A decent and watchable drama and the dishes and presentation of the food makes my mouth water.

Fry Me to the Moon is another women-centric drama about three female friends who rely on each other in the cruel business world of restaurants and their competition to stay afloat through investors and acquisitions.

Synopsis: Three women who wouldn't have known each other without a fight go against the routine and stand side by side in facing life's challenges. They never give up their persistence towards love and pursuit of ideals. Lu Zhen Zhen, who takes her career very seriously, returns to Chengdu while disregarding everything for the sake of love. Gu Man Ting, who married her childhood sweetheart very early on, wants to escape her marriage. She invites Zhen Zhen to join her business, "Chuanbailou." The sudden appearance of catering entrepreneur Liang Qing Ran disrupts their trajectory, and the crisis at "Chuanbailou" allows the three very different women to truly get to know each other. As their love, career, and ideals are tested at every level in the city of Chengdu, what choices will they make?

My Reviews:
1. The story progresses nicely in terms of the lives of three women and how they cross paths.
2. They worked together to avenge the takeover of Gu Man Ting's dad's restaurant.
3. They not only worked on their own problems but also became good friends and supported each other in business and personal lives.
4. The dishes and presentation of the food in this drama make my mouth water, and I want to try some of the dishes.
5. I enjoy it. It is not a fantastic drama, but it is watchable.

I give it a 7.0 rating for decent script and decent acting from the cast.

It is a good relatable family drama that has its dysfunctional twists. Good acting from the cast.

Islands is a women-centric drama about three sisters, each with their own dysfunctional dramas in their family. They hide from each other and keep it secret from their mom. Eventually, through life-threatening events, it reveals how they stood by to support one another in crisis.

Synopsis: Qiao Haiyun has set rules that all family members must go home every New Year. No one had ever broken the rule until the most honest third-generation Li Yijin suddenly broke the tradition of going to her boyfriend's home for the New Year. Qiao Haiyun has three daughters. The eldest, Meng Ming Wei, is not her biological daughter. Because of lame inferiority, Meng Ming Wei had great ambitions for her daughter, Li Yijin, but had a very tense relationship with her. Meng Wan Qing, the second daughter, and Tao Shuna were perfect mothers and daughters. Still, the two accidentally discovered each other's secrets. The process of rediscovering each other is also that of rediscovering oneself. The third daughter, Meng Yian, is like Qiao Hai Yun, strong and independent. Not wanting to be a strong woman like her mother, but by chance, Meng Yian took the same path as her mother. The three generations of women in the Meng family were like a flock of birds. Although they watched each other from a distance, they supported each other and coexisted.

My Reviews:
1. The overbearing mother is annoying. She needs to get a life instead of being a controlling mother.
2. Dysfunctional marriages for the 3 sisters, but the more mature and salvageable were the youngest daughter and her husband.
3. Xu Fan, who played an adopted daughter, Meng Min Wei, did a good job as an overbearing and controlling mother. However, I dislike her as a proud and controlling mom.
4. Sandra Ma played her daughter, who tried to please her mom but was unsuccessful until the end of the drama.
5. The cast acted great, especially Song Chun Li, who played the mother.

I enjoyed the drama and gave it a 7.5 for a decent script and good acting from everyone in the cast.

Decent acting talent from Vin Zhang, but the story is unrealistic. It went downhill after episode 6.

Live Surgery Room is a medical melodrama starting with Vin Zhang. He is a decent actor, and it was the first time I saw him act so emotionally in a drama when he found out why his dad committed suicide at Haicheng Hospital.

It was convincing, but the story went downhill after he found out the reasons why his dad took his life. Streaming surgery Live in real life is unrealistic, and this drama had no romance.

Synopsis: Zhen Ren is a surgeon who achieved his father's dying wish. With the help of ER director Pan, he joined Haicheng Hospital. He took steps forward to save a patient during a Whipple procedure. Zheng Ren devoted everything to being a doctor, and his skills caught the attention of genius doctor Su Yun, who began to study Zheng Ren's methods. Su Yun accepts and admires Zheng Ren as a colleague after witnessing his selflessness when they both signed up for the frontline rescue team after an earthquake. To treat a case of conjoined twins with arrhythmia, Zheng Ren and Su Yun join hands to form a team formed by a group of medical professionals that includes equipment nurse Xie Yiren, attending physician Lin Yuan (Wei Wei), consulting physician Chang Yue, and German professor Rudolph.

My Reviews:
1. The entire cast's acting ability was okay. Vin Zhang performed a decent job in emotional scenes. He is a decent actor, but he has appeared in many dramas in which I felt the scripts were not good, which makes his acting ability mediocre.
2. The first 5-6 episodes were engaging as Vin Zhang's character, Zheng Ren, tried to discover why his dad took his life.
3. Zheng Ren is a genius surgeon, but he cannot be the only one who performs all surgeries successfully in the entire hospital.
4. To have a story about how to survive in a hospital, they have to stream the surgery live, which is unrealistic in real life.
5. There was no romance in this drama, so if you are looking for it, you will be disappointed like I was.

I give it a 6.0 rating for bad scripts and unrealistic storylines.

Why would someone want to produce and direct this drama? So bad in many levels.

Step By Step Love is a RomCom drama starting with Zhao Zhi Wei and Lu Yang Yang. I wonder why someone would want to direct and produce this drama. The story is so stupid, and the entire cast's acting was horrible, especially the FL actress. She cannot act and only has a one-face expression when mad, furious, and confused.

Her character is clueless and annoying. After 10 episodes, I can no longer watch it. 2024 has been disappointing for rom-coms, costume XianXia, and Wuxia dramas. They are all boring and unbearable to watch.

Synopsis: It tells the story of the cold company President Lu Chen Yang, who is a cruel revenge machine full of calculations to make his opponent pay the price. He finally meets his opponent, the daughter of a desperate rich family, Qianjin Bu Ran. When a hunter falls in love with his prey, all the hatred in his heart turns soft.

My Reviews:
1. The FL is annoying and can't act.
2. The ML acting is mediocre.
3. The story needs to be revised. I may drop it when better dramas are airing.
4. The grandma was mean, and all she did was yell at everyone.

I am dropping it and giving it a 4.0 rating for bad script and acting.

I'm not sure why it made into a movie, not sure what the director's vision of it. So boring.

Ten Years of Loving You is a Romantic comedy starring Ren Mi and Ding Yu Xi. I wonder why it was made and released.

Nothing original or exceptional about the plot, and the acting could be better, especially Ren Mi.

Synopsis: At 17, Wen Heng, an adopted child, was finally found by her biological parents and brought back to the family home in Beijing. This heartwarming story explores the challenges of adjusting to a new family dynamic, a situation many of us can relate to. However, tensions arise when her adopted sister feels threatened by her presence and starts throwing tantrums. To maintain family harmony, Wen Heng is asked to move into a family friend's house next door.

There, Wen Heng meets Yan Xi, and the two embark on a journey of self-discovery and friendship as they live together and go to school together. But this idyllic life is soon disrupted, as Yan Xi has to return to America to be with his sick mother, leaving Wen Heng to face new challenges and grow as a person.

My Reviews:
- The story is dull and has little excitement.
- The acting could be better, especially in the case of Ren Mi.
- I watched it on YouTube, where the audio was silent for almost 1/2 of the movie; it was so bad that I didn't bother to finish it.

I gave it a 4.0 rating for the bad story and the acting ability of the entire cast.

It is surprisingly a short and decent drama that solves a mysterious murder of main CP's parents

The Farewell Song is a melodrama about 4 young kids who grow up together in Chengdu, and their families intertwine with each other when the parents of Ma Zhuo and Xia Ze are murdered.

Synopsis: The Farewell Song delves into the emotional journey of Ma Zhuo, a young girl from Ya'an, Yucheng, whose life takes a dramatic turn when her mother, Lin Guoguo, relocates to Chengdu. She connects profoundly with Xia Gang's son, Xia Ze, who becomes her first love. Their lives are shattered when Lin Guoguo and Xia Gang are unexpectedly caught up in a murder, leaving Ma Zhuo and Xia Ze emotionally adrift, their destinies entwined in a perilous quest for the truth about their fathers.

My Reviews:
1. Surprisingly, it is an interesting drama with an interesting twist, with the mysterious deaths of the main CP's parents.
2. The acting is mediocre from the cast, but the storyline is decent and engaging.
I enjoyed it and gave it a 7.5 rating because of the good script and production quality from iQiyi.

I don't like Republican Era drama, but this is an exceptional one with great acting.

War of Faith is the Republican Era drama about the rise and fall of the Koumingtang Central Bank during the 1930s in Shanghai. Led by Wang Yibo, Wang Yang, and Li Qin.

I don't like the Republican Era dramas because most of them have the same theme and a lot of propaganda about the rise of the communist Party and the patriotism of the Party during the Japanese invasion of China from the 1930s to 1945. War of Faith is a bit different, with good script and exceptional acting by Wang Yang, Wang YiBo, and LiQin.

Synopsis: Set in 1930s Shanghai, Wei Ruo Lai, an ordinary employee at the Kuomintang Central Bank, rises through the ranks due to his exceptional abilities, catching the attention of the senior advisor, Shen Tu Nan. However, as he confronts the corruption within the Kuomintang's financial realm, his path diverges from Shen Tu Nan's. A chance encounter with Shen Jin Zhen leads him to make different choices.

Transferred to Jiangxi as part of the Party's plan, Wei Ruo Lai became a key player in the non-military battle to break the Kuomintang's economic blockade on the Central Soviet Area. This unfolds his journey of evolving from a Kuomintang insider to a formidable red financier under the unwavering leadership of the Communist Party.

My Reviews:
1. The Republican-era dramas all have the same storyline and are predictable. They took place in Shanghai from the mid-1930s to 1945, with the introduction of the rise of the Communist Party and its triumph at the end of WW2 after it defeated the Japanese with the help of the Americans.
2. I am done with the Republican-era genre, but this one is unique because the main leads' acting is so good.
3. Yibo showed his best acting talents in this drama compared to his other dramas. Exceptional acting from Yibo, Li Qin, and Wang Yang. I adored Wang Yang, he is a seasoned actor.
4. The script is good and focuses less on the Japanese invasion than other Republican dramas. It focuses mainly on the greed and corruption of the Kuomingtang Party and their brutality against people, especially the communist people.
5. The brutal crimes and politics behind the rise and fall of the Central Bank's financial market were luring and engaging.
6. There is no romance between Wei Rou Lai and Shen Jin Zhen, even though her brother wants it to be. They love and respect each other but never confess their love for each other.
7. Sadly, Shen Jin Zhen died in episode 36 due to the ambush of Captain Lin.
8. Zhang Tian Yang was awesome as Captain Lin in this drama. It is his best acting job thus far. He was okay and mediocre in other dramas, but he was good at playing the brutal and bad guy in this drama.

I greatly enjoyed this drama and gave it a 9.0 rating because of the ensemble's exceptional acting.

Another flop Xian Xia drama even though it may have good actors. It was slow and boring.

The Legend of ShenLi is a typical Xian Xia melodrama about the Immortal and mortal worlds. It has fantasy elements with good and evil. It has good actors (Zhao Liying and Lin Geng Xin), but it is a flop (in my opinion) because the storyline is so boring after 12 episodes that I could no longer engage or watch it further.

My Reviews:
- Yet another predictable Xian Xia drama about the demons and heavenly realms.
- I love ZLY, but this drama did not lure me. I have watched 12 episodes already and am not convinced I should continue.
- The first 7 episodes were good, but it went downhill when she returned to the demon realm.

I am dropping this drama and giving it a 6.0 rating for a bad script.

A typical crime drama with predictable ending, and good acting from Zhang Song Wen

The Hunter is a crime drama about a police department working to chase and arrest a drug lord, played by Zhang Song Wen.

Synopsis: In the calm coastal town of Sanping City, the narcotics squad accidentally seizes a batch of new methamphetamine that has a rare purity in action, so Sanping Public Security immediately launches an investigation. The transferred police officer Zhao You Nan, with a keen sense of smell and insight, makes a target of Huang Zong Wei, who did the chemical business from scratch.

The cunning Huang Zong Wei ignites Zhao Younan’s fighting spirit. She keeps an eye on Huang Zong Wei. No matter where Huang Zong Wei hides or how false her appearance is, she can dig up clues and find the truth without hesitation to arrest. The Public Security team led by Zhao You Nan versus the drug dealers led by Huang Zong Wei. Zhao You Nan goes after Huang Zong Wei, and Huang Zong Wei is good at hiding, which stages a “game of cat and mouse”…

My Reviews:
- It is a typical crime drama about drug dealers. Zhang Song Wen is the only person who acted and did a good job in this drama.
- He played a likable bad guy, just like the one in Knockout, which has a better storyline than this one.
- It is a predictable ending, so nothing special but the cat-mouse chasing between policemen and drug dealers.

I give it a 5.5 because the script is not original, but the acting is good by Zhang Song Wen

It is decent drama about marriage, and teaches ones to set boundaries with in-laws.

Simple Days is a melodrama about a couple who did not set boundaries with their in-laws, were spoiled by their parents, and allowed their parents to interfere in their lives. Even though they love each other, they end up having a fake divorce to realize that they must grow up and set boundaries.

Synopsis: Gu Mo Li and Zhu Jin Cao struggled in their hometown to take root in Shanghai and start a family. However, marriage brought another problem that should not have been a problem - how to get along with their parents. The young couple's life was riddled with crises, from losing personal space to disagreements with each other's parents to differences between them. When things got out of hand, the couple discovered that the problems were of their own doing and decided to divorce and sort out their family relationships.

With the arrival of the divorce certificate, the challenges for the young couple and their families have just begun. Setbacks always accompany growth. After the divorce, the two encountered various problems, such as trust and financial crises, which helped them better understand their family responsibilities. As each issue was resolved, both parents understood they had to learn to let their children grow up.

My Reviews:
- The acting from the entire cast was good, and the storyline is okay.
- The drama's flow and progression were good, but there were too many crises and mistrust between the families and the young couple.
It is a bit old-school for parents to interject their viewpoints into their children's marriages. This creates conflict and adds stress for their children.
- If I were in that situation, I would divorce, too. The husband is so weak he can't stand up to tell his dad to back off and confront him about his abuse of his mom.

I enjoy the drama and give it a 7.5 rating for good acting and decent script.

I would not recommend you to watch this drama. Boring and main CP has bad onscreen chemistry.

Everyone Loves Me is a Romantic Comedy about a young couple who met online while playing video games. They do not realize that they like each other until they meet in person, and there are many misunderstandings between the main characters before they fall in love.

The synopsis is similar to Love Scenery, which I like much better. This one is terrible. I didn't like Zhou Ye's acting ability, and Lin Yi did not act well in this drama either. Their onscreen chemistry is unbearable. The 2nd CP has a better storyline and onscreen chemistry.

Synopsis: Newly graduated classmates Gu Xun and Qian Ling are reunited when they both find work at a gaming company. The sweet Qian Ling has long held feelings for Gu Xun, so she is devastated when she confesses – only to be cruelly rejected! Gu Xun is in love with a tough-talking, no-nonsense female gamer who goes by the online handle Nuo Mi Xiao Ma Hua. However, Qian Ling and Nuo Mi Xiao Ma Hua are the same person, with the latter taking on a very different personality when she starts gaming!

What will happen when Gu Xun learns the truth about Nuo Mi Xiao Ma Hua's true identity?

My Reviews:
- The storyline was stupid, boring, and immature.
- I don't like Zhou Ye's acting and character. This is the 2nd drama that I watched where she is the FL. The first was "Love Me Love My Voice," but I dropped it after 16 episodes because of the stupid script, and her onscreen chemistry with Tian Jian Ci was not good either.
- The drama would be better if cut to 15-16 episodes. The 24 episodes were too long, with too many repetitive scenes that could be cut.

I would not recommend this drama and give it a 5.5 because of the boring storyline, which is predictable, and the lack of great acting from the entire cast.

If you are looking for romance, then don't watch this drama because there was none.

Dream (aka Imagination Season on YouTube via Fresh Drama Chanel)is a melodrama dealing with business and entrepreneurs among 4 college friends with very little romance between the main CP. There was no kissing or hugging at all. The 2nd CP has more romantic scenes than the main CP.

Synopsis: The story is about four friends in university who meet after graduation and decide to start a business together. They are prepared to use the mindset of the Internet generation coupled with a whole new business model to serve Beijing drifters who are facing problems with renting a room. Through mutual understanding and cooperation, they finally achieve their dreams after undergoing a series of challenges.

My Reviews:
- It started slowly by introducing the characters and their struggles in building their IT company.
- Yu Pen Yue (played by Jia Nai Liang) is a genius among his four college mates. His arrogantness rubs feathers with his friends, clients, and competitors.
- His kindness, caring, self-reliance, and optimism helped him overcome adversities and win the trust of his friends and his lover, Wan RouYu (played by Bridgette Qiao)
- I didn't like Bridgette Qiao's character in this drama; it was so annoying and frustrating when she allowed fear because her parents' failed marriage prevented her from following her heart.
- Eventually, they get together, but there is no romance between them; the 2nd CP has better romantic scenes than the main CP. Yu PenYue and Wan RouYu did not kiss, which was a disappointment.
- The annoying part was that the audio went silent on YouTube's Fresh Drama channel, making it unpleasant to watch.

I am giving it a 6.5 because the script has nothing special, and the acting is mediocre.

Excellent drama and acting from the entire cast. A good tear-jerker drama, highly recommended.

Angels Fall Sometimes is a melodrama dealing with an incurable disease, ALS, and how family and loved ones handle and deal with the ordeal.

Synopsis: In the prime of his youth, Lin Tuo crosses paths with An Zhi Que during a summer internship recruiting event in their junior year. Love blossoms at first sight. With graduation approaching, the two embark on their journey from the ivory tower into the real world, taking on part-time jobs, job hunting, and planning their future together. While life doesn't unfold as smoothly as envisioned, they hold each other up. However, just when everything seems to be going well, Lin Tuo receives a diagnosis that changes their lives forever.

Lin Tuo is diagnosed with ALS, bringing an end to his seemingly ordinary but promising life. Future shortened, Lin Tuo is left in disbelief and unable to face his loved ones, so he hides from them one by one, and as time passes and the disease becomes worse, he is forced to tell them the truth. Faced with this new truth, his loved ones rally around him, not letting him give up as life deals him blow after blow. Finally, understanding this, Lin Tuo finds the strength in that love to move bravely forward.

My Reviews:
- It started slowly as it built up the characters and the progression of the disease that Lin Tuo is initially facing.
- It was a tear-jerker drama if you are in for a good cry, especially from episode 11 onward.
- Landi Li and Lin Yi did a great job in this drama. This is their best acting performance compared to other dramas that I have watched them in. Their on-screen chemistry is also great.
- Sun Tian Yu did an awesome job playing Lin Tuo's buddy.
- The entire ensemble acted great, and I enjoyed it. I highly recommend everyone to watch it.

I am giving it a 9.0 for good originality script and excellent acting from the team.

The story did not lure me in after 8 episodes. Too bad it loaded with good stars.

Judge Dee's Mystery is a historical crime drama loaded with good stars (Elaine Zhong, Wang Li Kun, Zhang Ruo Yun, and Zhou Yi Wei). Still, it did not lure me in because the script was bad, and Zhou Yi Wei did not do well as the main character in this drama.

Zhou Yi Wei acted better in The Rebel Princess than in this drama.

The Synopsis:
It tells the legendary story of Di Renjie, known for his crime-solving abilities. Di Renjie has conquered the imperial examinations and awaits his official appointment in Chang'an. However, he was suddenly dispatched by Empress Wu Zetian to a border town where he encounters many mysteries. Di Renjie stands up to the challenge of upholding the duty of the higher judiciary to bring peace and prosperity to the people.

My Reviews:
1. I like Zhou Yi Wei's acting in The Rebel Princess than in this drama.
2. The script is so bad and disappointing when loaded with good stars.
3. I am dropping this drama after 8 episodes.

I give it a 5.0 rating for a horrible script. It is my opinion so don't get angry.

Bad script and bad acting. The flow of the story would be better if it cut to 24 episodes instead

My Boss is another romantic comedy from Chen Xing Xu. He is typecast for the same kind of role. The plot is nothing special, and it is predictable. The second CP has a better storyline than the main CP.

The Synopsis: Are Cheng Yao's dreams of becoming a top lawyer about to come true? It seems so when a leading legal firm unexpectedly recruits her. Excited, she moved house so she could be near her new office. She moves in, full of hope, and soon encounters her new roommate, Qian Heng. However, a surprise awaits her on her first day at work.

Qian Heng turns out to be her direct superior at the office, and he proves to be incredibly hard to please! Her training period quickly turns into a baptism of fire, and she starts to feel he is trying to chase her out of the company. But Cheng Yao will be more easily deterred. She redoubles her efforts, determined to prove she's got what it takes. Could her zeal send this duo to harmony and even love?

My Reviews:
1.. The plot is stupid and predictable. No one would have this kind of relationship where an employee is co-living with the boss and cooking for him. She is more like a slave and/or housekeeper than an employee.
2. I have watched 17 episodes, and there is still no romance between the main CP. No onscreen chemistry between the main CP.
3. The entire cast's acting could be better, and the main CP needs to carry the drama better.
4. Zhang Ruo Nan acted stupidly as a rookie lawyer in this drama. She did a better job in RomCom's "A Date with the Future" with William Chan last year. Their onscreen chemistry is off the chart, which is non-existent in this one.
5. . Chen Xing Xu is typecast for the same boring role where he plays cold, bossy, prideful characters in modern and historical dramas. He has no range.
6. The ending is so stupid; there is no wedding. The 2nd CP, her sister, and the 2nd ML have a better and more mature relationship.
It does not need 36 episodes; the flow of the story could have been better if it had been finished in 24 episodes.
7. The misunderstandings between the main CP are boring and repetitive.

I give it a 5.5 rating for bad script and bad acting.
