Yes, I agree. I don't understand all the negativity directed towards the FL in some comments. Yes, she is a bit…
Yep, I also feel that people call her dump only because she just doesn't listen to the ML, but come on, he doesn't give her any reason, just tells something like "this person is not as good as you think" - but tell her why, tell her he didn't save her. Nope, ML is just angry she can't see what she didn't see because he himself didn't show it to her :D I feel like I am gonna be frustrated about ML constantly not telling FL something about their past, but at the same time wanting her to behave better than she behaved in the past (facepalm).
I actually like the FL. She is forced to act a bit dump by the plot, but things she says and the way she behaves is much better than 90% of c-drama FLs. She looks believable when fighting. She is able to say what she thinks and not afraid to hurt someone's feelings (her communication with Cang Qi was very cool). The ML acts cold, pretends he doesn't care, and doesn't want to tell her the whole truth? To hell with him, she goes travelling, setting her own goals π
Another feel good drama. It's okay but nothing special. Enough to get a solid 7.5 from me.
Maybe you can recommend more dramas like this then? With no annoying secondary characters and with good dialogues? Ah, and no childish female leads, I loved FL here for how mature she was.
I have a feeling based on the trailer - that there will be a lot of flashbacks to FL's previous lives and her…
Yeah, after ep 5-6 certain things became more clear. I actually feel there is not many revelations left about her past, maybe her story with the ML indeed. I keep having the feeling this story could be told so, so much better, than by this scriptwriter and director. Or maybe if creators were not forced by the reality of c-drama to balance ML and FL on-screen presence, then it would be a FL-centered story with the ML showing up occasionally until they meet in "now". It could be less messy and even more intriguing.
I was kind of surprised by Li HongYi's substandard performance, but I think it had to do with him filming a LOT…
Well, I have high hopes for The Blood of Youth, which I am gonna start soon, but I also am ready to accept that LHY just doesn't match the level of energy I expect from the actor, especially from the main lead. We'll see.
I think we lost a big comic talent in Zhu Zanjin, as he is usually villain in dramas. I laughed so much when he showed up here. (I am still not sure he is not a villain though).
Usually people complain about dramas being draggy.... πFor once this one is quite fast paced and now everyone…
Well, if only it had that pacing all the time, but in fact it slows down already in episode 2, and I feel more bored and less entertained. Anyway, will soon decide to drop or not to drop :)
Wow, why do I feel they covered 3/4 of the summary in just half of the episode 1? :D If they could tell the rest of the plot in the same way, we could have just a 1.5h movie :D Also, ML: (walking slowly) ML's voiceover: I rushed here... π
But! I am actually having some fun. Like, ML burying FL in the first episode, that was unexpected! So, let's try an episode or two more.
Imao, Li Hong Yi's style is always the same, as well as his roles and low energy on the screenI used to like him…
I think I liked him when I first saw him, but in the middle of that drama I got bored with his acting style, there is indeed very little energy in it. He looks fine. But he can't hold my attention for a long time. But if the story and supporting cast are good, I can continue watching.
