The SDM from the first 5 episodes fit with HJP and they deserve to be together.

The writer changed SDM's personality from ep. 6 onwards, and she eventually regressed into a shallow, dense, and really thoughtless character. Which fit NDS more.

I have no problem with SDM and NDS ending up together, because with the way the writer was destroying SDM's character they both fit in the end.

The show's multiple poor portrayal of real life situations, toxic moral lessons, and HJP's non happy ending, will forever place a dark stain on the show though.

Thank you! Yes I noticed a lot of people kept saying the low reviews were because of the ships and love triangle, and I wanted to point out the other things that made the show not so great.

In fairness, I rated this show higher than TKEM.

The new accounts are going both ways, All 1's and all 10's.

I actually think the average rating is still a bit high. I don't consider this show better than record of youth, and ROY is rated 7.6, Dododososol is also rated 7.8. So I would not be surprised if Start Up ended up being rated somewhere in between them. TKEM is also rated 7.9 (which is too high for my taste).

So Start Up is actually being rated exactly where it deserves to be. WIth the likes of ROY, TKEM, and Dododosososl. I guess this what is considered the normal drama for 2020.

Rating of 8.5 and above is reserved for shows that I heard are amazing like CLOY, PBIO, 18 again, TWOTM, WTCB, HSL, and etc...

Also, wasn't the love triangle like 60% of the show? How can you not be invested in 60% of the show, just curious.

With that kind of negative attitude, I'm sure a lot of people here are glad you weren't here for when the drama was airing as well :)

I always find it funny how the people calling other people toxic, are usually the toxic ones.

If "Normal" Kdrama has poor chemistry, poor plot, plot holes, and lazy writing. Then yes, this drama is just your "Normal" kdrama, and it's enjoyable :)

The fact that you think this review is heavily biased, proves that you yourself are heavily biased.

Also you discounted all that I wrote? Nothing was accurate? Nothing hit home? Are you sure? So basically you disagree with EVERYTHING that I wrote? Prove me wrong, create a though based analytical counter argument. I'm always open to discuss the show with other fans. But if your just here to spew hate, and be a troll, then the block button is my friend :)

What is there to nitpick about the second lead who had barely any screen time? And received the harshest ending of all the characters? The second lead has flaws, i'm not discounting that, but of all the characters the writer wrote, HJP was by far the most complex of all of them, and the actors KSH breathed more life into it.

NDS and SDM were boring one dimensional Mary Sue characters who had predictable plots since episode 6 or so. Most people already predicted how their arc would end, which shows how weak the writing was for the show.

The more perfect the characters appear, the more flaws there is to find. And NDS is as perfect as the writer can make him, which left him bereft of any defenses against criticisms.

I guess the ship wars is just beginning LOL!

The review sections starting to look like TKEM's review section, where people are clamoring to ignore other reviews and attack other reviewers.

People should just post their review, no need to belittle other reviewers, it's not nice.

Yes the main couple end up together.

And yes, love triangle is up until ep. 15ish.

She does, HJP told her it was Halmoni's idea for the letters. It's never explained why Halmoni did it though.

@mawi made an assumption on why people were rating the show low, and I merely suggested they read the reviews of the people rating the show low.

And if the people rating the show low are all saying, "I rated this low, because my ship did not sail". Then @mawi has a point, but as i'm reading the reviews on Start Up, most of them don't focus on the ship.

I don't mind the differing views, but if your going to make accusations, you better have the facts first.

Some people have stated in the comments section they joined just to rate this drama.

False account cleaning has been part of MDL's sweep lately.

Not saying that some people are not making several accounts, but it's most likely the minority, and is not substantial enough to affect the ratings.

TKEM actually is quite the opposite, people have been caught making new accounts to say the show is amazing, and giving it all 10's.

Maybe don't judge how people are rating, and read the reviews first?

well halmoni got blind, so that's her karma. HJP ended up alone, so that's his karma.

And NDS ended up richer and got the girl, so that's his karma... Wait a minute! LOL!

Read my review, the ship was the least of the drama's main issues.
