Hi, I plan to watch this drama, can anyone give me a spoiler for the below questionI saw some reviews below1.…
Sorry for delay. MAJOR Spoiler ahead
Ep 35 ML and FL start dating again and the following 3 eps or so, hijinks ensue, because FL is still angry about how he treated her. FL's senior - Dong Han and Kai Chi work together to help Jing Cen vent her anger at ML and make him jealous. There was never any risk she would choose him. I think Dong Han helps her to show his respect and good feelings for her, but I don't think he's actually in love with her. I'm not sure which ep Dong Han turns up...maybe mid 20s?!
All the eps between 23 and 35, ML and FL keep interacting. By accident sometimes, sometimes through granny's manipulation, sometimes through ML's manipulation...it's pretty evident throughout, that they'll get back together.
Yu Quan and Jing Fan are my focus in this now.And Kai Chi is just so charming now too.
Ep 36 sees nice progression of my fav couple. Yu Quan is heading steadily up my list of 'drama boyfriend' material. After the early episode shower scene, my interest was piqued, but now his personality is the attractive thing to me π Despite being described as incompetent in relationships and a cold fish, he is nailing it! The scene where he sprints off to get flat shoes for Jing Fan and is not even breathless on return - both hilarious and hot π€£ π₯ (don't get me started on actors who can run...) And his snide/sarcastic/cheeky sense of humour in his interactions with Heng Wei, are right up my alley.
do people hating on her character?? i find it interesting, shes so consistent in her, as you said, 'eff you' personality.…
Yes she is a very unusual type of character for Kdramas! It seems; to be a likeable middle aged female, you are meant to be quiet, refined and sensible. Oh, and never make mistakes! π€£
It seems I am the only one left in these comments, who still loves Eun Mi. I love how she is so 'eff you' to everyone…
The spaghetti western type stare-off between Park Ji Eun and Eun Mi in ep 9, is hilarious! I love how these 3 high school frenemies, hold on to their grudge for each other, but still are capable of recognising Jin Hee's worth and wanting the absolute best for her.
The older I get, the more apparent it is that people don't really grow up π€£. Petty grievances, gossip, self-made drama...humans live for that sh@%! No-one seems to actually want peace. So these characters are VERY realistic, in my experience π€·ββοΈ
It seems I am the only one left in these comments, who still loves Eun Mi. I love how she is so 'eff you' to everyone who challenges her. I see that as a coping mechanism she would have set up, in order to KEEP HER BABY, and raise her as well as she possibly could, as a teenage single mother, with ZERO familial support (especially in a culture like SK where familial piety is EVERYTHING). And considering how awesome Jin Hee is, she obviously did something right!
I am a massive fan of Ahn Eun Jin, and Namkoong Min, but I just can't do Joseon era...the blatant misogyny (+ bigotry and classism) dressed up as saeguk. I know it happened, but it still informs what KEEPS happening! I just want to SEE the change I want to BE! Give me full romantic fantasy over Confucian era drama... That said, please tell me if it's still worth viewing π
I am straight up, NOT in support of Jing Fan's "My child, I won't share" POV. Unless the other parent poses a…
I don't know about Taiwan, but it's a VERY common trope in romamce novels from UK Ireland, Europe, Aust, US. Much like the whole "contract marriage" trope, I'm not so convinced it's a widespread in real life though π€·ββοΈ (I started The Way You Shine too)
Seriously though the supporting cast in this is awesome.
