His own people, loyal to him, the ones he as a future ruler was supposed to protect. My poor girl Qiao gave her young life to shield this hypocritical freakin prick and what did he do in return? He betrayed Li Shuang and got her whole residence killed (my poor girls!), when he teamed up with the devil just to betray and kill another person who protected him (Jin An). And all of this solely out of JEALOUSY and OBSESSION. I don’t care how tragic his past is. If he takes it out on innocent people who stood by him, he’s unredeemable, especially if he even goes further.
This m*therf*cker will never be a benevolent ruler. He doesn’t give a damn about his country or its people. Which of his decisions since becoming Emperor were really SOLELY made for the country and not for his own greed, obsession and hunger of power? I absolutely loved the portrayal of Jin An slowly showing hints of Prince Annan's demeanor. Its shown really subtle in his eye acting and body language but still quite visible that it gave me actual goosebumps. The scene in Ep. 30 with his two soldiers was so cool! You could feel that it's not just Jin An, but also not quite Annan, but a mix of both, but his eyes and body were screaming Annan and when he finally revealed himself to the soldiers and to us, the audience, that he remembered his origin, was brilliantly executed. His voice also changed in that moment.
He gives off such a different feel with Prince Annan's subtle demeanor. Scheming and cunning, just like his reputation...
I also love how the memory loss is written. Instead of just wiping away Jin An completely once the relic is gone, they show him struggling with fragments of both Jin An and Annan's emotions and memories. This kind of inner conflict is so much more interesting :D

Wang Ying Lu is such a beautiful actress and her acting is so mesmerizing! How was she never on my radar?!?! I really hope we see her in more amazing dramas, because I'm loving her! As for Arthur Chen, I've already seen him in some dramas, but I guess his role as Sima Jiao is my favourite so far!

Definitely! I really hope they don't butcher up the rest of he drama or the ending. I'm mostly scared of the ending... But as of now, this drama and TPOB are definitely best romance dramas this year as of yet imo.
Nooo, why did it have to stop right there at ep.24?!?!?! 😭 I can’t wait until we finally get our cute couple back together. Honestly, I skipped through quite a bit in the last few episodes... too many annoying side characters lol I guess we were just spoiled with so much screentime of only them for most of the drama, that these episodes with too many side characters felt kind of meh in comparison. But now that they’re slowly finding their way back to each other, I have hope we’ll get more of their scenes again.
And oh my gosh, Sima Jiao is just unbelievably gentle and soft with her. It’s melting my heart. He’s so scared of even slightly offending her that he’s being extra tender and it makes my heart ache for him. The way he always looks on the verge of tears after finding her… ugh, my feels 😭
I really hope they’ll return to being our adorable, teasing, flirting couple soon.
Also, I’m glad the writers didn’t dumb down Ting Yan in this amnesia arc. She’s still smart, trusts her instincts and listens to how her body reacts around Sima Jiao ❤️

I’ve had such a busy week that I didn’t get to watch a single episode the past few days. But now I can binge 10 eps to my heart’s content on this glorious Sunday!!! It feels so good ❤️ I’m almost done with episode 9 right now and I’m having the best time. Ting Yan is just too cute, I had to share my excitement for this drama and how lovely our FL is! Whether human or otter, she’s absolutely adorable and hilarious! lol
