Netflix has a dedicated subtitles team. Same shows have quite different translations on different platforms. Of course they'll be infinite proofreadings before releasing it to such a huge worldwide audience. They're absolutely well-aware of what they're promoting!
that doesn't even make sense. this is an MBC drama, Netflix just distributes it

Yes it was a pleasure seeing the versitility of Mr. Nam Yoon Su. Re: Mr ActivistHe took the pills because he told…
As for the HIV part, if I have understood your correctly. Go Young only contracted HIV just barely before meeting Gyu Ho when he met his ex boyfriend. But apparently its one of the main messages of the show, which I have realised only later, is the concept of Undetectable= Untransmittable [U=U]. Which is, if you get tested and detected early on before your HIV gets transcended to AIDS (which may sometimes take years), you can start your medications early on to maintain an undetectable viral load, making it virtually impossible to transmit the infection to your partner. But yes in reality that very much depends on how promptly you adhere to your medication but definitely any individual would take his treatment on time. So it gets me back on this very question whether it was right or wrong of GY to disclose his status to GH after having sex with him, which would only make him run away in the beginning if the latter wasn't much aware of the actual condition of his condition and just running away at the sight of HIV. But definitely the still pushed on using the condom even though he was on medication which is still relatively safer message conveyed to the audience. I'm sorry but this drama appears to be more targeted to actual GAY audience like me than it is to conventional female BL audience and nuances may be difficult to relate as a person of the opposite gender, assuming you are a female, and hell yeah, gay men have an unbelievable high BODY COUNT! XD So you may not know how frequently his friends are having sex as this story is this is purely character driven. OMG I'm being so objective sorry, lol
hate these kind of dramas.. the decline, the descent, the ruination of a society thus begins*edit* someone told…
Yeah i can very well see you have created a spam account just specifically to hate on this drama for no reason. Don't worry the world has started awakening and have enough sensibilities not to get affected by the likes of you
That's exactly what irked me the most in the entire series! Having spent a huge deal of time on gay dating apps, YOU DON'T TELL A PERSON YOU ARE HIV+ AFTER YOU'VE SLEPT WITH THEM. You're only going to traumatise the poor soul for the rest of their life!
"... where, if you replace the submissive person with a woman, you'd barely notice the difference ... two extremes…
Media is a powerful that dictates and gives lessons, not to a lot, but rather many young individuals early in their lives, and sets really unrealistic and many a times dangerous situations from the usual overly normalised fluffy pretty pictures painted on usual BL media. People need to understand and empathise the real problems and real situations of the characters that the people the money grubbing directors have used and put up on screen. Yes ray of hope is important, but a stark boundary has to be drawn between what is expected to be real and what pushes someone in delusion and has the potential to mess up someone's life, and trust me when I say this, I have seen this happening in front my very own eyes!
And about the portrayal of feminine submissive and dominant top isn't really a problematic trope, but a rather heteronormative one which disregards the varying spectrums of individualism that gays display. You'll be surprised to find many manly muscular partners to be dominating in person but submissive in bed.
Despite all the gut punches the show has blown, YOU DON'T TELL A PERSON YOU ARE HIV+ AFTER YOU'VE SLEPT WITH THEM! THAT POOR SOUL IS GOING TO BE TRAUMATISED FOR HIS LIFE!!!!
