Finally brought myself to watch the last episodes, because I didnβt want this to be over and I never wouldβve thought to get a happy ending in this drama! πβ€οΈ Iβm so happy! Although their future together seem uncertain, it was a sweet ending, because they vowed to stay together. Him calling her name finally was soooo beautiful. Gosh! I love the new humming OSTβ¦ it made every scene more romantic.β¨β¨
I really enjoyed this drama a lot and itβs been some time that I loved a Sageuk as much as this one. The beginning was really strong and left a good impression on me. Maybe the middle part was a bit dragging, but never enough to make me dislike this drama at one point.
Also Jo Jung Seok is a brillant actor! I really hope we donβt have to wait years again for another drama with him. He was the best part of this drama for me. Also his gaze sometimes looks as if he really whole-heartedly loves his counterpart. As Iβm a big romantic fan, I just have a soft spot for soft gazes like that.β¨β¨
Overall, really amazing drama! I actually donβt have anything to complain. There are so many negativ comments, but I really just loved this drama. I wanted to read some comments in here, but I don't want to spoil my good mood, because more people seems to be disappointed rather than liking the ending.. Well, I liked it β€οΈ
Literally MDL is the most toxic site I have ever visited :β) Every comment section is filled with hate comments.…
On what kind of fluffy puff sites are you usually if this is the most toxic? π Never tried Instagram or Twitter before? lol I actually don't see anything toxic if people just speak their opinion about the drama itself. Be it positive or negative. If it's about unrelated stuff to the drama (actors private life etc.), or clearly trolls, then that's another thing.
But here I just saw comments related to this drama. This is what a community site about dramas is about. People speaking their mind about it. Also a popular drama like this with a lot of viewers will generate a lot of opinions. It's weird to call everyone a "hater" if they didn't like an episode or the direction a drama took, just because they don't share your opinion or find faults in this drama. I don't see anything wrong in viewers having expectations, being disappointed and expressing it. Even if it's "just" a romcom... People don't need to have low expectations just because it's a romcom.
But don't expect the comment section of a popular drama with approx 28.500 viewers on MDL to be just flowers and rainbows...
I recommend "Knight Flower" comment section, if u want an overall positive comment section. Also the drama is really good, so highly recommended!!! π
I gotta say I didn't like the first two episodes and then put it on hold... The characters annoyed me too much. But then I started to watch from ep. 7 because I saw some snippets on YT, which looked interesting, so I thought I'd just jump into it. And I'm really enjoying it right now lol I skipped ep 3-6, but I don't really feel like I missed out on anything important π
But I really like it now! Todays episode was really good and creative. I also enjoy the bonus clips... Considering to watch those eps I missed now, but I hated the character dynamics back then... You think I missed out on some good scenes/episodes? π
The writing is so bad last few episodes. Not liking the way its going.
I actually loved the last few episodes π After the revenge plan was resolved, I'm really liking the direction it took. Not one boring second for me and I'm excited for next week. Guess it's all a matter of taste :)
Both ep 13 and 14 were sooooo good and exciting! Not one boring second. They really stepped up their game after the stupid revenge plan was resolved :D I can't wait until evil uncle gets what he deserves. I want to slap that smug expression off his face. He's so shameless!
Really loving this drama! Except the unreasonable revenge plan in the middle of the drama, there is nothing that I dislike. And the acting is just phenomenal. Jo Jung Seok is slaying this role! And the evil uncle as well.
I know Lee Hong Ran's blabber mouth is there to bring the story forward with her meddling everywhere, but gosh... I hate her loose mouth so much! She can't keep anything to herself. She's so insensitive. I honestly can't stand her character. And it's getting pretty repetitive... even in the preview for tomorrow. The writers could honestly do better to bring information to the leads. But it's always them hearing from her or eaves-dropping her conversations.
I also dislike Ba Da's wannabe comedy relief character. I could just do well without them... Just want to skip their scenes.
I really didn't want to drop this but according to recent comments, there is no point in watching this drama anymore. No reason to waste time for this drama. Life is too short lol Shame on the screenwriters for ruining a completely perfect novel and writing their personal fan fiction of it. If I'd be the original author I'd throw a fit...
At least I know now which screenwriters to avoid π
Sweet drama overall. I enjoyed the calm and slow vibes. The skinship between the leads was really natural and they had good chemistry. Lovable characters, especially the trio friendship between Yi Yang, Xiao Dong and Jiang Yang.
Although it was a bit too cheesy and cutesy for my taste. I cringed a lot at some scenes, especially public affection/confessions scenes. It's just too cringe for me lol Solid 8.0 for me tho :)
It felt like Xiao Dong had a huge crush on Yi Yang π His eyes were always so full of love and admiration when he looked at him. Also loved how he was so protective and supportive of him, even tho he didn't show it directly.... well actually no, he showed it directly. He loves Yi Yang very much lol
I really loved the friendship of trio Yi Yang, Xiao Dong and Jiang Yang π₯°
I'm currently watching Jo Jung Suk's drama "Captivating the King" and I miss his acting so much, that's why I'm on a rewatch spree of his dramas. He doesn't star in a lot of dramas recently, that's kind of sad π His characters are always so iconic.
I know Jealousy Incarnate is not a popular drama and got a lot of hate because of the heavy love triangle and jerk ML, but I enjoy this drama so much and I think it's due to the phenomenal acting of all the leads, especially Jo Jung Suk. I know his character is a total jack*ss, especially in the beginning, but I can't help but love him π Wouldn't want to date someone like him in real life, but why is he so funny and charming in this one? Jo Jung Suk's acting makes the biggest jerk into a lovable character lol Also I absolutely loved the dynamic of Na Ri and Hwa Shin in the process of the drama. They felt like a match-made in heaven.
But I can understand why it's not everyone's cup of tea. Still, it's one of my favourites :D
The actress is the same, but the character is not. She plays "Luo Lin" in Meet Yourself as a cameo, but here she is "Xu You Feng". So there is no relation to the characters she plays...
I am afraid it will get even worst as now the script doesn't follow up the novel at all. In general they picked…
Sad that we missed so much exciting stuff... And can't believe they casually killed Cui Yan off like that while he had a happy ending in the novel.
Always wondering why scriptwriters think they write better stories than the original. Because they don't. Most of the time they mess everything up. They should stick to the script. I would be so pissed as the original author.
I stopped at ep 16, because I lost interest in the show somehow and I am not fan of this past/present storytelling, but I resumed today and even if I won't like the drama that much, I will continue for Yang Zi. She is such a great actress who elevates this drama for me. I enjoy her acting so much in here!
I had to laugh so much at her drunken behavior in the Karaoke in ep 17. "Will he catch a cold from having his neck exposed? He has a really long neck." LOOOOOOL That was hilarious XD
This show had such a visible downfall since ep 12... There are just some dramas which should stick to 12 episodes to remain good consistently. I hate how they brought three new villains in the span of 2 episodes. I just can't with so many unreasonable evil villains. It brings the quality of a show down so much with forced drama, that I just can't stand. With the preview I don't see how this is gonna get better. Feels like it's gonna fall even more. Seduce him back?! Yeah, have fun... oh man π
