I actually started my c-drama journey with Meteor Garden (2018), wanting to see other iterations of Boys Over Flowers (k-drama). The second c-drama I watched after Meteor Garden was Find Yourself starring Song Weilong and Victoria Song.

Let's just say, since I started c-dramas back in 2020, I haven't been watching much k-dramas.

Fated Hearts still had super positive comments, at least when I was watching it. I even contributed to it until episode 16 (I was binge-watching while also commenting). I do not only rely on rating, I look at comments section too.

The reason I still watched Fight For Love despite low ratings and negative comments (there were negative comments when I started binge-watching it) is because the novel its based on is one my favorite novels. Also, most of the comments only talked about how FL can't act or how the main leads have no chemistry. There's no real talk about the plot. The comments section seems to be more positive now though.

Lol, I happen to share same views as you regarding Fated Hearts. I watched it last month. I saw the rating and thought "Wow, 8.7, but I'll have to wait and see". And I really dug the first 16 episodes, and then it was one of the biggest downgrades in the history of downgrades.

I also watched Fight For Love last month. It's currently rated 7.3. At the end of the day, I felt Fight For Love was a little better than Fated Hearts.

Again, not my problem. I was simply stating my views. I'm not interested in fandom nonsense when it doesn't concern my fav.
I'm not a fan of any of the actors or actresses involved in this drama or any other drama I mentioned above.

I only happen to really like TSY a lot, and I even happen to like LYX a lot too. Just not a fan of either of them, but I really like them and would definitely give a drama a chance if they are starring.

Still haven't started watching it.
Originally planned to start today, but now I'm considering waiting until the finale, because the drama is not based on any novel, and a HE is not guaranteed, especially since it is a xianxia.

If you’ve got some kind of personal hang-up or obsession with it, that’s your issue—not mine.

I don’t care about CPs, fandom wars, or whatever tribal nonsense you guys have got going on. I’m also not interested in pitting one drama against another. I was simply stating my own viewing experience. Whether I end up sticking with this drama or not is still up in the air—and honestly, the kind of negativity fueled by this obsession is already making it less appealing.

Also, just for the record, I much like LYX over any actors involved in this drama (and I really like TSY, a lot). So, as far as I'm concerned, it's really not about CPs or any other nonsense.

From what I understand, the episode count per day is often tied to how well the platform has secured brand advertisement deals. If the sponsorship lineup is strong enough, they’re more comfortable sticking to a 2-episode-per-day schedule.

The Unclouded Soul airing three episodes a day likely means those deals were locked in well before the premiere, and the fact that it’s airing on CCTV probably gave them even more confidence to go that aggressive with the schedule.

Except for when I first started watching C-dramas—when I managed to finish Cambrian Period and When We Were Young, both starring Neo Hou—I’ve tried multiple times and failed to get through his other dramas.

I really wanted to watch Back From the Brink, A Girl Like You, and most recently Love in the Clouds, but I always end up dropping them after two or three episodes, for various reasons unrelated to Neo Hou himself.

I’m hoping I can stick with this one till the end. I also happen to like TSY a lot, so fingers crossed.

Yes, it is still better than them. But we’re used to each country’s broadcast schedule as its own.

I can wait a week for one episode of an American TV show. A week for two episodes of a K-drama. One day for two episodes of a C-drama. We’re—at least I am—basically conditioned to it.

And then a C-drama comes out and says, “Hey, look, we’re giving you three episodes per day”, and then your current favorite C-drama suddenly goes back to one episode a day, it feels like emotional whiplash—even though, rationally, it’s still not that bad. 😭

Well, in conclusion, ZX and her roommates (pigtails girl not included) are grade A jerks.

Her confidence really took a hit, which was confirmed in her monologue in today's episodes.
