Unpopular opinion maybe, but I will still say it. I don't agree with the idea that poor people have to remain…
I don't think it's a bad or wrong opinion, but it really depends on which side of the world you live in. I live in a country where healthcare is (mostly) free for everyone and same goes for school, so if you're a "normal" person (with normal I mean with no special needs whatsoever) and you're talented, you can climb the ladder because you are given enough basic instruments from society to do so. Maybe you won't become rich, but you can live a comfortable life. (Also: in my country many debts, like gambling ones, do not pass from father to son...)
Even so, if you encounter any kind of problem, as a poor person you'll need ten times the effort to overcome it, and often during that time, consequent problems arise and pile up like an insurmontable wall... whereas if you're rich, you just pay and the problem is solved. And if there's only one job opening for example, if you got the money (or are from a wealthy family) you can "convince" the people in the blink of an eye...
That said, there are places in which you pay for everything and basic needs are often not met, so even children need to help the whole family by working. In those situations, you can be the most talented person ever, BUT if most of your time is spent on hard labor you won't have the time to dedicate to study and selfgrowth.
Plus, "poverty" is not something only money-related: much poverty comes from ignorance (where "ignorance" is not "stupidity" but "lack of knowledge and sense"), just like the case of Jack's parents who, with a foolish and stupid choice (maybe they also were depressed and couldn't think straight?), signed for a bad future for their son.
Ok, unpopular opinions - loving the Boss's character AND Rose too. And yes, Save & Hope too. :D
I really liked this episode, had me glued on the screen (although with some rolleyes on some decisions, but ehi, we won't have the drama otherwise, so...)! I loved how they showed how f***ed is the rich&corrupted people's underworld, that was a very powerful scene with some great cinematography... actually, the whole episode was visually great.
Can a Thai-speaking person clarify this for me: is "Alice" (or something that sounds like that) the actual name…
I wanted to ask the same thing, I couldn't understand if "Alice" was some sort of fictional name for the Boss during the game, but since it was the same name they used before in "Alice's son" (Aran) I was kind of confused...
I'm not ashamed to admit I will really MISS this series. Yes, it was cringe and nonsense and plotless... basically a fanservice party with the worst directing and editing possible... BUT the costumes were amazing, the boys really looked great in those wuxia clothes and they all showcased good to great acting moments.
I think this could have been a great series, if it had a different crew: the premises were very interesting and also the cast. The sad thing is, it was a very fresh idea... but filled with stale tropes and clichèes!
The final episode was like some random trailer for a NC show tho', probably the most confused episode of the drama... we didn't even get to know the ending of the book! ...but I loved Sin/Willi's bright smile. XD
7/10 for me, and I hope Tutor&Yim can get choose their next project and go for something really good, they deserve it.
And I just now realized that the ending credits are different depending on the team's situation: first two eps the base is empty, then we have the whole group bickering, then two eps with them talking as friends, then two eps with Home alone and lonely... and the ending of this episode only had Home/Peach/Pang quietly sitting around the laptop.
There are so many little details and quotes in all the episodes! I'm so happy TayNew are starring in this great project. <3
I just have to stop watching to say that "P'Suradech I choose you!" with the pokeball sound effect is one of the most epic scenes ever seen in a pokemon battle.
Ok, ep6 felt a bit out of the blue to me - I think I'm watching the uncut version, but there were quite some scenes that felt a bit disconnected or put there just for the "fanship" sake. It kinda felt like "an interval" between the first and the second part of something (which is, the story).
Anyway: I'm loving Mark's role and Aran's character, I hope they can manage to build him more tridimensionally in the next episodes; same goes for Hope, although he seems like a crazy bloodthirsty dog up to now but I'm sure he has his story to tell. (Honestly, I would have loved to see these two characters together!)
The only two negatives notes for me, as of now, are the comedic scenes which often feel abrupt (I usually like Thai humour, but here it's not working for me although I understand why they keep on putting these scenes), AND the "plans" that are often quite farfetched.
But! Finished the bingewatch of aired episodes, so I'm on board for the weekly watching of this one too.
8.9? Like I Feel You Linger in the Air?Someone please tell me if it's really as good as IFYLitA so I know if it's…
I bingewatched it yesterday out of the same curiosity, since rates on MDL are usually pumped up (or down) due to fanships and stans... it's not a masterpiece, BUT it's a very good series as of now (ep6).
Totally different thing from IFYLitA tho': this one is fun, energic and entertaining. It does have great acting, very nice cinematography and huge chemistry from the leads and the rest of the cast. It's better than many BLs out there, but ep6 started to feel like it's going down.
I think they should not permit rating if a series is ongoing.
8.9? Is this really that good? A Thai BL that good? Is this real? I don't always trust MDL ratings.
Does not deserve that high of a rating, BUT it's a very good series. I bingewatched it yesterday out of the same curiosity, and it did not disappoint - although we're only midway through and it already shows signs of "downfall".
Bingewatching this to try and find out if the rating stands or is just a bubble... I'm not a YW stan, although I like them, but I was looking forward to a more mature series from them so I planned to watch this anyway sooner or later.
Well, I'm pleasently surprised: 8.9 is definitely TOO MUCH but it's a good drama! Great acting from both Yin and War and also from many of the main cast (MVP of the series is the little girl, this child actress rocks!!). The cinematography is very well made, with nice choices in color palette and nice details... the plot, tho', has some enormous holes, especially in the "logic" of the thefts and of the underworld, but still it flows pretty well and is enthralling.
I just started watching ep5 and another thing I'd say is: Pee is really scary as a crazy underdog! I really liked him in other roles, and I think he's more fit for dramatic scenes while he's a bit stiff in comedic scenes... but he's a good actor and I hope we can see more from him!
Ep11 felt way better and I loved the Master/DemonLord scenes at the beginning... only by exchanging looks and caresses those two were fire!
But: did we really need the wedding? And those games in front of the stairs, is that a tradition or just some random stuff?
And my question since ep7 is: did we really need JingJang and the beach stuff, if we haven't seen nothing else from them ever again? Will he just popup as a bartender or a random guest in ep12? Mah.
On a sidenote - I hope we can get a special episode with the whole story of the characters from the novel. <3
(Can't post a comment in this section without mentioning how beautiful Tutor is, so I'll repeat myself: Tutor is mesmerizing!)

I'm just on ep2 but I find it very intriguing, it has a mood that reminds me of some comedy of the absurd.
There are so many little details and quotes in all the episodes!

This show is chef's kiss!! XD

Also: Joe? He's definitely not a positive example for a relationship (although he's on the victim side).
Haven't seen J&J yet but I'll start bingewatch now.
PS: We're missing P'God from "Monster Next Door" - the drama is basic (simple and cute), but the main lead is such a lovepie!
