I'm on ep 3 and I can already tell that this will one of my fave Wuxia/Xianxia this year alongside TTEOTM and MJTY! I absolutely love dramas which has such well-written characters and adoring companionship. And both ML and FL are so likeable!!!!
They are both head-strong, smart, cunning and badass in their own ways! I love the FL! She's hilarious in some way when she's pretending 😂 Never seen that actress before, but I love her! Her acting is natural! I'm so happy that both leads are played by great actors! They both fit their characters so well!
But I had to laugh so much, because I didn't expect Alen Feng to play such a chaotic character! XD He usually plays such serious roles, so I was taken aback hahahaha
Also the comedy is quite natural and not over-the-top. I love that aspect as well! Some scenes really cracked me up XD
I really wish Luo Yin Xi would pick better scripts like that of TTEOTM. I had hopes for Love Is Panacea, but I dropped it. If the drama scripts were as good as his acting, then I would enjoy so much more of his dramas. But the ones I watched were just mediocre to me, while I did enjoy "Love is Sweet", it was still just okayish to me. I really wish he had better dramas, because I LOVE his acting so much!
The best of his I've seen is still TTEOTM to date. I wanted to watch Ashes of Love... but I'm not sure if I can watch LYX in pain again. His acting makes me so attached to his characters that it's affecting my mental health haha 😅 I need a break from a suffering LYX without a happy end in sight...
It's a HP spin-off but it's sad that it's a completely different director .... the director of HP had so many good drama projects, while this one barely has any and his last work was Heartbeat o_o
I was so sure that we get the Original director of HP but now I'm kind of disappointed....
Lovely first two episodes 😊 Not a dull moment, because a lot happened in these two episodes 😂 My fave character has to be grandpa with his lame dad jokes hahaha
I really liked Kang Tae Ha in the past and was actually sad we didn't see much of him. I'm kinda tired of the cold/arrogant CEO MLs, so I hope they don't go that route with his present character. But until now he rather seems restrained and even somewhat awkward than arrogant and I hope it stays that way. He withholds his emotions of any form (be it happy, sad, angry) to keep his health and heart rate stable, so at least this way his cold demeanor is understandable. Just hope he won't be unnecessary mean to her.
I'm watching quite a few dramas currently but lost kinda interest in all of them. So this drama and My Demon were refreshing and I'm looking forward to more! I'm enjoying both dramas wholeheartedly ❤️
Kim Yoo Jung grew up to be such a beautiful woman and excellent actress! She's almost 20 years into her career while just being 24 years old! I feel so old because I've already watched her in dramas when she was so little and now she's all grown up 😂 I think she's one of the most beautiful child actresses 😊
That was such a cute drama special! From beginning till end so well-written and the acting was great as well! I swear sometimes these drama specials are so much better than full-fledged drama with 16 eps 😂 But I can imagine this story line with a few more episodes as well, but maybe just an hour is needed to make a great story!
Does someone know a few other romantic KBS drama specials worth watching? I've watched "If we were a Season", which was also really good but kind of bittersweet compared to this one.
They should have decreased the age of the female lead. Kim yoo jung don't look like someone who is close to 30.…
There are definitely people in their 30s who look that young, especially Asians. Just look at actor Lee Joo Seung. He's 34 and still looks like 16 😅 Just one example... but I get where you come from :D
Am I watching the same drama as the "haters", cuz why is it that everyone is pointing at the actors acting???…
At this point I'm convinced they are just trolls and haters because there isn't even constructive criticism in any of their comments. Just hate and insults. Maybe we should start to ignore and report...
Just started this and I'm so impressed by Joo Hyun Young who plays Yeon Woo's handmaid Sa Wol. She plays this character so different, that I didn't realize it's the same actress who played Woo Young Woo's friend in Extraordinary Attorney Woo before I looked at the cast. Even tho both characters have similar personalities, the voice, the mannerism, everything is so completely different. She is a perfect fit for comedy as well. It comes naturally to her :D
I don't really understand the criticsm here in the comments. It was two episodes so far...Maybe because I didn't watch any trailers beforehand, but I really enjoyed the first two episodes!!
Never a dull moment for me and I already feel the chemistry between the leads. They have similar charismatics and I love that both are head-strong characters. Definitely a fun watch to see them clash and fall in love in the process. Looking forward to more! ❤️
This writer really has a way of splitting the viewers 😅 She writes really good second leads with whom a lot of viewers empathize with and splits the audience in who to root for. I had a really bad second lead syndrome in Start-Up and here I'm also aching a lot for Woo Hak, but luckily it's not as bad.
But I find it really annoying how this writer takes that "love triangle" or rather second lead's one-sided love until the very end and make them suffer so visibly. Like how could I be happy for the leads if they shove the second lead's misery in my face every few minutes. I actually like both Ki Ho and Woo Hak, but let's be honest.... I think they showed us more inner emotions of Woo Hak than of Ki Ho regarding romantic feelings or should I say development of them. I think it would have been great if they showed us more of how Ki Ho fell in love with her again after the 15 years. But we rather saw how Woo Hak fell in love with her...
I come back here from time to time to read the comment section and because I miss Tantai Jin 😂 Especially when…
I think it's been some time that I felt so invested in a character, so that's why I still come here months after it ended. My heart really ached for TTJ the whole time. Until the very end he didn't get any justice and was mistreated, misunderstood by his loved one. I guess I could've found peace with his ending if FL trusted and loved him after all they've been through, but she didn't. She needed to be turned into a goddess first, who is omniscient to finally understand him and the injustice he faced.
He sacrificed himself for humankind, who tortured and despised him his whole life. He was not an angel, but he was not the "devil" (haha XD) they made him out to be. It's funny that he was called evil, while he was actually the most lenient to all the people who backstabbed and tried to kill him. He always gave them a chance to repent, but they never took it and even humiliated him further.
Man, can't believe I'm still so invested in this LOL
I come back here from time to time to read the comment section and because I miss Tantai Jin 😂 Especially when I start a new Xianxia or Wuxia drama, I realize no one comes near to a such a great character like him. He's one of the greatest drama characters I've seen. Complex, multi-layered and the acting of Luo Yun Xi is just phenomenal!
I admit, I also have my guilty pleasures, but I felt uncomfortable at that "kiss" scene. I even wanted to fast-forward it, because let's be honest... that was disgusting! He literally pushed his tongue down her throat and strangled her. I find it even more disturbing that he said afterwards that he did it consciously?!
I guess I shouldn't think about it too much, because it's a drama after all but people going on about how "sexy" and "hot" that sexual harassment was, makes me even more uncomfortable than the scene itself... o_o
Am I the only one who didn't find that cave scene sexy? I was just uncomfortable the whole time. (I suspect that…
Yeah wasn't fond of it either. She was literally molested in his crazy state. What's sexy about that? >_< He was creepy and cray cray... And I didn't like how he said afterwards, that he knew what he was doing. Did he really consciously sexually harass her? That leaves a bad aftertaste...
