Just what I was about to write. Most especially this ML he always turns into a simp that is why I don’t like…
Again, to reiterate my point, she was grieving and was not in her right mind. People often do not see reason in their grief.
Tbh, I felt the same way as you did when watching the episode. Then, after contemplating a bit, I could get behind why FL reacted the way she did. And ML saw through it, that's why he didn't mind what she said. He was not being a simp, he just understood the situation from her pov. I like that about him.
I'm sure FL will see the reason too. She is already showing signs of it in the episode. If ML wasn't holding her hostage, I'm sure she would have thought things through a lot quicker lol. It really did not help the situation.
Her previous leads were jerks, and consequently, most of them didn't have happy endings. 😂 Now that we have a good lead, he will be getting a happy ending.

I understand your point.
But Li Ni and Cui Lin aren't in any kind of relationship for Li Ni to dump her.
Cui Lin would obviously grieve the man she grew up with. Although she likes Li Ni, can he still match the brother she grew up with? On the contrary, I would hate it if Cui Lin didn't react the way she did. I would question her character for not grieving the person. Also, when someone grieves, they are often not in their sound mind. And Li Ni, the person who did not help in time (although he had no obligation to do), was seen as an outlet for her to lash out at.
I don't think Li Ni is being a simp. I see him as someone who is clever and calculative, but not ruthless. I guess it could be seen a flaw in his character, but I still like him for it.
Hahaha, I was thinking the same thing. Yesterday, I even made a comment about the comparison between this author's usual MLs and Li Ni. Her previous MLs were all jerks, but then she writes Li Ni as this good boy we all love.
But yeah, seems to be same dynasty according to the author.

It's not Li Ni's obligation to save SML nor her, esp not after the loss he suffer from SML betrayal. So I don't…
I think she already got that point. Otherwise, we won't get to see her softening up to him. She was already showing signs of softening up in the episode. While, yes, it was unfair to Li Ni, I can also understand her pov, and like that she was reacting that way. Also, as I have mentioned above, she was grieving and was not of sound mind to see the reason. I'm sure she will soon see it.

Can be interpreted that way as well. But FL was grieving and was not of sound mind to the point that she was even harming her body by not taking medicine. I can get behind that.

I felt the same when watching the episode. But upon reflection, I understand why she lashed out at him. I also realized that if Cui Lin didn't lash out at Li Ni, I would feel a lot more disappointed in her character. That was her brother who died, and Li Ni was partly at blame for that. Even though Li Ni had no obligation to help her or that fake Cui Lin, especially considering that fake Cui Lin schemed against Li Ni, she is someone who is grieving the loss of someone close to her, and she can only find Li Ni to lash out at. I'm only glad that Li Ni understood her emotions and didn't take it too much to heart.
It's funny. We see MLs, who are cunning and see the bigger picture, be ruthless to those he loves and cares for -- we call him a ruthless jerk who doesn't care about how he is hurting his loved ones. And now, we see a ML, who is also cunning and sees the bigger picture but is not ruthless. He cares for his loved ones and even expresses it without any reservations. He doesn't like to put his loved ones at risk or danger, even when the stakes are high. Yet, we call him a simp for it. Ah, MLs really have it hard -- Despised for not caring. Despised for caring too much.
Personally kind of annoyed at how they started it showing Li Ni as mature, scheming, smart etc but made him a…
I don't think he is being a simp. Yes, he is caring for Cui Lin. But he is also making his moves. I don't think Cui Lin's little tricks this time will work.
Looks like you are mad at Cui lin.😁. I will give cui lin little slack. LCF dont have any rediming quality for…
I realize that a lot of us here feel sad whenever Li Ni is suffering grievances. lol.
This author, I did not expect her to write such a sweetheart of a ML this time. If you look at her other works that were adapted into dramas, almost all of them had MLs that were jerks.
I don't have sympathy towards Cui Lin feeling aggrieved the Young Master died, all her tears felt nothing to me,…
I understand what you are feeling, and I felt the same while watching the episode. However, after pondering over it, I realized Cui Lin was reacting as she should.
The fake Cui Lin is obviously someone close to her since her childhood... like a real brother she grew up with. His reasons, too, on surface, look upright (we know he's not from Ep 22 teaser). As if he was really concerned about their plans. Cui Lin obviously could not refute that. But she was clear on one thing; the way Cui army acted was not morally right. Anyhow, coming to the point; seeing how this fake Cui Lin, who was like a brother to her, sacrifice himself to save her, she would obviously have grudges against Li Ni for not trying to save them earlier. One side was Li Ni, who watched as she and her army was attacked. A man she recently met and was starting to fall for him. A man who did not trust her. On the other side was her brother she grew up with since her childhood, sacrificing his life for her. I can understand why she would feel hurt and react that way.

Anyway, for those who are thinking that ML is going to be deceived by FL again, I was right. He will be the one to deceive FL: https://twitter.com/XuKaifangirl/status/1723978539425534360
