Hmm... I really didn't enjoy the latest few episodes. At one point I started to lose interest and didn't care about the plot anymore. Maybe because the focus switched to other characters than the leads, that I simply don't care about. Even if they are part of the big picture, there are so many villains, that it's exhausting. I know they tried to make the villains complex and I usually like villains who are more than "evil for the sake of being evil", but I just don't care about them here lol

Glad, it's over tomorrow. If Song Mo dies, then scriptwriters this year really are twisted and sadists.... This year, there was barely a drama which I enjoyed from beginning til end. Hope next year will be better 😅

Im Chul Soo's drama characters are simply always the best! This actor is such a natural comedian and he elevates almost every drama he stars in. His comedy-relief characters are always hilarious 😂

When he closed the window blinds so dramatically, I've had a good laugh at his petty revenge 😂

It's been so long that I've forgotten. I've checked my watchlist and I actually also watched her in "Remembrance of Things Past" 😂 My bad... my memory is like a goldfish, but it doesn't change the fact, that she's indeed pretty haha

I think I haven't seen Sun Qian in a any drama yet, but I find her soooo pretty!! I really love that she's wearing not that much makeup or maybe it just looks like it. Anyway, she's super pretty!

Just started this and I enjoyed the first three episodes 😊 It didn't drift too much into Mystery or Thriller yet, so I quite like the slice-of-life/romance/occupation vibe as of now 😁

And I really love Cheng Yi's parents. I hope nothing happens to either of them!

Why did both of them get such a horrible fashion taste after they grew up? I hated their outfits for their "first" date as adults lol They had better fashion style, when they were younger. What happened? 😂

I mean, I get that Yun Ji Won wore her usual sporty attire, but what's with that ugly sweater, Seok Ji Won?! XD

Of course, antagonists are important, but is there a need to watch romance and struggles of those villains? Well, not for me... 😅

I ended up mostly skip-watching the latest episodes. Honestly, who even cares about these side characters, who treated the FL and ML so horribly and caused them so much pain and injustice in both their first and second life?

Sure, I get it, some of them have "changed," but I still couldn't care less about Dou Ming and that wimp husband. I still love our leads, they are literally so adorable, but there are just too many irritating side characters hogging too much screen time right now.

Here’s hoping the story shifts its focus back to our leads soon…

Yoo Yeon Seok's acting performance in ep. 6 was so good! He's really good at emotional scenes. His eyes speak volumes!

As you can probably tell from my flood of comments, I’m mostly full of praise for this drama. However, there’s one particular scene in episode 13 that I did not like...

I’m curious if anyone else felt the same way or if I’m just being overly sensitive and critical lol Honestly, I’ve been pretty disappointed by most dramas this year, so I tend to get extra picky when a show that starts off strong starts to slip.

So let's just say, that's me being picky 👀

The scene I’m talking about is near the end of episode 13, when injured Dou Zhao emotionally ran to Song Mo after they spotted each other across the lake.

First off, the editing felt abrupt and sloppy. That cinematographic cut from them running toward each other to almost embracing each other was weird and felt cut off. The inconsistent hand positioning in the different angle cuts was distracting too.

And then there’s the intimacy between them in this scene. Are they really at the stage where they’d hold each other so closely like a casual couple? I don’t think so. I sincerely hope the show won’t skip the fun, thrilling buildup of them becoming a couple—the sparks, the tension, the emotional and physical closeness gradually developing. It would be such a shame to bypass all that and jump straight to a “comfortable long-term couple” vibe. Like a particular other drama I've watched recently ... >_>

So far, the drama has done an excellent job with these moments—except for this scene. It just felt unnatural to me.

Lastly, Dou Zhao was recently suspected of having an affair, so why would they run around in public, almost embracing each other? I know you’re head over heels for each other, but where y'all left your smart brains?

So true, but I actually appreciate that they didn’t squeeze it into the later episodes like so many historical dramas do these days just for shock value.

I’m already bracing myself for the possibility that almost everyone will die, because, let’s be real, that’s just how historical C-dramas go. But I’d much prefer they avoid those last-minute, cheap shock deaths. That’s why I respect the way this one was handled. It didn’t feel rushed or forced.

Of course, who knows? Maybe the other characters will still meet their end in those typical dramatic twists… but I hope not!

Yes! The directing, editing and production are top-notch! I absolutely love how thoughtfully crafted some of the scenes are. The first-person shots, in particular, pull viewers right into the story, almost like a video game. This director has such a distinctive style that I really appreciate.

That sounded like an excuse to me! 😏 Their sizzling flirtations at the festival were undeniably intense and it seems our lady is worried she might be getting romantically entangled.

Lu Zheng 😭 Song Mo's father and his whole family side needs to die! If there is any forgiveness, than I will riot! They killed Lu Zheng!!!

Why won't Dou Zhao admit she's the masked lady from the Granary Festival? Was their flirting so intense that she's trying to dodge responsibility for that night? lol
