I like that they still featured Kedsurang and Por Dech in the episodes so far. The chemistry between those two is my favorite. Putarn and Rid are cute but Putarn’s personality isn’t as charming as Kedsurang.
I like the side couples - they are cute!
I wish there was some competition for Putarn since there are two other annoying competitors for Rid’s attention. Let’s balance it out a bit 😁

Totally agree! I am most disappointed with her not even putting in the least bit effort to humble herself and just apologize!

I think the show is deliberately being stupid to generate buzz and noise. Some publicity is better than no publicity, I guess lol

Yes, that would be ideal but then again, we might get a Mary Sue or (white lily) FL that people will say is boring and too nice LOL...

Lol, yes, we are....to me, she was able to chase him aggressively in the beginning because her heart was not invested yet. It was a game for revenge and she never took it seriously. After her personal feelings got involved, and she fell hard for him, that's when she lost all false bravado.

Ultimately, we both agree that Shu Yi needs to apologize and grovel, and do all she can to convince shi Yan that she is sincere towards him.

A lead that has such low EQ and only knows how to listen to her friend instead of following her own instincts.
It's still a very interesting role for Bailu though - a smart, sassy and successful FL who is just terrible at personal relationships. The show would have been fine if they hadn't taken so long to drag out this miscommunication trope...

That I completely agree. Shu Yi is totally in the wrong here for not even attempting to explain or just apologize. She should get over being a coward and do some decent groveling to let Shi Yan know how much she missed him.
Shi Yan did not make it easy for her though - blocking her, refusing to see her, and then when he finally agreed to see her, he was super cold. Of course, he was totally justified in his behavior. All I am saying is that it cannot be easy for Shu Yi who was already so cowardly to try and reach out on a personal level. That's why she reverted to her work form which was probably her most safe place.

That's where we have different impressions because I don't see Shu Yi complaining about the rumors or that he gave someone a ride. She was very upset but not because of jealousy or possessiveness, more that there was no more hope.

Actually, unless I missed something, she never wanted him to apologize or beg her. She was already guilty, and for her, it was better to walk away. It is that stupid friend who kept feeding her nonsense and that she should give up instead of trying to communicate. The FL's biggest mistakes were listening to her friend and backing off so easily just because of her guilty conscience.

I didn't get the impression that she was pissed, more that she gave up on any hope of reconciling with him. That's why she blocked him after that.
She had no idea who that girl was and that he was only giving her a ride. In her mind, she thought the worst. After that, she only heard the rumors about Shi Yan and that girl being childhood sweethearts. Which only made it seems to her that there is no hope.
I don't think she is leading Yi Yang on, she has been very clear with him about them just being friends. Since she's made that clear, it is not ambiguous between them. For me, she is maintaining the friendship, and ultimately Yi Yang is free to back off or give up.
That said, the way she was looking at Shi Yue texting, I think there was a glimmer of something that she wanted Shi Yue to let Shi Yan know. I don't know whether to cause jealousy or the message that she has moved on...Not sure about that.

Wow, Qin Shi Yue can jump! Honestly why is the younger character the one most sensible and mature about love and relationship?!

Yu Yao was such a dork even in his confession ;D Luckily Shi Yue had high enough EQ to see through all that and reason her way to them finally being together.

I see a lot of hate towards Shu Yi and I get it, I myself am very frustrated with her. However, in ep 30, she has made up her mind to move on and in her opinion, they have broken up. So her hanging out with Yi Yang actually did not bother me that much. I do like that she is suffering and finally breaking down and crying in the office.

As for Shi Yan, I am on his team but it is good to see him brood a bit too. Since he told that goose of a friend Shan Shan that she did not have to play messenger and that it was between Shu Yi and him, then he should also be more proactive, just like what Shi Yue said.

Anyway, I think most of my patience with the main couple is because the preview for ep 31 is encouraging. Then maybe we can get 5 full episodes of our couple working together to help Yun Chuang.

I am enjoying it mainly because of the suspense. You don't know what will happen next because there are different groups fighting and plotting against each other plus the police in the mix trying to catch them.
The filming is a little choppy but it feels more experimental to me instead of just bad editing.
Wang Zi Qi is great as the ML and he shows a different range of acting talent here compared to his characters in the rom-coms he was in and Imperial Coroner.
There is hint of romance to come, and probably some angst since there will be some conflict of interest when it comes to the ML liking the FL.
Give it a try! It's fast paced and most of the time, I don't even realize how quickly I go through each episode ;D

I wish that Por Dech’s mother became more progressive after Kedsurang joined the family but looks like she’s going to create obstacles for our young couple. Rid is so childishly cute. Putarn seems more matured but they are fun together.
I wonder if the King is going to join in the love triangle?

I am getting the feels when I watch the lead couple. So far the story is building up nicely in ep 9.
