistry, and the villain was made to be way way too stupid. I couldn't respect Lee Rim with how stupid he was made by the writer.
Yeah, seeing as Black Pink seem like a nice group of girls, I also want to see the show succeed, but I just warn people to temper expectations, lest they set the bar too high.
But ep 1 -6 is all about hjp and sdm being MFEO.
The second statement is actually even backed statistically.
But in the end, these are stereotypes that are used quite often in everyday life, but because its a positive generalization, nobody fusses about it.
Like saying all asians are good at math doesnt bother people. but asians are bad drivers does bother people.
It just shows the hypocrisy of society.
People thinking if your christian, you must be a good person.
Or
If your a woman you are less likely to cheat or have an affair.
Or
If your a star writer like kim eun sook or park hye run, then your next drama will be an instant hit.
Or
Jisoo will be the next hallyu star like Suzy because of her being part of black pink.
These are all generalizations that have positive slants, but in the end, they are not accurate and are no better than negative generalizations.

Secretly Greatly is one of my favorite movies about North Korean defectors.

If I had made the statement.
"OMG Jisoo is just such a nice person, and she's so beautiful, I'm sure she's going to do so well in Snowdrop"
or
"Jisoo, auditioned and she got the main role, because of her talent"
Would these statements be more acceptable? They are positive generalizations, but generalizations and snap judgement nevertheless.

My opinions, or generalizations are not set in stone.
