(´~ヾ) hmmm~~~ let's see....I honestly can't remember why I got hooked to CM. I discovered this drama by watching…
And I'm in GMT/UTC +1, so when it's late afternoon for you it's late morning for me. Previously I have asked people to state their time zone but most of the few responses we got were from people in the Western Hemisphere, so we scheduled accordingly. But I'm sure there are more people in your part of the world who would like to join!
Saturdays seem to be earmarked for J-Dramas currently, so maybe a Sunday would work.

We will just continue from EP5, I am kinda guessing they will need another week for 4Eps of subs. In that time…
For me there would be a learning curve, yeah. It would take time, and that annoys people. (I actually tried to download the files Estelll linked to, but I couldn't figure out how to do it; I feel very stupid. And my torrent client wouldn't accept the torrent links...possibly because of the Chinese characters, possibly some other reason.)

Ideally (but which is something that would also require significantly more work) there should be an edit of the time stamps for the subs. One thing that is problematic with Chinese subtitles is that they are on screen for such a short time. Maybe Chinese people read characters much faster than we read letters, but I consistently find that subs on Chinese dramas tend to flash past too quickly to read -- and I grew up with subtitles, so it's not that I'm not used to them. It's better for alphabetic readers to have longer segments of text on screen for a longer time (and appearing earlier, disppearing later). But yeah, even though I have never tried subbing I can still figure out that that would mean a LOT more work than just using the existing time stamps. I guess I should google some tutorials or something...

OMG that would be AWESOME! Uncut episodes! I don't know enough about this kind of thing, you'd need the hi-res files and good video editing software (and know how to use it, I guess) and then the subs would need to be synched to the re-edited episodes... And you might have to split the episodes into parts to keep the high resolution.
And someone would also need to trawl Bilibili for *all* the cut scenes and figure out where they belong...preferably someone who can read Chinese.

Hm, I guess the problem with Dramacool is that it doesn't actually host the files, it just links to other uploads, so you'd have to be a pirate yourself and upload the subbed eps somewhere and *then* submit the links to Dramacool.
Some subbers upload the subbed files to Dailymotion (possibly unlisted,I don't know how it works) and then embed the videos on their own site. EDIT: Or just on Dailymotion without having another website, I guess.
EDIT 2: I know of one fansubber, who was also faster than the offical subbers, who evaded copyright takedowns by uploading the episodes unlisted on YouTube (which means you can't find them by searching) and then linking them from her twitter account.

I read somewhere that the actors voices are dubbed. Is this true? Because I don't feel like it when I watch the…
It's common practice in Chinese dramas. But here it's obvious in certain scenes, because the lines were changed in the dubbing process to pass censorship -- but if you know Chinese, you can lip read the original lines. :) AvenueX on YouTube has done a video about what the original (much flirtier) lines say --spoilers for episodes 1-15: https://youtu.be/mXK5voXh6fk

To think that people were sceptical of Gong Jun before the drama started because his acting was so stiff and wooden... ;)

Aren't the summaries in mdl full of spoilers? I feel like they ruin the experience
Very very often they spoil the whole plot twist, yes. It's kind of unfortunate. I've submitted an edit for at least one drama to remove the spoilery bit. People should think a little before posting descriptions!

I want to thank you for your effort, and also second Summer fouad about finding another source for the video files that doesn't have a lot of the audio cut out like the official YouTube eps. Even though I don't understand Chinese, you can hear things like tone of voice and who is speaking etc. when there is sound.
Dramacool has the raw eps but I understand if you don't want to work with a pirate site.

i am very conflicted about this issue... i am genuinely not a fan of Ji Soo (never seen any show with him inside)and…
It is NOT like "telling an ex-convict that he would never be able to get a job because they deserved it for their past actions", because an ex-convict was tried and convicted by the law and has served their sentence; they have paid in fines or prison time and should be given a new chance. Bullies mostly get away scot free with what they have done, however serious the pain and fear they caused their victims, because everyone around them just looks the other way, or even takes their side. Some of them continue to bully people in their adult life. Whatever remorse or anxiety they may feel is nothing to the pain and anxiety they've caused.

I am not a proponent of witch hunts or cancel campaigns against individuals, but I do feel that all allegations of this kind should be taken seriously and investigated. If they are proven to be true, then the perpetrator should face consequences -- legal, if applicable -- or have to make amends in some other way -- if not directly to the victims (who may want nothing to do with them ever again), then maybe by financially supporting anti-bullying programs, or some other worthy cause. Saying you are remorseful is too easy.

Feeling more sorry for the perpetrator than the victim simply because the perpetrator is famous or has a successful career shows a remarkable lack of fair-mindedness and impartiality. Maybe the victims would also be famous and successful if they hadn't, you know, been victimised? It reminds me of how famous athletes get away with r*pe simply because they are famous athletes (or rock stars, or film company executives, or simply very rich and influential), while the victims are vilified and dragged through the mud.

It's easy to miss things when you're in a hurry. :) But it pays to look through the comments -- there is usually a kind person who shares the LINETV embed links.

This was actually very sweet, and while there of course was no skinship, there was a strong BL vibe. Little details that made sure we knew what we were watching. I guess the Chinese producers are figuring out exactly where the lines are drawn according to the censors, and then they skirt them as closely as possible without actually touching them.

The series ended on the 2nd of March, so it's complete. I've submitted an edit for that since it says it's still airing.

I have to say, the rewatch parties we were having every week (that eventually had to be split in two) played a big role in how much I obsessed about this series. Sharing it over and over with this bunch of nice, smart, geeky and funny people really elevated the experience for me.

True... but this trope isn't limited to BL. There's an entire "stepsiblings" subgenre in MF romance too (though…
Yeah, well, that's the way Chai Jidan writes (and she also wrote and filmed the live adaptation). I haven't read Addicted, but I have read parts of Advance Bravely, and that is supposedly "gentler" than Addicted. Her gongs have near superhuman powers, she spouts ridiculous factoids, her love scenes can be super adorable and then turn super toxic in the blink of an eye, and things are generally kind of crazy and over the top, mostly in an entertaining way but sometimes very cringey. I read it on Wattpad and half of the commenters are calling out the toxic scenes, while the other half seem to be loving them. I don't like to generalise, but I get the feeling it's an age divide and a culture divide.
Considering the nature of those novels, I would say that they are definitely written for a mature audience in some respects, but I am also very certain that many, many teenagers read them. And I don't really know why, but a lot of teens seem to be into rape fantasies. I know that if you do dare to criticise Addicted or TharnType in a public place, you will instantly be told that you are totally wrong and just a hater by some obviously very young people.

I've been curious for a while, but is there some points in this drama that got you hooked to it or got you to…
I'm with Foreigner -- I was hooked only few minutes into the first episode. I just loved everything about it -- the soft, warmhearted comedy, the way Akaso plays Adachi, the visuals, the music score, the idea of the telepathy powers and how it was executed, the interaction between Adachi and Kurosawa -- by the scarf scene at the end I was already a fanatic and dying for episode 2. And then there were just more and more things over the following episodes that made me fall even deeper in love. (I'm Kurosawa in the hug scene, LOL)
