Unpopular opinion : I have not enjoyed any shows which starred Earth as the main character and I only got through…
I'm with you. I really love Earth, he's such a lovely boy... but I don't like him as an actor. It also doesn't help that he's been acting the same type of characters forever and ever.
just kidding got it loving caliber- call me out for anyone who wants to know. it’s the same group that did halo…
And also "Stay Here with Me" and "I Wish you were mine" featured in The Warp Effect, and "Glowing in the Dark" that I can't recall which series was featured in... maybe always TWE? That series had amazing songs through all the episodes... or maybe Not Me.
Still, Loving Caliber seems to be pretty loved by Thai drama producers.
And so it finished. I'll be a bit sad that we won't get our weekly dose of P'God next week, or of BeerWan's bickering or the cast interactions... but it was a nice final episode. Maybe the presentation part was a bit cringe, but oh well... so were the band's performances.
Dew mad huge steps forward from his early days, and so did God... they'll probably be a happy couple forever and ever. Sad note: in the last episodes we basically brushed away Beer and Wan, like... why? They "finalized" and that was it? Sad.
All in all it's an 8/10 for me, it wasn't revolutionary but it treated many topics and relationships in just the right way. Plus, God will probably forever be among my faves characters ever.
This show deserves double the praise it has: all episodes up to now have been great, but ep7 definitely hit the jackpot!
The "ghost story" was so rich, deep and well done, ForceBook cameo was outstanding (in 15mins they did better than any other role they ever had!), the direction and cinematography were perfect and the costumes/setting were so beautiful too! I cried so much, and I totally wasn't expecting it! Plus, that ending and the preview for next episode are WOW!
2024 has gifted us quite a few great shows, but this is really rocking year's end!
This was one of my first BLs, loved it and rewatched it several times... now that time has gone by, from time to time I still watch the most memorable scenes. To be honest, it didn't age well (storywise), but Perth's impersonation of Ae will forever be irresistible... he was so young and so talented already!
One of my biggest hopes is to see SaintPerth again in the future: in mature roles, in a great movie/series with a huge plot and direction.
Ok, let's be honest - I was hoping that the "rescript" would adjust things plotwise, but that's something almost impossible to do as of now. Instead, they went for: "let's add more NC scenes so that half of the episode is hot guys with a naked torso kissing each other!". It's not really what I had in mind, but... but... but... Tutor is so damn beautiful I could watch him be a tree in the school recital and I'd still be happy.
This is building up episode after episode in such an interesting and fun way... I just really hope it doesn't sink in a trite do-goodism along the way.
I kinda agree and disagree at the same time - I honestly was waiting for Beer/Wan since the start, and I totally…
On that I fully agree - they failed in developing, and showing us, both boys' feelings... especially Wan's. They had plenty of time throughout all the episodes.
The new trends for this autumn: #freetheturtle #wingame and not to mention #getyourselfabeer in which "beer" has obviously multiple meanings - be it a boyfriend, a maid or... just a drink to forget it all and wet your tshirt.
Sometimes, I really wonder who writes these things. Like who thought it was romantic to have Wan ask Beer if he…
I kinda agree and disagree at the same time - I honestly was waiting for Beer/Wan since the start, and I totally agree that the dialogue could have been way better... basically the whole thing could have been less rushed and feel more complete; BUT somehow I felt all that crap that Wan said was very into his character. Somehow to me it felt just as a way to underline he's too shy/childish/proud/whatever to admit that he truly missed/likes/loves Beer... but Beer knows him deeply and he knows it already, so he accepts it and reassures him.
It also doesn't help that he's been acting the same type of characters forever and ever.

Can't wait for next ep!
