Serious question: at what point do we stop referring to actors as idols? She has been an actress and not a member…
Thanks for putting words to my frustration 🙏 I feel like these endless references to kpop, in MDL articles, is like an infestation. There are millions of sites you can go to for Kpop. MDL is a site for Asian DRAMAS. Let the actors be identified as such.
I'm a fan of Falling Into You...Puppy character, strong FL, plus Athletics. ALL my favourites! Totally off topic, but watching Zhang Ruo Nan in First Frost atm, I keep thinking 🤔 I wonder what a pairing of Zhang Rui Nan and Wang An Yu, and their combined puppy energy, would produce!?!
Currently watching season 15 as it airs in Australia in 2025. I am again, completely hooked by this show. There's no mockery or drama, aside from a cheeky jab from the host from time to time. It's just actually about finding a match. If you love love, this is the show.
I totally, absolutely, do not like stories set in the 60s or 70s... but this is WDH. The dilemma is real.
Wow, I don’t like them either! Just the idea gives me the ick, but I really don't have any good reason why! Maybe. Possibly... because I THINK they always seem to come off as a bit pantomime or OTT (though to my shame, this is obviously a massive generalisation). The first sight of flares and platforms just loses me 🤣
Please tell me why you don't like them 🙏 it might help me explain 😅
I personally never hated her at the beginning and still don't (episode 11) or rather I don't know if I hate her…
I agree with this. I don't dislike FL, but the lack of development, right up to the last moment, is just honestly, dull. There's satisfaction in things like her career, and the peripheral minor conflicts being resolved, but the major themes and conflicts - basically FL's misunderstanding and being misunderstood by everyone else - just go onandonandonandon....
"Kim Ji Soo and Seo In Guk recently finished filming in the Philippines for Boyfriend on Demand." Any particular reason they were filming in The Phillipines? Seasonal weather conditions? Plot and Setting reasons? ... Anyone? [Sorry; my weird 🧠 brain focus on nit-pickery facts... they itch like brain nits...I need to know!]
For any KGE superfans, you can spot KGE very briefly, in a Nespresso Ad with George Clooney and others. It featured on the USA NFL superbowl this week (Sunday 9th Feb I think) ...I can't do US "football", but reels of the featured ads are fun to watch.
So, STILL AGAIN all the adults in his life SUCK. EVERYBODY. There's NO ONE on his side. And every time the plot…
I left this after ep3 and took a break thinking it might be easier to watch as a binge. But no, it’s worse. I've only managed it by mostly skip watching. But now at the start of ep9, I just can't go any further. I agree, the whole thing comes off as exploitative. I'm saying FUCK THIS too. Watching these children be so relentlessly emotionally abused, is just sick IMO.
...some tropes, though very common, aren't entirely logical. Audiences have grown accustomed to these tropes because they have just seen them so often, creating a kind of custom. I wanted Flourished Peony to break out of that custom and present a story that is logical....Through these plotlines, I hope to show people a sense of moral integrity [that exists] between women. I want to offer some strength to more women and encourage them to bravely pursue whatever it is that they want to do and not to belittle themselves or suffer in silence...
Zhang Yuan Ang is speaking my language! *Adding all of Zhang Yuan Ang's dramas to my PTW list* Now to invent time travel so I can watch them all 😅
But IMO, Life Gives You Tangerines is a much more interesting topic...
