It's funny how the title is "Don't Be Too Emotional" and this rule has been laid down twice now and both times they both immediately proceeded to be very emotional LOL
OMG finally they released that whole scene at the grave that should have been in the final episode, the one where WSW introduces CC to his parents! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JH3VM1uJ0s0
That was actually so cringe. He's an adult professional doctor of medicine, why is he talking like a gen alpha…
The fact that he knows he's 300 years back in time but is still spouting modern slang and anglicisms right and left is bad enough, but "skibidi" FFS. There's a bloody limit
People who say that the acting was weak must have been playing games while having this on in the background, because that's the only explanation I can think ofβthey weren't actually paying attention.
And he has such emotions in his eyes. He doesn't even have to talk and you can feel his pain, frustrations and…
Yes, exactly what I'm talking about. Most people who try playing a character like that just end up being stiff, unemotive, robotic cardboard cutouts. But Minlee was clearly conveying so much inner turmoil and emotion while keeping his stoneface intact, and that takes real talent. One of the first moments when I was blown away was during the photoshoot with Pakhin, where he just looked very stiff with a totally indifferent gaze, and then Pakhin gave him some direction, and the subtle change in his eyes at that point was *chef's kiss*.
This is the big downside with the fixed pairing system in Thailand π So few actors in BL are staying outside…
Yeah the volume is much bigger now, so even though we still get a lot of bottom-of-the-barrel stuff we also get some real bangers, and with the involvement of big backers like iQiyi and WeTV the production quality is on a whole different level. I love that the bar for "good BL" is rising and if you want to make waves now you have to keep up and not slack off (like I felt as if a lot of productions did in the old days, because there wasn't much BL being made and they could get away with it since people were desperately watching everything they could find).
Thank you for the brain compliment, lol. I think I just find it easier than most people to separate the actors from their roles in my mind. I can enjoy some fan service like everyone else but I mostly just see it as a fun game and I don't really get caught up in shipping real people.
Minlee absolutely carried Payback, what a main role debut! It's not easy to play such a stonefaced, emotionally locked down character and do it with such ferocious intensity and subtle nuance.

Yeah, especially for more plot heavy dramas with more complex characters the fixed couples is a problem, when maybe one half of the ship fits one MC very well but the other half doesn't... But they still have to cast them as a pair, which will drag the whole adaptation down. Then again the avid cp fans will be happy and will defend the less competent actor in the pairing tooth and nail... but I still wish the Thai BL pairings were more flexible so we could get castings that would be the best for the characters, even if they break the CPs...even though I know a lot of people would get extremely upset about this notion.
Or, I guess, they could just be a bit more stringent about acting talents and skills when they hire actors and form pairings, so that they are better matched, talent-wise (no names named, but I think we can all picture one or two pairings)
Don't Be Too Emotional. Big Jane is the perfect mix of Lu Feng and Fan Xiao π
@miniMONIhyukKAI Don't forget to watch the post-credits scenes in Deep In! There's one in every episode! Saying it because Viki cuts you off during the credits and shunts you to the next ep unless you actively click to stay until the end
they purposefully added phakin in the finale episode to torture me over the wasted PhakinSky potential istg **cries**
