I found this show very bland and boring. The casting was bad. The ML&FL had no chemistry. The clothes the main couple wore were just awful. The ML was extremely possessive (not in a hot way) and controlling. FL was too forgiving and had no personal (back)story or rlly a backbone, she allowed him to treat her very badly. I guess I didn't like it bc I normally watch dramas with more depth, but if you want to watch something that's just about the relationship and their love, there u go. I didn't like most of the things like the main actors, no chemistry and the clothes but I still finished this drama, so it was an okay show. It was funny at times and was a little bit interesting w the Male Lead and what was going to happen to them.

Had potential

I gave it a 7 bc it was original, funny and focused on many ppl but didn't live up to its potential.
What I liked:
1.amazing photography
2.originality (interviews and flashbacks)
3.FUNNY
4.JCW ofc. He proved how talented he is w all the emotional scenes and not just in action dramas
5.The other couples and friendships were very cute and funny
6.it was fast paced and pretty entertaining
What I didn't like:
1.The FL. I hated her and her reasons for what she did made it even worse. She is extremely selfish and is Drowning in self pity, hurting those closest to her and leaving the guy she married without Context behind bc 'she is too ordinary and her ex cheated'???! This just gives me 'I was abused/oppressed, so I can do it to others' vibes
2.some episodes were just there as a filler so I think 12 eps would have been enough
3.Rini. In the beginning she looked sweet and all and in the end she broke up w her bf just bc he was worried about her? And yes it's her life and she can choose to do whatever she wants but she kept secrets from her bf and then expects him to know what happend without telling him... Idk
4.the friends. When eun o told them the truth they were mad she didn't tell them not that she did smth no one should do. They knew how Jae won nearly became an alcoholic and they were still like I'm so mad why didn't u tell me.
5. Jae won became just pathetic w no self-respect or dignity? I expected more from him and I don't think Eun O deserves him. AT ALL

fluffy and sweet but nothing too deep

This show was very sweet. I loved their relationship together and their families were great too. I liked the plot-twists with her illness and all the uncle things. It was very interesting to see him go from basically an innocent manchild to a smart businessman. I liked how each of them had their separate personality and dreams and how everyone became friends in the end. I rlly liked the last episode. the reason for this low rating is bc while it was interesting it was also a bit cringy, boring, and very slow. Also, I don't really like Chinese dramas that much but still decided to give it a try. It was very sweet and I recommend watching it for smth lighthearted and fluffy. Also, Wolf was soooooooooo protective and possessive of MiMi it was very fun and interesting to watch. And the kisses in the last episode?! Yummmmmmmmm

contemporary

A very easy-going fast-paced extremely cute light fantasy rom-com.
Nothing original but very cute and emotionally moving. It showed college life, friendships, immature bullies, family antics,
loneliness, love, insecurities, a sweet protective ML and a VERY headstrong and determined FL.

I liked how the gumiho and Dam had a very honest and cute relationship. They both cared deeply about each other (I awwed every time they smiled/grinned at each other!!) and never gave up on each other.

I liked how it also focused on their lives apart and the other characters. It wasn't anything new (Tale of the nine tailed and Goblin) but it had its own vibe and that's why it can't really be compared to the other two. TotNT and Goblin had a more serious vibe with a fair share of action while this series focused way more on the mc relationship and how funny and cunning Lee Dam is, hence giving it a very contemporary slice of life vibe, but it didn't lack the fantasy aspects.

They had to overcome many problems but him being a supernatural wasn't given the same importance/role as the mc in tale of the nine-tailed. His life is ordinary and he doesn't really have a separate fantasy life. his powers were used for entertainment purposes and him being a gumiho showed how different he is and served as a main obstacle for the couple. But it was never too weird to imagine him being a human, something which was harder to imagine with Goblin and Lee Yeon because they had a whole separate supernatural life that separated them from the human world and being human.

It was great to see how the gumiho changed over time and became a really warm person when in the beginning he had 1 facial expression the whole time. I liked his non-toxic jealousy and protectiveness and I loved the side characters and their little stories.
The ending was great. I liked the pickup lines scene (gumiho and Lee Dam) and how they had a real red thread between them, making it obv that they r soulmates.
I also liked how the girl BFF is soulmates with the class president (been shipping them since the start) and how they showed that by tying a string (wool sweatshirt) to her ring (ADORABLE)
the second lead couple was such a delight to see bc of the cuteness overload and all the misunderstandings between them!!

I give it an 8 bc : while it's very cute and funny and has its fair share of interesting characters, it was nothing new and everything was about the couple and the romance (not much plot).
From the start there was one problem and that 1 problem was solved in the end, but it didn't involve many others or anything IYKWIM. So it was simple, extremely cute but no real suspense/action/heavy plot. But they also never promised more so its just high expectation after the two other similar dramas ;)

I honestly don't know what I am feeling about this drama. It started off very strong. The FL was amazing, the acting, the story, and especially the 2nd Male lead. This is the first time I've ever shipped the FL with the 2nd FL and I've watched over 50 kdramas. That soon changed in the middle. Like, the story became a complete mess. Everything dragged... it felt sooo slow and boring even tho I thought it would become a favorite of mine. The FL became whiney, the 2nd ML became evil AF and Kim Dan...He was a bit...plain? throughout the series, i didn't really like L as the ML but his acting was great. Ru Na was just weird. RuNa's mom was extremely evil in the first half and then she suddenly became pitiful and would never kill a person even tho she stopped many cornea donations?! Like tf. I think they didn't know what they wanted to do with the story and that's what made it fail in my eyes.
However, it was very emotional and cute. The acting was AMAZING and the 2ML's acting was more than what was expected of him. I think there are some plotholes or some things that just don't feel really well done but i think I've had very high expectations when i started this drama. I give it a 7.5 bc
1. the story was a mess at some point
2. It was very slow in the middle (8-14)
3. the story was entertaining and I constantly wanted to know what would happen next
4. it was cute and made me think a lot about God, angels, life, purpose, and all that stuff
5. I loved the FL's personality
6. The butler, she was so amazing and caring
7. The FL's and ML's later relationship (after he told her the truth) was soooooo cute and they were so protective of each other!!

I think the story had a lot of potential but well

Entertaining as hell, a bit frusturating

Well, first of all, I rlly liked this drama more than I like most dramas! It was rlly entertaining and I don't understand all the reviews that gave this drama less than an 8. It wasn't perfect, at all, but it was rlly refreshing!

Pros:
1. ML's personality was GREAT.... He was always honest, never gave up on his dreams, strong personality, and talented as hell.
2. Jo Yi Seo was a genius, extremely beautiful/cute, badass, rlly fashionable, and while she had her less impressive moments, she always corrected herself in the end.

3.The amazing friendship the DanBam staff had!!!

4.Yi Seo's mother was rather entertaining to watch!

5. ML's many friendships with many ppl ofc.

6. I LOVED how they discussed a lot of hot topics rn like BLM and LGBTQ+.....They showed both sides of the story (the hater & the hated, the accepting & the accepted and how these ppl al felt!!!)

7.GREAT ENDING...THE LAST EPISODE was simply perfect! especially the lil extra scene at the end

Cons
1.While ML is great, I didn't like how he handled his love life at all... I rlly hate Oh soo ah so I was rlly mad whenever he brushed her 'betrayals' aside and didn't move on nor do smth more w their 10/14 year old little so-called relationship or whatever it was. Nor did I like how -even after 4 EFFING YEARS f Yi Seo constantly proving herself and how much she loves him-he still did absolutely nothing about it and even was ungrateful enough to not even give her birthday presents?! and let her overwork herself till she was hospitalized?!!! like rlly? Well, he did fix himself in the end & was rlly sweet and protective!!!

2.Absolutly hate Oh Soo Ah's two-faced, lying, selfish, pushy, over-confident self.....rlly don't get why many ppl liked her aside from her face, clothes, and great business mindset.

3. The villains annoyed the hell out of me....Like wtf is wrong w ppl these days srsly...

amazing! dont drop it before ep. 5!!

I loved this drama so much! The acting was amazing. The story kept me on my toes and there were no dull moments. It was very funny and 'action' packed. It reminded me of 'Healer'.

The ML is very deep, loyal, driven, righteous, smart, and observant. He was also very cute with In Ha, In Ha's father and grandfather. He was also so caring and protective with In Ha but at the same time constantly teased her:)))))

I loved his relationship with his brother. The brother is probably one of my fave characters bc even tho he did something rlly bad, for the first time ever I still liked the murder in a story, just bc of how he treated Dal Po and advised him etc. Let's not forget all the pain he suffered bc of their corruption :(

I liked the FL's personality and how she never gave up. She could have handled things better and been smarter in comparison to the ML but she was ready to sacrifices herself bc of how good of a person she is. which made me understand just how strong she actually is.

I liked how the tables constantly turned between the reporters and the bad ppl and the competition between YGN and MSC was veryyyyy entertaining.

I loved how many characters in this drama constantly used the superiors' or other bad people's words against them.

There was not even one character that was unnecessary or too much. All of them were either very funny or intriguing (the mother). I loved the constant dilemma between good and wrong each character had.
I loved the last episode with my whole heart!!! it was amazinggggggg

A bit sloppy but comforting?

Good:

+Bae Suzy (Dal Mi) is pretty and can act well
+In Jae has a strong personality, is pretty, and I really liked what her kind of relatable character added to Dal Mi and to the story. In the beginning, it was interesting and funny and in the end, it was endearing and entertaining.
+The friendship dynamic between the Samsan guys
+The 2nd couple was cute
+Their loyalty to each other
+I really liked the CEO of sandbox. that woman was really good
+I liked how Dal Mi and Sa Ha became friends as well
+I really liked all the different competitions to win Sandbox (even tho Samsan tech winning everything was kind of really unrealistic)
+Mr. Han kept having to save them from everything and having Dal Mi not even going to college didn't sit right w me. The grandma had already sold her shop why wasn't she just grateful and helped by getting a high paying job *SMH*
+I liked how unique it was in a unique way. It wasn't a totally original plot or something but it showed completely different people in uncomfortable situations that they didn't expect which we don't really see often.
+I liked DalMi's mother in the end bc she regretted everything and was a funny character but never forgot how weak-willed she is and how she willingly left her daughter behind (who gives a child the choice to choose 1 parent like tf) and didnt send money or visit or anything.

Bad:

- Why was In Jae so freaking ungrateful and acted like she was better than anyone else??????? The mother gave dal mi who she didnt see grow up or see in 10 years a bit of attention and In Jae was jealous and even stole Dal Mi's story and didn't feel guilty ??
-It was a forced love triangle if I've ever witnessed one. IDK I just NEVER shipped Dal Mi with Mr. Han or liked him. He felt like an unwanted side character that kept giving them problems. and it has nothing to do with the chosen actor.
- It became really sloppy. Everything in the first half of the show was thrown out of the window. The father's struggle w business, Do San knitting became non-existent, Dal Mi always taking risks (which is understandable since she had experience after 3 years but it was her only personality trait so yeah)
-Call me shallow but I, and other watchers, care about what the actors look like in a show and for me, it affects how much I like it. By no way do I mean this in a bullying or hateful way. I simply as a human being didn't think the Males leads were handsome so that made me not ship the relationships as hard.
-It was a bit boring and cliche. no real character development and there were forced events to move the story. It had a lot of potential but lost it midway. Many problems could've been avoided if they communicated better which is personally a trope i hate

in the end, I did want to watch all episodes and wished most characters the best. most of it was quite entertaining and I'm glad they married in the end lol. I'm glad they grew and became important figures and got more money cause that's important!! it was more of a comforting and safe drama in the end, no real excitement or action or really emotionally moving things but it was a keeps-u-smiling-and-slightly-bored-but-u-keep-watching-anyway-cause-u-can't-stop drama.

I really loved this drama a lot! some episodes were less good than others but I think Lee Yeon and Yu Ri rlly made this drama good. There was a lot of suspense with those fishers and the other weird creatures like the imugi and darkness spirit and the nightmare bringer.
Lee Yeon is rlly funny, handsome, cute, strong, and capable. He was also rlly protective of Ji A (seeing as he LITERALLY went thru hell and back to protect her) and even a lil obsessive seeing as he waited 600 years for her and never let go or forgot her... AND his smile is soo cute!!
The FL Ji A is quite different from ur usual FL. She was strong and smart. She had clever tricks and was rlly observant. She wasn't really a damsel in distress for most of the drama and was always ready
(1. Always records things 2. Remembers a lot of things from when she was small like things her parents once said etc 3. She discharged herself to a psychiatric hospital when she was 9 by blackmailing her doctor LMAO WHO DOES THAT and 4 she didn't drink the tea -that could've been poisoned-, almost perfect!)

Their RELATIONSHIP WAS SO CUTE!!!!!! she called him her puppy and they hugged a lot and the ice cream scenes were so funny...
In general, I think the first half of the drama was more entertaining but I rlly liked the last episode and the last scene was really unexpected and a plot twist.
Yu Ri was really beautiful and an amazing friend to Lee Rang. And how she was w her new family was rlly cute
The highlight of this drama must have been the bromance between Yeon and Rang. The subplots were interesting as hell but the reunion with the parents was a bit disappointing in my opinion.. They hyped it up so much in the episodes before the reunion and then they just stood there -_-

I gave it a 9.5 and not a 10 bc even tho it was rlly cute, original, and suspenseful, it was quite slow and sometimes a bit boring.. Also, I don't think they chose who played the villain well...he didn't look scary or threatening at all and that kinda ruined it a little bit.

Cute and hot but unexpected turns at the end

I liked this drama a lot. That's saying a lot since I normally don't really like C drama!!

The story was entertaining and it wasn't boring at all. The characters were quite realistic and the drama covered a lot of aspects such as communication problems in relationships and differences in status.

Pros:
1. HOT SCENES. Now it wasn't rlly fast-paced but there was always this tension in the air. It was amazing. They were rlly lovey-dovey but also hot but bantered a lot too

2.All the side stories like the childhood friend, the colleague in love with Lu, the grandpa, the uncle, Celine (bff) and her financial and love life all of these were rlly entreating especially Lu Zheng in the last few episodes he was rlly entertaining

3. The last episode was amazing!!! Lu Zheng's change was rlly good and Nan nan's near-sacrifice shows how much she rlly loves him.

4. I loved how Lu Jin didn't just let everyone especially his mother walk all over his girlfriend and humiliate her. He had is bad moments but overall he was rlly protective and supportive later on in the show. Also he GENEROUS with his driver friend, like damn we all want a friend like that :))

5. Episodes weren't long at all. I enjoyed that a lot

6. The music was rlly nice as well

7. THE FOOD WAS LITERALLY SO NICE LIKE I WISHHHHHHHH

Cons:

1. I didn't like the lead actress that much for some reason. I liked the character most times but idk...she just annoyed me sometimes.. She was rlly childish at times like whining and shouting etc...

2.The FL character was, in the beginning, a very strong FL but she suddenly turned into a dense and innocent girl who is unaware of what everybody's planning. She wasn't working at all and just followed Lu Jin everywhere for no reason?

3. There were some plotholes like FL's parents? and after the hospitalization, the grandpa just disappeared? She suddenly didn't have to go to the hotel to work and didn't have money problems? like how?!

4. Some dramas rlly make the business aspect entertaining and explain everything, they make it relevant to the story. This drama was not one of them. It was rather boring with that.

5. The ML & FL while rlly cute and all are rlly at different stages. One is a millionaire nearly retiring tbh and the other barely had a job.... :/

this series was amazing, the suspense, mystery, and action kept it very interesting. The ultra-cute couple was amazing and added so much to the show. I loved the character arc of the main characters and especially liked how badass Jeong Hoo was, but at the same time, he was very cute!!!! loved ittt
ML was protective afff!. watching over her at night, spying, tells ppl to keep her safe when he can't. Fighting the bad guys so they don't hurt her, etc

Their families' backstory was also very interesting to watch and every single actor played his/her part to perfection
I recommend watching it.

There was a great deal of suspense and I liked the ML's family and their personalities. There was a lot of comedy. I liked the dilemma the ML had with protecting the FL and his revenge. I liked him protecting her too but at the same time, I hated how dense and innocent the FL lead was. Also, I wish she had made the friend and ML work more to earn her forgiveness. In my opinion, she was being a bit of a doormat. But she was the good in the middle of the bad world, so I suppose it fits the aesthetic, the best part of it was the FL adapting to her new circumstances, which shows that she is also a strong person. The acting was superb.

It was simply amazinggggg.. I loved how badass Sang Pil and Jae Yi were!! The trials were very detailed and the atmosphere was greatttt!!! There weren't as many romance scenes as I wanted but they loved, cared for, and protected each other so many times!! Everyone could see their love and devotion to each other. I thought the FL was a bit of a damsel in distress at times but she was still extremely outspoken, brave, and even cute!! one of my favorites for sure. I liked all the action and even the bad guys were rlly interesting

action politicle thriller with a lil bit romance

I really enjoyed this drama for the most part. There was a bit too much politics and scheming for my taste, but it fit the drama and genre perfectly since it's a political thriller with a romance undertone as others have said. I wished that the romance was developed better ....

Pros:

-Ji Chang Wook was perfect as always. The fight scenes were amazing. His warm, intelligent, and naughty eyes were also noted:) His physique was ofc also something to look forward to. I liked his character well (save some minor details)

-Choi Yoo jin (aka stepmom) was a very layered character, honestly probably the most interesting one as well but i just didn't like her at all. Nor did I ever sympathize with her. I understood her pain but that doesn't justify all the heartless things she did especially to an innocent child, aka Anna.

-The catholic Spain aesthetic was also AMAZING since it's rare to see smth like that in drama.

-Anna's cute side and the scenes she had with Jae Ha were also very sweet.

-The casting and acting were great. Everyone acted their character perfectly, if some character didn't stand out as much as others, then it's the writing but the actors really did an exceptional job.

-Jae ha's improving relationship with the guards (bc he deserved it since he is the best and he showed them many times just who's boss, You Go JCW!!)

-the ending! everyone got what they deserved and Jae ha and Anna were so sweet!

cons
- often I thought that the evil stepmom was kinda in love w Jae Ha which immediately made me disgusted for some reason.

-Jae Ha and Anna didn't spend enough time with each other or got to know each other so well to love each other -_-

-Anna's (weak) character, while I understand why she was like this (bc of her upbringing and trauma). I would have preferred if she was a stronger more intelligent person bc she felt more like a side character and a BIG DAMSEL IN DISTRESS. She always cried and trusted everyone way too easily. But I liked her and rooted for her from the start ofc

-The men's loud ass obnoxious laugh. Every time the father or Mr. Park or chairman Choi laughed that annoying af laugh, I had the urge to slap them I mean it was amusing but still showed how bad they are as human beings

-The freaking assistant, need I say more?

-I wanted to know what Jae Ha's freaking REAL NAME is, but they didn't even give up that -____-

The first few eps were really boring and disappointed me but after that, every episode was better and more amazing than the one before it. This is one of the few dramas where I literally clapped my hands when the characters did something badass or won and cried when beloved characters died.
I did expect more of the FL tbh. I expected her to be very badass, smart, upfront and as she was the best lawyer in her agency, I expected her to have more connections and to fix things herself, but Vincenzo is the one that planned 99/100 of things, the one that killed, questioned, saved, used connections. And while I understand that the consigliere of the Italian Mafia is a whole other league than a Korean lawyer, I still expected more. The casting was perfect but I think they didn't portray emotions that well, but I understand that it's more of an action dark comedy than a romance, melodrama, or whatever. She was extremely good as a character but a side character not a main honestly. Cause in my opinion she should've achieved more on her own than just follow Vincenzo's orders.

That aside: The music was amazing. This is the first drama where the music had my complete attention and the first time I liked the whole soundtrack!
Vincenzo is a badass to the bone and I liked how he always had shit under control. and if he didn't he always found a way to win. he was protective of his friends and family and he was deservingly well-liked.
Plus he is handsome

I loved how the ppl that lived in the plaza were all secretly talented and how loyal they are. There were many things I did not expect from who the villain is to who the secret hacker is to the trackers put in Chairman Jung's watches. Loved the time skip in the last episode and it was a really good conclusion to the whole series.
It was extremely entertaining even tho some things could've been better. Some scenes were also really funny and I liked the friendships in the drama. Tho I did hope for more indication or like the tension between Vincenzo and Cha young. Cause I felt deep friendship, protectiveness, loyalty, and true love with 2 kisses but didn't really feel the romance. There was a mutual attraction which was sooo CUTEE. and all the gifts they gave each other ahhh so cutee

Anyway, a bunch of smart funny talented sassy experienced people come together to take down their disgustingly greedy enemies, what more could we ask for?
