I hope it is true, because she did a very good job with The Legends -- which was also an adaptation from a novel -- although the drama had bad editing in the last few episodes, it was the post-production's fault, not the screenwriter's.

Talking about Gao Han (Shao Yichen) -- The last two times Gao Han collaborated with Xu Kai, the dramas ended up becoming the biggest hits of that year - Falling into Your Smile and Ancient Love Poetry - both released around the same time.
Falling into Your Smile is still leading in WeTV ranking charts in many SEA countries after almost 2 years since it started airing (both ALP and FIYS aired in June 2021). It's got great MDL score as well, 8.7/10.
Meanwhile, Ancient Love Poetry is a curious case - many people rated it badly on MDL when it first started airing - ratings even dropped down below 8.0 - I think I saw 7.8 or 7.9 at some point, if I am not wrong. Then as the drama progressed, the ratings started to go up and up and now it is at 8.6/10. I think if people waited until the drama is finished before rating it, this drama would have a higher rating. It surely deserves at least 8.8/10.
Now, Gao Han is collaborating with Xu Kai in two more dramas - one is obviously As Beautiful As You, and the other is Wonderland of Love (which is expected to release soon). There's another connection, all four drama with Gao Han-Xu Kai connection are adaptations from novels. The two that were already released, they adapted the novel well into the drama. Hope the upcoming two dramas will follow the same!

But, Ji Xing and Shao Yichen were together for a large part of the story -- Main story is 80 chapters long. Ji Xing and Shao Yichen break up 30 chapters in.

I watched this FL in Ten Years Late -- didn't find her acting bad.. at least I had no complaints. All I remember about her was that she's damn beautiful.

If the drama sticks to the original characterization of Han Ting and Ji Xing from the novel, then you don't have to worry about this story turning into a cliche CEO story. In fact, this novel had little to none cliches So no enemies turned lovers.. or cold CEOs turned loverboys.
