The opposite imo. Sagara can't even beat Eiji in the final fight, if he is strong enough he can beat him with a few hit, his connection with Yakuza is what makes him look strong.

I get your point, but "Medium to High" Violence is present in every IWGP episode, except Episode 4 (drug dealer and illegal immigrant episode). While Gokusen only have 30-40% of it's episode where violence is involved. IMO Gokusen's violence is less gory, just a Tokusatsu level of fight scene. Even Bad Boys J have a better fight scene than gokusen.

Sagara is actually not really strong. he seems to be nerfed because the main boys getting stronger.

If IWGP is medium in terms of violence, i think gokusen is pretty low especially in the second season.

If you want a more faithful adaptation, do watch the 98. This version is just borrowing the character (same like Gokusen season 2 and 3).

This version is pretty close to the anime but not the manga. Major difference in this version is that it's more of Onizuka vs the faculty.

Hachi's death is kinda off and ridiculous. Should've kill-off Yamato or Hiroki.

This drama is the biggest what if in J-pop and J-drama industry.

The poster is kinda unrelated because the movie is a part of a non-interconnected movie franchise (something like the vengeance trilogy). This is the DVD cover if i'm not mistaken.

Shohei open his own restaurant, implicitly implied that he's ending up with Miyu.
