I must be built different than some of the people here because I thought the basketball game was the most compelling…
Couldn't agree more! I love the team dynamics of this show, the whole group has grown and bonded both as single individuals and as team so much! (...except for Ice who looked like a poor fish out of the pond XD) I'm not a sport person, I usually don't watch sport dramas or movies (unless they are BLs :D :D :D) and just like you I ffw every sporty thing in DSN (probably also because King was so damn annoying!)... but here, I was cheering them so much even knowing that it's a movie! It felt like they were really struggling to find a way to overcome obstacles and to win!
The first episode, for me, was one of the worst things seen in my dramalife: I hated every moment of it, couldn't stand all that paddlepaddlepaddle thing with the crazy girl screaming. O.O BUT STILL, I decided to watch the second episode. And now I'm addicted to this series, it's soothing and sweet and "normal"! The actors and their relationship are nostalgic and pure and relatable.
It feels so weird to jump every week from "Not me" to this one, and still like and love both. XD
Everything has been said already about ep11, but OMG a round of applause for Sing's performance! He was SO DAMN HOT, evil, tormented, cool, layered, vivid... jeeeeez how can everyone be so great in this drama? Anucha and the crew did an amazing job in directing these actors!!
Nope black would never trust Todd again nope that’s not going to happen at all Todd has now tried to kill him…
Sadly there are tons of "romantic" (read it "toxic") relationship in dramas/mangas/whatever in which one of the lovers tries to kill the other and still they keep on going. >.<
I have postponed up to know watching this series... I love New but I'm not a big fan of Tay so I've always said "nah I'll see it another time". Now just like probably almost everybody else, I'm on a "Fluke mania" so here I am.
And yeah, I cannot stop myself from laughing at the opening theme. It's sooooooo "Beautiful"-style, I was expecting Brooke and Ridge to appear too! XD
Hoooooly, wasn't this episode strong!! O.O I was literally crying for poor Sean, and having fear goosebumps when Black was kicking asses!! He's so damn scary!!
Such a pity the production was so average... the actors did quite a good job in portraying their roles, Yeong Woo made me smile in each and every scene. Maybe a couple more episodes would have helped in understanding the ending better, but given the other ones... maybe not. XD
So, basically everything could have been solved 8 episodes ago if someone let Nueng talk to both Phap and Tharn clearly.... so maybe we could have solved the frustrating "miscommuncation" trope and let the plot concentrate a bit more on character development (and on the "accidents happening" storyline that would have been pretty intriguing...).
Again, till the very end I did not like Phap (just because you are an artist doesn't mean everybody is an art critic and can understand that, if you paint thisandthat, then it means thisandthat... especially people who are "emotionblind" like our main lead...), I liked how Tharn&Nueng storyline ended and I would love to see a series starring them (I felt they had much more chemistry then PhapMaze)... and, luckily Singto was cool and goodlooking till the very end because the final scene felt so awkward. ^^'
So when you think nothing can be better then BadBuddy, here you go with NotMe delivering one winning episode after the other. This series is being A MA ZI NG! I'm suggesting it to basically each and every person in the world I know, hoping to share the OffGun/Thai/BL/lgbt love around the world. XD
Everything has been said already, but I just want to say I'm loving Off: we know Gun's one of the best BLs actors out there, but Off has improved so much that they are now standing on equal ground.
......And what are First's eyes made of? They are so deep and shine so bright, mygosh! O.O
What are your theories as to why Sean took the button from White’s shirt? How would use that to tell the twins…
Don't laugh, but I honestly thought about the graduation ceremony in which the boys are asked by the girls to give out their uniform buttons XDDDDD But obviously that's only for Japan XD
I was expecting much worse from this series but turns out I was quite pleased and I bingewatched through it in a couple of days. The plot is nothing great but there were so many cute moments thru all the episodes (yeah there was some trash too, but hey... shit happens XD)
Leo is basically THE perfect Prince Charming trope: he's intelligent, rich, beautiful, cute, sweet, romantic, caring, attentive, hot, mature, athletic... I loved Ja's performance, you could tell he's not the best actor out there but his face and expression as a caring Leo watching over Fiat really melted my heart. Lovely. His character was also very positive (...except for the last couple of episode with him falling over the most stupid girl tricking him into the most stupid blackmailing thing ever... that was really out of his character).
My biggest problem at the beginning was Fiat's character: he's so cute but I kinda felt he was too childish and impulsive... luckily he has an amazing growth during all the series in many aspects, while still keeping his insecurities. He doesn't just "become someone else", instead his "growing up" felt very natural and made sense (...but please, in the future, don't make him cry so much... ^^'). In the red tuxedo at the end he is GORGEOUS.
Leon & Pob: I just loved them. Pob has probably become one of my favourite characters out there (yeah, I have 3 cats at home and volunteer in cat refuges, so probably I could relate XD), he's so sweet and kind and... NORMAL! XD I really can't wait for their own series, hoping they remain as positive and sweet as they were here,
But my greatest kudos are... for Leo&Leon's family! Their mother is THE mother everyone should have: a great woman, empathic, caring, smart, proud, witty and so damn beautiful. I loved her character's dynamics with everybody else.
All in all I don't think I'll ever rewatch it, but it was waaaaaay better then TharnType honestly.
The biggest question to me now is: how can everything end in just ONE episode? o.o
All in all ep11 was probably among my favorites... probably because there is almost no Phab in it. XD We keep having a boneless Than, and a fisheyed Nueng, and a plot that basically puts randoms thing in it but I liked how they all came together to solve Pookie problem... AND I loved the Maze/Nae combo, they were so cool and funny! XD
Honestly this drama is nothing great but I have seen SO MUCH WORSE... I keep watching it, at least Singto is wonderful in this attire and Tanshi is a joy for eyes and heart. <3
This drama has to stop making me cry at the end of every episode. So damn beautiful. T_T Every episode has had its great moments, but now it's really growing so much!
I loved how Sean/Black have built their relationship up to now: somehow we have felt their chemistry thru small and big gestures, and Sean's change of mind and now their acceptance/surrender to a feeling that maybe they don't even yet recognize.
I agree with whoever is saying Todd is the one behind all this: he basically always comes out of nowhere asking for info but only give away the hints that he wants... and maybe all in all Tawi might not be that bad of a guy (maybe he's Todd's father? XD)
And once again: HOLY SHIT THE MUSIC OF THIS SHOW!!!! AMAZING!!!
Thanks! I've watched almost any Thai BL out in the last five/ten years, but I wonder why I never actually watched a "non-gay" story... seems like it's time to start with some lakorn too XD
So, after admiring Frank in 2gether, I decided to rewind to his youth and here I am, starting this series.
Just one thing I must say, that I think everytime I see Khaotung: he has such a soft, kind and sweet face, why does he have that horrible picture here on MDL? It doesn't even look like himself. u.u
I think it’s amazing what GMMTV is doing with Not me. The world we’re living in is shallow and filled with…
I totally agree! I love how real these characters and their issues are, for once we have characters who act and speak like if they had no manufactered script but with themes, emotions, words we can connect with in our everyday struggles. We all need fluffiness in our lives and I won't say I'm not waiting for Sean/Black and Yok/Dan to end up together, but that's just how life is: there's a whole lot of things happening around people other than romance, and it's usually that what makes people grow and act in determined ways. We already have many "standards BLs" out there, let this be the "outstanding" one. <3
I want to take a stand in defense of Maze, I think he could have been a wonderful character if the writers did not smoke half a forest before writing his dialogues and actions. He's the classic "cold main lead who doesn't remember how to love" but with such cute puppy eyes. <3
Anyway. Singto had a TERRIBLE make-up in episode 10: especially the terrace scene was obscene, the foundation/phard was so dark! o.o
And: Nae always has amazing outfits, but that leopard blue body was unwatchable. o.o
All in all I know this drama sucks, the plot is trivial, the dialogues are meh ("I have seen him happy also in other moments" "when?" <--really do you need him to say it? "when he was with you" .....bleaaaah!), there is basically nothing happening but everyone acts like it's the end of the world... but well, now I really want to see these 4 hopeless guys till the end. XD
I'm not a sport person, I usually don't watch sport dramas or movies (unless they are BLs :D :D :D) and just like you I ffw every sporty thing in DSN (probably also because King was so damn annoying!)... but here, I was cheering them so much even knowing that it's a movie!
