I couldn't last one ep, the acting is that bad. Not the worst but certainly bad. The direction also feels amateurish. The only bearable aspect here is the aesthetic color grading.

I'm on episode 4 and the dialogues seem a bit long and boring to me ... Does it get better? Should I continue?…
not really. i think the inner monologues make it boring.

honestly, i would've preferred if go eun hadn't chosen anyone. i geon dug his own grave after the paradise date because he had literally won her over at that point. saying things that she has already been upfront about from the get go, made him seem careless and oddly casual about her feelings. add to that his constant ranting about liking some other girl then talking rudely to her when she was mid convo with someone else and then not even assertively approaching her. i connected all the dots at some point. He really came across as a red flag pretending to be a green flag. from what i can tell, i geon has a lot of dating experience, so he knows what to say and how to say it, but there's this weird self importance that isn't really helping when you have to win a girl over. he was the least expressive and the most unserious out of the three. he kept her confused and idt the stakes were ever that high for him, which explains why he wasn't chosen. hyeon woo whereas, made every rookie mistake possible. this man read how to not win a girl in 10 days i think. yearning energy? no, more like hasn't dated anyone energy(which is not a bad thing trust). his lines were way too corny, he was way too handsy on the date, had zero original thought, had absolutely no curiosity about HER, and was completely self absorbed in his own feelings. sigh. he was never really an option ngl. and then there's our controlling and possessive sungmin, not a good choice, go eun, but you do you girl. they are breaking up after a few weeks anyway. He isn't going to last, I can tell. one more thing i hated was how hyeon woo and sung min were talking about stealing go eun. she wasn't yours to begin with. what are you even talking about bud.

I've lost all hope for a Chinese drama's synopsis to be any good. It's always the same synopsis with the entire plot spoiled.

I’m already anticipating some serious fan wars. Brace yourselves, because the comment section is about to turn into a battlefield, coming from someone who firsthand witnessed newtopia's. We’ve already started talking about the acting here, so consider this a little teaser ig.

Omg I'll go crazy if I don't rant my feelings out bcz a lot happened these three episodes. I'll just list out members that stood out to me the most and why-
1) kim min gee-i wonder how authentic her decision was to choose su been. Or was it her decision at all. anyway the timing was way off to be curious for others now. also the confrontation scene with mina sue can be seen in two lights. either brave or rude, which either way is far too upfront for an otherwise passive aggressive show. But the efficiency of the confrontation was chart topping ngl.
2) mina sue- girl, go get your flowers for being the most entertaining if not the most loved. I just feel a little worried bcz idt you can handle the hate you are getting, given how sensitive you are. But good luck. Just had to be a little more self aware, a lot more considerate and a little less prideful.
3)hyeon woo-..... Icked out. Yeah. I was very neutral about him at the start, but after that paradise date with go eun I so freaking icked out. Can he please stop rambling on about HIS feelings and acknowledge HER'S for once. He forgot how this date involves TWO people, and he acted as if it revolved around his feelings. I was so creeped out by his actions too. I could see the discomfort on go eun's face. There was no getting to know each other, just straight up uncomfortable, lame ahh pickup lines. You aren't dating mister. Ugh. learn consent.
4) sung min- same text, different font. Let the girl breath omg. Why is everyone coming on to her and dumping their feelings? Idc if that's what you are supposed to do in a show like this but that ain't it. Hogging her all to yourself ain't gonna make her like you more. a no-no fs.
5)i-geon - DAMON SALVOTRE irl. period.

I think it's because the audience has changed. A big part of the new audience doesn't care much about plot or…
i think it’s quite the opposite. It’s more about media awareness than a change in the audience itself. Just three years or so back, kdramas viewers were far more lenient with standards, but with the rise in the popularity of kdramas, expectations have naturally grown. A majority of core viewers have also evolved their taste and can now better differentiate between a good drama and a bad one. i personally think there were far worse dramas in the last decade than in the 2020s. it’s simply a matter of perspective. but i agree with you in terms of viewers playing favourites. there's a lot of toxicity in these fandoms.

Problem with the "romance" is that it was very one sided. Even after the misunderstanding was cleared,…
I think it’s more about the difference in approaches between the two leads. It was pretty obvious that the fl liked him back from day1, but she simply had different priorities than he did, and why shouldn’t she? She had a huge amount of debt and this was apparently her first job, so she prioritised that over her attraction to the ml. Comparatively the ml was more proactive and easier to read as the story progressed, not that it was one sided. I personally think the romance was pretty convincing from the get go.
