hahaha, I actually watched him in this other drama, which I loved. His chemistry with Lu Yuxiao was amazing in that drama. That's why I took note of him in YAMLF.
Also, YAMLF is my comfort drama. I have probably rewatched it like 4-5 times, so it's hard for me to forget any character in that drama, especially WJT's character.

It's not the Chinese drama fans that's building this narrative, it's only the international fans.

The cliché "Childhood friend, who is years older than me, probably is a pedo, because he's started to have feelings for me since I was a little kid while he was a full grown adult, is obsessed with me" is also boring.

I first saw him in Time And Him Are Just Right. Loved his character and his chemistry with Lu Yuxiao.
Also loved his character in You Are My Lover Friend.
He's got a very mesmerizing voice, too. I don't think he dubbed for his character in MR, though.

Criticizing a character does not equal criticizing the actor/actress playing the character.

You can absolutely hate a character and still love the actor. Like me with WZS (character) and WJT (actor playing WZS).
