Suzy also has this concept around her:'XYZ is as beautiful as Suzy', 'My girlfriend will rip out my eyes if I…
Well IU is 5'4 and Suzy is 5'6
Those two inches, make a big difference in beauty you'll be surprised. IU feels short, and Suzy feels tall enough.
Also, IU kind of has a resting b*tch face, while Suzy has the more innocent look. By no means is Suzy the girl next door look, because she isn't. Koreans like angelic looking actresses, that's why Yoona is so popular as well in the beauty department.
Personally for me, although her face is pretty enough, she could benefit from 2 more inches added to her heart to make her appear leaner. Like I think Lisa from Blackpink has an amazing body! SMA also has a great body. Suzy's body is meh for me.
Suzy has the looks for sure. She also has the visuals to back up the looks. Even I will admit she's quite beautiful,…
Well, she's acting alongside a competent ML, so maybe she will get carried. Or maybe Jisoo will be like exo DO, and be amazing. Who knows.
But, after watching her on that Netflix documentary on Blackpink, i'm not hopeful, she seems a bit stiff on it. But then again, Jisoo is the most popular of the four in Blackpink, so I'm sure her drama will get tons of views, just for that fact alone.
I doubt her drama will be one of the best of 2021, considering how many established actors/actresses are making their drama comeback in 2021.
Sorry for a weird question. My curiosity was killing me so,had to ask it somewhere.I have read few articles about…
Suzy has the looks for sure. She also has the visuals to back up the looks. Even I will admit she's quite beautiful, but I actually find Kang Hanna more beautiful though, IMO.
But in reality, a lot of the reason she is considered the most beautiful women or whatever stems from the fact that she started in Kpop. I noticed that Idols who turned actresses tend to have more fans, and people calling them goddesses all the time. Stars like IU and Yoona also suffer from this. Are IU and Yoona beautiful? Yes they are. But are they the most beautiful in Korea? Probably not. But from their fans POV, they are the most beautiful.
But the thing is, because they can dance, they sometimes wear skimpy outfits, and they sing well, their beauty gets magnified into idol/goddess worship. Imagine an unattractive woman singing like an angel, she will suddenly start to look better. A good example of this is the girl in the group AKMU Lee Su-hyun. She is not attractive, but her sweet, melodic voice, makes her more attractive and charming.
So when you have a girl, who is already naturally attractive, has a Kpop, Solo singing career, and has acted in dramas/movies for a while. You will get a lot of people lauding her beauty.
Bottom line, as is, Suzy is not all that, but when you factor in her singing background, sweet disposition, and perchance for playing sweet romantic roles, I'm not surprised people feel she is the one of the most beautiful in Korea.
Rather than the ML becoming more interesting, the FL, SFL, and SML all take turns getting worse to make the ML…
The ML is NJH, who is quite popular and in the same agency as the FL. I think it was already decided before the drama aired.
The writer/producers probably didn't expect this kind of backlash from both international and domestic fans, otherwise they would have made some changes to the script.
I'm thinking of starting a petition on MDL.Every drama on MDL that has a Hallyu star needs to be rated minimum…
I don't get why you call people who rate it 1/10 the worst?
So does that mean the people rating it 10/10 are the best?
You could have stopped your post with "This show was very wholesome drama and I loved it"
But noooo, you have to throw shade at people who didn't enjoy it. How come you can't accept that some or rather most people were very disappointed and wanted to rate accordingly?
Maybe next time, you can claim your love for the show, without bashing the other side. A little self control goes a long way.
Actually, if SDM had given HJP a chance after she found out the truth about the letters, there would be more people…
I agree with you here. While watching the show, I had a feeling that the current HJP, and the letter HJP had a lot of similarities, so I was a little surprised with SDM's apathetic reaction.
Seems like her insisting that she is in love with letter HJP for 15 years, is the biggest lie in the show.
This was such a wholesome drama, ppl giving 1 star are the worst. I get it, youre disappointed but the show was…
I'm thinking of starting a petition on MDL.
Every drama on MDL that has a Hallyu star needs to be rated minimum 9/10 stars. I don't care if the plot is bad, or the acting is terrible. We need to support our Hallyu stars no matter how bad the drama is, otherwise they might get sad.
This is the ideal criteria.
1 Hallyu Star = 9/10 ratings across the board.
If the Hallyu Star has another Hallyu Star as love interest, we need to make it minimum 9.5/10.
If two Hallyu Stars are combined with Hallyu Writer, needs to be minimum 10/10 stars.
Basically, if a Hallyu star decides to do a drama, let's give it automatic 9/10 at least, because they work harder than non-hallyu stars to make the drama. And imagine how tired they are having to look good, and do fan events. It's no wonder most of the dramas they do are not so good, they are just too tired from fan signing event and social media duties, so we need to reward them with 9/10 ratings at least.
agreed, Mr. Queen not being picked up is a travesty. Mr. Queen is a far superior show in every aspect to Start Up, yet no Netflix release, because it's not Suzy and NJH? LOL!
I need to watch s3 of Cobra Kai asap like, lets go! It most definitely has solid writing :)
That's why I don't buy the whole 16 episodes isn't enough to develop characters excuse from Kdrama. Season 1 of Cobra Kai was simply amazing, and we saw great character development in only 10 1 hour episodes. If Cobra Kai can do it, Kdrama should be able to do so as well.
The plot was so much cleaner, and there was not much useless scenes. Most of the scenes ending up being important to further the plot.
The funny thing is, the vocal ones here aren't even exclusively Ji-Dal ship/ endgamers. A LOT of us feel the couple…
Netflix show selection has little to do with how good a script it when it comes to Kdrama I feel. I mean look at TKEM, it was a preproduced show, and they still hyped it like crazy.
I think Netflix just cares about how much big stars it can cram in it's pre produced shows. I mean look at Gong Yoo and Bae Doona's upcoming Kdrama.
Netflix has worked with Bae Doona a few times now, like Sense8 and Kingdom, so it makes sense. Gong Yoo is a big star, so they got him as well. I can't imagine Netflix spending money on lesser known actors/actress on an amazing script.

I feel it's very realistic for Daniel to turn out that way IMO.
Success has a way of changing people, regardless of his earlier lessons as a young man. Plus seeing Johnny again after all those years, probably brought up a lot of the resentment.
Remember, that he and Johnny never became friends after the first few movies, so it's quite realistic the resentment would still be there. Plus, it was important to paint Daniel with a grey brush as well to place him and Johnny on even footing, morally speaking.

This is my first NJH drama, is his other characters that bad?
The editing is not bad!

You can tell this to your "friend" :))))
