Okay, maybe a lot of people may not like this drama since it doesn’t really have a specific plot which may annoy people but honestly, that’s one of the good things about it. It managed to entertain me without needing to have a huge plot, some people may disagree with me and that’s fine since this is solely my opinion. I like how the drama throws away the usual annoying romcom plot where the ML is a rich guy with a cold personality and the FL is a poor, whiny brat who’s almost always complaining. In this one it’s actually quite the opposite, the ML is a cheery, selfless and awkward character who always puts others first, the FL is a movie translator with self-confidence that makes her a really likeable character. The second lead couple’s roles are switched. The 2ML is a poor college student with a hobby for painting and is quite sensitive at times, the 2FL is a cold, fierce chaebol ( which is nice for once ) . The cast overall is great and the acting just makes it all better, I really love Run On and even though romance isn’t always my cup of tea compared to other genres this will always remain a gem in my heart.
Though I’d really like to see more dramas where the ML is dumb and has an average lifestyle and where the FL is popular and smart. I guess ‘He Is Psychometric’ ( Kdrama ) is one of those. ‘Run On’ ( Kdrama ) is also a good example when it comes the second lead couple but the main lead couple also fits that criteria since the FL is seemingly more dominant than the ML which I found adorable lol.
I like how this isn’t really your typical Chinese romcom where the FL is really dumb and useless and the ML is rude, rich and has terrible parents. The FL is smart at times and the main cast is pretty great. Not to mention that this reminds me of Reply 1988

Maybe it may seem like I might not understand much as someone who is still in high school but this review made me feel old. I think it’s the case of some girls obsessing over bl to the point it’s worrying and hating on girls love, claiming it’s disgusting...which I don’t understand as a bisexual..
It’s over. My heart’s broken, this drama really took a toll on my mental health but I loved it still! Gonna miss not looking forward to Mouse every Thursday and Wednesday now...
the description makes it sound like the romance is going to be between the two male leads while the fl is a third wheeler lol. though bl dramas are NEVER this long, EVER. Though I love the casting and sometimes am into this type of plot, soo.
