I have read way too many rebirth novels and I never got bored of it. It looks like my type.

My reason for holding off on it was same as TPR, SML getting a lot of prominence over ML. Also I read that it was overrated and is not as good as it was hyped. But I guess it is my type and I would enjoy it.

I would have watched it when it was airing, but WOL was airing at the same time. I can't enjoy two dramas at the same time, so I made a choice to watch WOL first and then watch SOKP later. I even downloaded all the episodes, they are still on my phone, waiting for me to grace them. 🤣

I have been holding off on SOKP too. I downloaded the whole drama from mkvdrama to watch it, but I heard about it being too hyped, but it's not as good as it was hyped. I will definitely get to watching it soon though.

Regarding TPR, my hesitation was because, as per comments, SML got way too much screentime.

I actually started reading it 2 days before ABAY premiered. I had to put it hold because I was too immersed in ABAY and couldn't focus on anything else. 😅

I was actually planning to watch The Princess Royal next, but the comments on the drama page (I've looked at them on the day express package of that drama dropped) discouraged me greatly.

I hate love triangles with so much passion, but I can tolerate it if the drama is good enough. But I don't think I will appreciate SML getting more prominence over the ML. So, yeah, I don't think I will watch it anytime soon.

I have given you my pov about it.

Fans attacking those who criticize their stars is something that is a given, and I agree it happens everywhere. The question is, why is it that only this drama targeted like no other?

Also, rich of you to assume that I'm an avid fan. If I am, I would watch and rate every single Xu Kai drama. Go through my list though, there's a bunch of Xu Kai dramas missing there.. know why? I didn't watch them because I didn't like how they started. I also didn't rate them or cancelled my rating since I'm dropping the dramas early.

I also had my fair share of criticisms on this drama, which I have addressed in the comments I posted all these days. I'm still giving it a 10 because, despite the flaws, I greatly enjoyed the drama.

I'm either a no ratings or a 10 ratings kind of guy. Very rarely I rate a drama down (for example The Double, the ending pissed me off, so I rated it down to 8 from 10), and this applies to non-Xu Kai dramas too.

My point is as before, all dramas here get high ratings on opening day.. that's basically a standard practice.. blame MDL for encouraging it, not me nor the fans who will obviously rate it higher for their faves.. at least they are doing it with good intentions. They also have the choice to change their ratings later. Haters, however, are only here for malicious intentions. And they ain't changing their ratings. They also create multiple puppet accounts to do more damage. That's pathetic and sad on their part.
And for some reason, they ain't doing these things on other highly rated drama pages, ask them why is that so. But yeah, defend their actions to your content.

I'm bad at writing reviews, so I'll refrain from doing that. But I do enjoy reading some of the thoughtful reviews.

Also note that every other Chinese drama has 10 stars ratings on first day itself, but you don't see haters downrating the dramas so bad that they drop to 6.4.

And other dramas open with 8.8, some even 9.0... this one opened only with 8.3. if these so called balancers who are rating it down to balance it out, why not do it for those crazy high rated dramas instead of this drama which only had 8.3 at the starting point?

Everyone who's watching rates it high, and they have the option to change their ratings if they don't feel the same. See the most liked review for example.

But the haters? They ain't doing that. So, your argument is very weak trying to defend the trolls.
