I’m ten minutes into the first episode and it already screams low-quality from every angle. It has heavy mini-drama vibes. The cinematography, writing, dubbing… all quite mediocre. Not feeling this right now. Maybe I’ll give it another try once more episodes are out and the comment section gives me hope 😅

I understand, in a way, why people are divided in the comments. But there is no way that in real life you would…
Sociopathy doesn’t automatically mean “no empathy or remorse ever”. It’s a spectrum and people with ASPD traits often do show selective attachment, flashes of guilt, or some level of cognitive empathy, even if it’s inconsistent. Unlike psychopaths.

And honestly, nobody here is “cheering on” real-life abuse or manipulation. We all know that what she’s doing would be horrible in an actual real-world situation. Fiction gives us the space to explore flawed, morally grey, or even outright toxic characters without endorsing them. People enjoy villains, anti-heroes, revenge plots and messy characters all the time :D

Okay, now that I'm done ruminating on things. I do have a question:When Junseo told Ah Jin that Jae Oh is there…
I think it's a bit of both. She surrounds herself only with people who are useful to her, but I do actually think she respects him or admires him a little, because he killed his abusive father and broke free from his shackles.

When she called his younger brother a fool for refusing to see him, even though Jae Oh would do anything for him — literally kill their abusive father to protect him — and said she would stay by his side if she were his little brother, I think she meant that sincerely. She needed someone who was willing to do the unspeakable for her. So it's a mix of both,

Also I don't think her smiling and laughing with him was fake, so she was glad to meet him again. Jun Seo felt it too.

I wish I hadn't read that.... people avoid this comment. Because it's a webtoon spoiler. Don't be like me :(
I know, but I thought it's a drama spoiler of todays episodes and not a novel spoiler, that's why. I wish there would be two kind of spoiler tags. For the adapted novels/webtoon and the actual drama... 😅

so much foreshadowing in this episode! Her saying In gang will die, then Jun Seo saying JaeOh can help Ah Jin…

At this point… if people weren’t constantly out to get her and provoking her, she would genuinely just try to live quietly and let everyone else live in peace too. But she can’t catch a break without someone trying to drag her down again. And yes, it’s awful that innocent people get caught in the crossfire when she fights back, but I still can’t bring myself to hate her…

Well, let's see if my feelings will shift in the next few episodes, because I already feel bad for In Kang… he’s already hanging by a thread as it is.

And Jun Seo is honestly pretty unhinged too. His obsession with A Jin is intense. In a way, she shaped him into this by making him carry guilt for what his mother did to her. But it’s also true that his mom was and still is cruel to A Jin, even if A Jin provoked some of it. Back then she was just a child trying to avoid being trafficked. That was her survival instinct back then and still is. But Jun Seo’s obsession isn’t healthy either… he "loves" her in a way that’s toxic for him as much as it is for her.

I really liked the latest episodes again! Can't wait till next week :D

I was wondering why Fugui had become a side character in his own drama when I suddenly realised Fugui has never…
This!!! Also explains the title "Sword and beloved" lol

They really said: "Let's keep the leads apart for half of the drama, because who cares about them anyway?"... Like seriously, they haven’t had a single scene together lasting more than five minutes in the last 14 episodes(!!!) lol They fkd up so bad with our leads. It's just sad 🥲

And let’s be honest, we’re not getting any real development in the last 7 eps either. The stove’s gone cold, even if they try to light it again. Also we've got no time for them, because the writers favorite season is slowly coming: ✨ the mass execution arc. ✨ Time to kill everyone off, yay!

Let the hunger games begin and don't forget, our beloved screen-hog Jing Ting is still on the loose to take the remaining screen time and of course, everyone's lives. But hey, they’re the ones who spared this mass murderer, so I guess they had it coming. Lovely. Just lovely.

The writers basically demoted the leads to glorified cameos and said fk to their romance. Who needs romance, when we can have FL's spider brother incest subplot and poor ML literally running on his last 2% battery life? Stunning writing choices all around. Bravo! 👏

Yeah sorry, but I have to rant: Like, seriously... they should delete romance for this drama 😭 While 2nd leads are out here getting married, flirting, living their best lives, our main leads barely share five minutes of screen time together.

This was the most anti-climatic reunion after being separated for 10 eps(!!!) I've ever seen... Didn't even make any sense for them not to acknowledge each other. The writer messed up so hard. I’m honestly just sad and exhausted at this point. And now they’re separated again?? Like… for what??

Apart from the non-existent romance for our leads, the writing and editing also became a mess. What were those random scene cuts right after they finally acknowledge each other?? They jumped scenes like it was a TikTok montage. And didn't even give us anything to compensate for the lack of the protagonists.

They robbed us of what could’ve been one of the most beautiful reunions ever. Even Yun Fei’s voice roleplay of Fu Gui and Qingtong had more emotional depth than their real reunion 😂

Also every character’s IQ dropped so bad, good people die like flies, but the villains? Immortal. Absolute cockroaches. Seriously, Jing Ting is still alive, thriving and will likely be the cause of many more deaths to come. Could've been prevented, but no, all of the leads are sooo merciful. SO FKN ANNOYING. I can't even be sad if literally everyone dies by the end, because they at fault for keeping all their enemies alive.

They ruined it. They absolutely ruined it. I just want to cry 😭😭😭😭

Ep. 12 will forever remain the highlight of the whole drama. So full of emotions and angst. The emotional core this show could have had. The wasted potential hurts so much, because this drama could’ve been so good...

I'm sad. This was the only ongoing drama, I've been enjoying a lot... now it's just frustrating to watch.

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Fu Gui is peak soft energy. His voice, his manner, even his advices are all so refined and gentle it hurts. Given his past, how he grew into this gentle and calm person is honestly mind blowing. Also it's really rare to see a ML like him in genres like this.

He deserves way better than this messed up world. If the sadist writers actually give him a tragic ending, I will riot!!

Hong Ye ...lol i still think hes failure as a dad...hes not a bad man, and generally have good intentions. And…
imo he’s not a good person either. Maybe he used to be, but definitely not anymore. Yes, he’s not as evil as the others, but that doesn’t make him a good or "not bad" person. His morals are just as twisted. Maybe his past explains it, but it sure doesn’t excuse it.

Killing innocent demons already puts him on the same level as other villains. Add to that the emotional and physical abuse towards his own son, using him as a killing tool and not once acting like a father but then always pulling the “Do you even see me as a father?” card. Like, dude… either he’s your weapon or your son. I had to facepalm every single time, when he pulls the father card 🙈

And forcing his son to kill the woman he loves? Yeah not so good lol Maybe in fiction world full of humans and demons it's acceptable 😂

Are you fkn kidding me right now?! Quan Jing Ting is still alive and living his best life playing the victim? I’m sorry, but this writing is seriously driving me insane. You’re telling me they just let him walk around freely after everything he’s done... no punishment, no prison, nothing?! Did they even learn a thing?!

Meanwhile, they strip Fu Gui, who literally saves their asses, of his sword meridian and exile him to the western region forever??

You seriously can’t make this sh*t up. I can’t be the only one completely fed up with this dumb writing. I mean, we already know the Alliance is dumb af, but the writers somehow keep outdoing themselves every episode. Like, how do you create a “powerful” Alliance and make them the dumbest species on earth at the same time?!
